    Hi guys
I'm so happy that I found this video. It's perfect Idea for my mitre saw station. Your solution with legs (beams) is absolutely fantastic and simple. Couldn't find similar idea. I'm glad I came across your video.
I have only one thing legs are from thick beams 95mm x 75mm and then I will use CLS beams 89mm x 38mm 2.4m long. In Europe guys it's much harder and expensive to do it at least in UK.
Once again thank you very much.
    Well done!!!
    Kind regards
    😁

I followed this basic design with a few modifications to suit my needs. I made it 10’ long. I “cut out” a space on the bottom so I could fit a job box underneath on the infeed side. Then I went goofy and made the top out of two layers of 3/4” oak veneer plywood with 3/4” x 1 1/2” oak trim. It’s almost done. I fit it to my 35 year old Craftsman chop saw. (Can’t really call it a miter saw.). It will be easy to modify it for the new Bosch 12” axial saw I will be getting soon. Thanks!

I built this very same station and I made a modification ... the front 2x4x27 inch piece I took it and laid it down so it’s flat and I didn’t screw the 2’x27” plywood to the station... this way if I want to take it outside to work I can just slide it out and go... also you said about making a dust collection hood for it... dust is a huge problem with my miter saw but I haven’t seen your hood yet plz let me know when you make it. I’m very interested in making one also thanks... great videos

I made a miter saw station. The design was very different, but I did the thing where you lay a level across the base of the saw to make sure the wings are perfectly flush with the saw's base. Worked great. Until about a month later, when everything seems to have shifted or warped or something. Woodworking is hard. The universe seems to conspire against you.

Like the simple design, like the SketchUp diagrams. Was ready to make this and then noticed that some of your screws are "toe-nailed," i.e. put in at a diagonal to reach a vertical piece. I don't think that'll affect the function, I just don't like the look (I know, to each his own, eye of the beholder, etc). I'll have to look at the details, but I think that could be avoided by using glue instead of screws (which might defeat your purpose of making this a quick-and-easy project).
