Same here. First one that caught my eye once they were pulled out of the fry tank, and I honestly couldn't stop looking at it, it's a beautiful fish, though I'm not sure if it's the most desirable color-wise. I don't know much about koi beyond the basics, but like every fish enthusiast, I have my preferences is suppose XD
It was worth the wait on seeing some of the fry! Beautiful colors. They sure have grown a lot! The last one you put in the main pond the orange black & white one is my favorite. If I had to go to a shop & buy some I’d be all day trying to decide what ones to get.
Good on you Adam for not doing the cull, I hate that my self, they have grown so much, odd few little ones but they all look in good health, I love the Soragoi in the last bowl and the shiro muji with the Ginrin are the best, when they are so friendly and can always be seen in your pond
Totally agree with you Adam, I couldn't cull any either. The survival rate from Cuttlebrook I'm really impressed with too. Mine were jumbo and not heated with less than 10% death rate. This year its all change with heated grow on tank. Lovely update Adam, shared to our club page. Stay safe & well.
Someday I hope to have a place where I can have a pond again. I had one growing up, and I've never lost my love of them. We only had goldfish, but it was still beautiful and relaxing, and I miss it dearly. I only found out about koi a year or two before I moved out, so we never got to get any.
It’s been worth the wait to see the fry! Beautiful colors & they sure have grown! I like that orange black & white one you put last in the main pond, I’ve noticed it before with the other fry nice color. The white ones sure are friendly fish!
Always good content! I think I’m most impressed with the size of them with the amount of water they are in and the filter keeps up with demands. The rdf seems to be a fantastic filter and I’m excited to have a Draco on hand to be installed soon. The Profidrum seems to be awesome though. Nice going on everything.
You are lucky after culling still have a lot of good quality koi left, if I have source will do your way, it gives surprise and better to buy the medium size koi from farms. Wish you more success in future.
The ones that made it to the main pond are like when humans win the lottery, they've hit the jackpot for a life of luxury... Lucky little blighters... They've just moved out of the council pond to the mansion pond.... 😀🙂👍
I got my mother a koi pond in the garden put expensive koi in ... and her favorite by far is the koi from a grocery store I got to use as a canary before I put the big ones in. Value for a ton of people is personality not pattern.... they just don't all have CZcams channels
Thanks nice 🙂 and the best way to be in my opinion I like what fish I like I'm not bothered if it will win a show or what as long as I like it that's all the matters to me 🙂
A koi is a koi, same as you i could never kill a carp unless it was ill or half eaten.i lost 6 of mine due to cats.2 i had to kill as they were left half eaten on the lawn.but on a posative note 6 made it but left very spooked.got a happy home for 6 unwanted, netted now :o)
Do you sell any of these fish ? . There’s a few I love and would love to have a look at what you have . You’re amazing at what you do and your advice is spot on . Keep up the great work 👍👏
Great video and great growth! I read somewhere saying fish produces stress hormones into the water when they are crowded. To be able to keep them growing some people use potassium permanangate to destroy the hormones. I wonder if you do this? Thanks!
So as a longtime subscriber and fishkeeper who is also a big fan of aquaponics, I'm curious why you don't use any plants for nitrate removal, ph and bacteria balancing, etc. Even just a few plants thrown into what was your bacci shower setup with a light could have helped with nitrate removal and you get some nice looking cosmetic plants. I assume right now there's no need cause you're running constant water change setups, but could be a way to save money / effort.
Totally off subject but I’ve seen you salt your pond , I’ve been on cuttlebrook site as I have a parasite issue, I see they say a certain salt content can kill some parasites, a lot of koi owners completely bash the idea , I’ve just salted to 0.5 and raised temp slightly to bring the cycle on quickly as I don’t want to use chemicals, I’d love to know your preference to ich please
you do no culling doesn't have to mean killing, it means you select the best and get rid of the rest that means sell giving away but some do kill but like you i wouldn't
Ive had this tank years they aren't very common any more unfortunately. It's best to ask on facebook groups what people recommend as there are some good companies out there but i don't have any experience with any.
How many litres is the fry tank? I’m thinking of doing a grow on tank, will be about 2500 litres with a multibay filter, will be heated to 23 degrees. How many 4 inch should I look at getting initially? 25/50/100? Thank you
It's 1200litre my advice would be to start small and find out what your system can handle especially a new system you need to break it in before heavy stocking it.
I'm with you, such a struggle to intential cull healthy fish. The fry have grown really well
The black koi with the red face is beautiful!

Another great video, lots of info delivered with the right amount of humour. Oh and you have a proper accent too. Love the ochibas.

It’s been worth the wait to see the fry!
Beautiful colors & they sure have grown!
I like that orange black & white one you put last in the main pond, I’ve noticed it before with the other fry nice color.
The white ones sure are friendly fish!
Really liked your fry mate, great to see.
Great video, very interesting. Love your fish!! ☺
Those awesome very beautiful gorgeous fish Adam you're doing a good job raising them
Well done to you for not killing any, they will be some one’s pond filler in the future. 🇬🇧
“he’ll have someone he knows to swim around with” 🥺😭

Woow Adam… I love the grin ones… awesome fry bro….
Yey fry update :) Some of those koi look fantastic. Great video.

We have three small one year old Koi in a tank (4"-5") with some Comets. What length would you transfer them to a tank of 14-15" fish?
Adam use a Growell T5 unit 100w colours will pop. 👍 Also, I couldn't kill my 🌟 sign, fellow ♓ (Don't you sell) Privately?
Hi mate just wondering where do you get your blue tubs from
How many fish do you own😱😱😱
Are these fry from cuttlebrook their first “cull” but sold on instead. Great channel by the way
is there a chance any kois in the big pond can touch 90 to 100 cm?
wow really nice 30 cm in not even a year ! :D i saw some really nice once in your frytank! you put a nice soragoi and hariwake in the sale tank ? :D
How do you know a fish has had a stroke?
Hi Adam love your videos did you have to pre order your 1000 fry from cut cuttlebrook or can you call up and order whenever thanks
Great video adam , are you selling on any of the koi? I like the ochiba n saragoi 🤩
I don't cull either they all deserve a chance
How are your fish that big at 9 months?? Mine are tiny in comparison 😢
stunning fry where did you get them and how much??
Totally off subject but I’ve seen you salt your pond , I’ve been on cuttlebrook site as I have a parasite issue, I see they say a certain salt content can kill some parasites, a lot of koi owners completely bash the idea , I’ve just salted to 0.5 and raised temp slightly to bring the cycle on quickly as I don’t want to use chemicals, I’d love to know your preference to ich please
Hey Adam, great videos and great looking fish. Instead of culling could you not donate them to people who want fish but can’t afford the high prices?
Yeah that's what I do I never cull any
you do no culling doesn't have to mean killing, it means you select the best and get rid of the rest that means sell giving away but some do kill but like you i wouldn't
New to this channel so I have no idea do you sell koi or just keep?
Another great vid.
I have 1000 fry arriving next week just out of curiosity how many lt is the fry tank.
Thanks 🙂
There are about 1500 in that tank at a guess
Do you ever sell any you dont want ?
What will you do with the fries? Also, any idea of someone who ships internationally?
They will all find a good home 🙂 and no i don't know anyone that posts internationally sorry.
hi adam, where did you manage to get your tank from?
Ive had this tank years they aren't very common any more unfortunately.
It's best to ask on facebook groups what people recommend as there are some good companies out there but i don't have any experience with any.
What do you do with a the koi do you sell them? Do you keep a lot of them? Just curious because you have a ton of fish
A mix of all of those I keep some and sell some but I do have a lot of fish 🙂
How many litres is the fry tank? I’m thinking of doing a grow on tank, will be about 2500 litres with a multibay filter, will be heated to 23 degrees. How many 4 inch should I look at getting initially? 25/50/100? Thank you

Do u sale it bro
Do you sell the ones you don't want ?
Yes
will you be move any on just I'm wanting some to grow on and I'm not to far away from you
40? Fish
paul nicholls 28
Noice
rather than kill the ones you don't want surely you could give them away by advertising them in local ads
I don't kill and koi they will all find good homes 🙂
