Looking back on it, Bay's production really messed up Megatron. However, they really didn't flesh him out at all, choosing to only rush his involvement further. @@etam8099 I don't agree with your response, although I do appreciate it. I don't believe you need Megatron in Transformers, at least not always. Now, I don't mean to say that he shouldn't exist, but I believe he should be a Thanos-esque character, since you've used an endgame reference. He's a final boss, one whom could open the gates to a new chapter in Transformers film lore. Such as Starscream is a Loki character, so too can Megatron be the final villain to the overall story. During that time, why can't you focus on other characters? You could do a Seeker film, a Shockwave or Soundwave film,or you could do any film revolving around a main villain of that particular movie. Look at Dropkick and Shatter. Those two are, in the grand scheme of things, Decepticon underlings searching for Optimus, but they came across as great main villains in Bumblebee. As for your overview for on Galvatron and his plan for rebuilding his Decepticons under KSI's nose-it was a great idea done poorly. As for his design, it's a unique concept, but with its load of issues. How does Galvatron function if he has no spark? The giant hole in his chest, while cool, makes no sense, logically. He also, in my opinion, looks too human. It makes me feel strange everytime he comes on screen with human facial expressions. Also, his transformation process doesn't quite make sense, because it seems needlessly limited. Megatron should be done in the same vain as Thanos, but written differently. You cannot rush to him, without overlooking the other transformers. My eyes are on Shockwave and Soundwave, because they've always played second fiddle to Megatron. Even Starscream, whom led the fight against Megatron at one point, never got to be fleshed out as Megatron. You sound like a casual fan of the shows and a die-hard of the movies, so I can understand the love for it, but if you've seen each of the shows in their entirety, you can understand the potential of the characters behind Megatron. The Shockwave in the Bayverse was great in terms of design, but was he a great character? Nope. Shockwave was at least given a few good lines done by Frank Welker, but were they of substance in the end? No, because he died. The best out of all the villains was Lock down, because he had a clear motive and gain. Also, Megatron became second fiddle to whatever bad guy headlined that film. You know why that is such a big issue? Megatronus was a gladiator of the cybertronian city of Kaon, in which case he would risk his life time and time again for the entertainment of other cybertronian. He was a slave to the cause, and as such, led a rebellion against the cybertronian government. Megatronus only became Megatron after relying on the life blood of Unicron, which gave him and his troops the means of pillaging Cybertron from it's ruling factions, leading to the Great War we know of through stories. Megatron would never be someone else's second, because it goes against his initial cause entirely. I could perhaps see it with Galvatron, because he was shaped into a different character by Unicron, but Megatron would not be someone's lesser. To paraphrase Prime's Megatron, “I've lost the taste for needless war, for I now understand what it's like to be forced under servitude.” Megatron would want that power, so why be Sentinel's bitch? Sure, he fought against him in the end, but he then wanted a truce with Optimus, which Optimus went against in the end. The Bayverse is flawed, enjoyed for some reason, right?
I didn't mind the first couple of movies, but then they all of sudden made the Autobots the bad guys and started hunting them, when they literally saved the World. Prime even proved that the Decepticons wanted to take over the planet.
Nothing says fantastic movie about it's title characters than an entire scene where we film an 18 year old running scared while two leaders fight in the shaky cam background Whoa wait! @Nick Gurr aka NEGUS same man, I started like pagani caused of this sound, then I searched the CZcams but realized it's only in this movie. With all said, still thinking the pagani is sick
The production value for this is all over the place. I've watched a view uploads of this scene here on YT, I thought it may be the video itself. Nope, the movie looks like that. It's like seeing the resolution and frame rate take a punch to the nose in a video game, can't not notice that. IDK if the VFX teams ran out of time but some moments look like they were still being worked on, they're good enough but not unnoticeable. Money or time, they ran out of one of them.
Say what you want about Bay’s movies, but the guy sure knows when to use practical effects, when to use cgi, when to use both, and it all look so good.
@@TopGunner1994 I'm replying to the "it all looks so good" bit. I get everyone has a different take, I just think the transformer movies look like roasted ass.

To paraphrase Prime's Megatron, “I've lost the taste for needless war, for I now understand what it's like to be forced under servitude.”
Megatron would want that power, so why be Sentinel's bitch? Sure, he fought against him in the end, but he then wanted a truce with Optimus, which Optimus went against in the end. The Bayverse is flawed, enjoyed for some reason, right?
Fun Fact: Bay is sitting in the truck Optimus and Bee crash through
3:50 yeah, Tessa's dead right there. And the movie should've end here.
Because of the power of plot armor she survive without a single scratch
2:48
Na, she's dead there, when Optimus puts her headfirst though the side of that 18 wheeler.
2:01 is some ultimate scene
I didn't mind the first couple of movies, but then they all of sudden made the Autobots the bad guys and started hunting them, when they literally saved the World. Prime even proved that the Decepticons wanted to take over the planet.
does anyone think glavatron is like nemesis prime in tf prime?

Nothing says fantastic movie about it's title characters than an entire scene where we film an 18 year old running scared while two leaders fight in the shaky cam background

You can see why they had to dial back Megatron in the next movie. He could've taken them all alone if he wanted to.
3:58 battle mask on Optimus
Stinger is like a electric version of pagani huayra
What it would sound like if it was electric
Surely the 5 autobots should just engage and take on the two
if the autobots are 5 or more, they have no chance against one, some examples are 10 ore more agains Shockwave, but the run away from one enemy
Say what you want about Bay’s movies, but the guy sure knows when to use practical effects, when to use cgi, when to use both, and it all look so good.
I can't believe anyone thinks this confusing mess looks good...
Bro the edit in this is terrible.
Are you guys talking about the editing in this scene? Yeah, it’s pretty bad. I’m talking about the effects though.
@@TopGunner1994 I'm replying to the "it all looks so good" bit. I get everyone has a different take, I just think the transformer movies look like roasted ass.
Galvatron doesn't even transform, he turns into a cheap 1990s-tier swirl of CGI cubes
Also none of the autobots should even sound like cars when they drive. Their motors shouldn't be normal, it's alien tech. It's not like Sam had to fill Bumblebee up with gas right?
They just mimick cars

bro only now as an adult can i actually see the cgi as slightly fake and i can see where the animators took slight short cuts (no hole after optimus is shot through the chest) but daaaaamn the cgi in these movies is TOP tier and has always been setting the standard
i remember watching this. The people weren't really in control.

Back in the day the Zorgs in the Power Rangers always reminded me of the Autobots. I wondered if they got the idea from Transformers.
3:47 that sounds like the hulk
And then we never see Galvatron again...the Hell
That is why I have no fear, is something that most villains in pop culture would say. Because they are the fear that everyone should be afraid of.
4:09 I think here where Joshua says "Make him fight dont let him go down make him fight" is signaling that Joshua knows his machines creations have rotten (turned evil) and he thinks since Optimus is the leader and the strongest he can kill them easily. Thats why he says to make him fight to ensure as much damage as possible. You can also see his doubtfulness on creating these nanonbot powered transformers when galvatron transforms and destroys 3 cars during it.
Does anybody have any idea what the room is called? I can't find anything about it.
