came here to say this, the sunscreen or other products like ones that contain isopropyl alcohol could have damaged it or removed it plus him putting it in his pocket
Yeah i am an iPhone kid but i use samsung too, but its a fact that it will not come in iPhone. Same issue is happening with me. And i have tried to get rid of that trying different methods but still no solution. I think is because of that anti glare coating or something
i mean, i was gonna say it as a joke. i think both are good brands but i just prefer the cleanness the iphone provides, along with imessage because i dont have a number, so at least i can text other people that have iphones
@@lbeetech That's not how it works. Sure the phone is water resistant. But soap and detergent can losen the adhesive and seal for the water to get into the phone. Sure you can put soap on the screen, but something like a dishwashing detergent will losen the seal between the screen and the housing. Once the seal is broken, say goodbye to water resistance.
Parker you have to use either alcohol or soap to completely get rid of any trace of the sunscreen. I would suggest soap as a better option as it's not harmful for the oleophobic coating of the phone. Hope that helps
With a screen protector... This problem could be costing you 1-50$. Just buy a new screen protector whenever the old one has gone bad. (Scratched badly, cracked from multiple spots, won't become clean even if you tried everything)
its cuz sunscreen is mostly oil, this oil sticks to things real good, even glass. The spray your using isnt entirely getting rid of the oil, just the top layer. You need to use soapy water
@@CheifDGit definitely can be, different kinds of glass may be more or less porous and perhaps their anti glare glass is more porous than the gorilla glass on other phones
I think it's the anti-reflective thing on the S24 ultra that makes it look even more dirty because the reflections are white and on the ultra they are dark so they don't blend in
I wanted to write just that. We can see that the screen of the second phone looks a lot more gray and there's a lot of light reflected in that surface. Meanwhile, the S24 U looks like a black hole! Of course a ketchup stain will highlight a lot more inside a white shirt than a light red shirt.
A sponge has pores that can be seen and so has cheese, be it green or yellow; and so, too, have glass and metals, but the pores or holes in the latter are so small that you couldn't see them even with a high-powered microscope, but in glass they are large enough to let light go through them and in metals they are large. So I think the sun cream has sinker in to the glass
But wiping it with alcohol slowly destroys the oleophobic coating so it is not advisable. Also when alcohol seeps into the sides of the screen, it could eventually destroy it.
My recommendation is to try isopropyl alcohol, aka rubbing alcohol. It’s pretty easy to obtain, at an affordable price. I get 200-300 alcohol swabs for $2-5 depending on the store. Alcohol swabs work great to quell nausea, as well. Open a swab and inhale near the swab.
Its a coating that reduces grime sticking to your phone you can buy kits to reapply that coating. I've heard that some people who buy old phones do this coating.
I would more thoroughly clean your phone screen, there’s probably just some sunscreen stuck on there that shows when you touch it. You could also just put a screen protector on it which would fix it
99.9% isopropyl alcohol, wash your hands, and you can see white smears on a darker screen with less repfection as opposed to a screen that reflects so much that the smears kinda just blend in 👍
Sunscreen is usually a silicone based oil, which is very difficult to remove. Maybe something like talc powder to absorb the oil, then a detergent based cleaner
$10 at walmart, liquid glass, not really a screen protector as it claims but it does add an Oleaphobic coating (used it on my phone, tablet, and even my glasses as it helps prevent fogging up which helped during the masked daya).
There's a screen protector that prevents marks like that. I think it's ceramic matte. I have it on my phone. No dirty marks like that. Fingerprint scanner still works.
There's another type of screen protector that prevents dirty marks like that. I think it's ceramic matte. I have it on my phone. No marks like parker's. Fingerprint scanner not affected.
Use the cleaner that Apple uses it’s called whoosh. It can take all marks off even the hard to clean off ones. First let the cleaner sit for a couple of seconds then wipe it thoroughly with a strong force. Also clean your hands with a bar of soap before touching the clean phone. Hope it helps
Yo, I'm having the same problem with my 24u I think it might be because of the anti-glare coating they put on the screen. Even when I use an anti-reflective screen protector, I still have the same issue.just a drop of water on the protector it makes stains
Using a hydroxyl group or ketone based cleaner, It will strip the oils from the surface. Though be cautious use light hand, use moderation, and diluted solutions so to not remove the oleophobic coating.
Use soap or alcohol to clean it, then reapply the oleophobic coating. Had an issue with an old phone that flet rougher on one part of the screen and got smudged there much easier. Did what I mentioned above and it was like new both in look and feel.
The oil of the hand is same , its just that a clean screen on 24u doesn't reflect light as much as the oil is , where as for other device is screen is more reflective
If I were to give you a recommendation, there’s probably an extra layer of like sunscreen grease or some thing you’re gonna need some kind of other cleaner such as Dan or screen cleaner. the residue is probably still there even though you cleaned it off
Just try to wash in detergent+water. Sun screen is hydrophobic that's why water is not working on that, but soap solution or detergent water make micelles on sunscreen particles, making it easier to remove it from the mobile screen (I know it sounds crazy to wash your mobile with detergent+water, but your mobile is IP68 protection)
i used electronic contacts cleaner spray on a cloth, then wipe it on to clean my screen if something really oily stuck to it (i work on my car often) basically alcohol wipes would also do the trick. have a try

1.Replace the screen guard 2. Spray the cleaning solution on screen And let it dry on the screen try it 2-3 time Then, at Your final clean wipe it as normal you do. Might work 😅
91% Isopropyl alcohol will remove it. Just make sure to wipe to the edge of the screen and off a few times with the isopropyl and if you've got it mostly off, just give it a final wipe down the normal way and you should be fine
I think that's because the screen doesn't reflect light, when your fingers leave skin oil on the screen, it is more reflective and looks this way. I imagine it was like this before, you just never noticed it
Everything has pores, even glass. It's waterproof. Use a light amount of soap mixed in water and wipe it down
Not a bad idea
It's not waterproof, but it does have a water resistance of 8
I use this for cleaning toothpaste off of things. Isopropyl alcohol doesn't do anything, but soapy water works instantly
Great idea
Not waterproof better fact check your facts before you even try and comment
May be the oleophobic coating was danaged or removed by the sunscreen and you can use an oleophobic coating kit for phone to fix the issue
