Well done with the fry mate ! - this is my first year of breeding fry, like you for fun. Mine hatched a week ago in a 100 gallon pond I am currently building a stage 2 grow out pond which is 500 gallons….so I’m looking forward to them getting to this size and will watch how you move forward and look to do the same myself.. good luck with them !
@@UkKoiFishmy koi fish spawn every time for last three years while breeding. But this time they didn't breed or the female didn't lay eggs . Can u say me what's the reason?
Hi since I have such a small batch I only cull deformed fish and these I put in my main pond where they get eaten (this is a common practice at koi farms)
@@UkKoiFish ok thanks. Im currently looking after 22 fry lol...! But they're all doing ok. They're in a segregated area of the pond in large storage containers that have hundreds of holes drilled in them. Exciting stuff.
@@paulkazjack that’s great to hear I hope they grow on well. Tbf with 22 fry you shouldn’t need to cull them unless they run out of space. That’s a gd set up though hope it all goes well

What method of culling are you going to use? Thanks
