This video is just proof that we need some kind of indicator for a shiny Pokémon appearing
and the fact legends arceus added one but SV just... doesn't have it??
And with such a big open world there’s a really big chance you miss a shiny without even realizing it especially with wall a shiny in the wall
i think it should be a sound, but a visual would probably be better tho bc you dont always have sound on
@@shuriflwrsVisual would also help with things like Persian and Phanpy where the shiny is very difficult to distinguish unless it's right next to a regular one

It still baffles me that they took the shiny indicator sound off in the games where not only can Pokémon spawn out of bounds but they also introduced a lot of those “barely different” shinies.
It baffles me how they pick the colours and still make barely changing shinies on purpose.

Subtle shinies can be fun and look great, but there's subtle and there's "I can't tell if this is shiny or not" (looking at the Charcadet and Maushold lines)
and then there's the Tinkaton line. A disappointing shiny tbh, why does only the hammer change?
@fieratheproud Shiny Tinkaton isn't really a Shiny form. It just attacked a Shiny Corviknight. The actual Pokémon doesn't even change.
@THGMR-ox7sd Agreed. They have so much new potential that is being wasted. Shiny Pokémon are meant to feel worth hunting.

The worst part about shiny Gengar is that the only reason it's bad is because normal gengar got extremely desaturated

The Pokemon that got desaturated when they became 3D hurts me the most. Like my boy Gengar or Blastoise. What have they done to suck the color out of them!
The worst part of shiny gengar to me is how cool they made shiny mega gengar only to scrap that game mechanic the very next game

Absolutely. I managed to find one a couple days ago, and I had no idea it was shiny until my Pokémon refused to attack it.
Riolu has still escaped me at this point. I have the shiny charm, COME ON RIOLU ITS NOT THAT HARD

I actually found a fan comic where a gangar shiny was a phantom white color with yellow/blue eyes, I think that’s an improvement.

That, and the fact that you could only hunt it in a raid event, which is full odds no matter what.
Shinies can be the most rarest things yet the most common when you least expect it, no sandwich, no hunting strategy, full odds I found a Shiny Bellibolt in area zero today!

A lot of shiny gengar fixes suggest making it an eerie white, but I think pallid grey would be a nice look? The desaturated corpse grey with a blue tongue seems to be kind of the idea behind shiny haunter, so giving The Geng that treatment could work.
I feel like making it Red with Purple eyes, inverting the colors, would be super cool tbh
Just continue to de-saturate gengar every game slightly so people don't notice until it's completely grey

You'll never see me actively shiny hunt for Flabebe. Can't even see them normally let alone see if they're shiny
The current outbreak event of Flabebe actually have a better shiny rate than shiny charm + sparkling power + 60 kos, it's easy to hunt Flabebe with this event

Dude. Never try the tynamo outbreak. Worst mistake of my life.
I like the idea of shiny tynamo but it needs to be more saturated.
Salazzle and Petill were the hardest ones for me this far, 13 phases for Salazzle and an extremely slow hunt for Petill.
I got a Shiny Salazzle in a wonder trade back in Sun. Someone had obviously rage traded it because it was Adamant. Then they introduced mints in the very next game and I got myself a great new toy!
Omg, even with 2 outbreak hunts, shiny petlil evades me too
The petilil spawn rate is abysmal, I had a hard time finding them simply to get TMs 😭😭😭
Lol I'm colorblind, I literally have to just spam eggs for a lot of shinies I want 😂 outbreaks I have to just save then nuke everything until either the outbreak dispersed (reset and repeat) or I find a shiny. Shroomish was my personal worst purely because I can't really tell the difference between the shiny and normal while they're on grass 💀
As a colourblind brother, I feel that. Although my favorite shiny hunt method is masuda bc I like breeding good ivs as well and I get money from Home for storing all the tries there

I do like Gengar’s gimmick that it’s shiny is white with every new form (Mega, Gigantimax) but I wish it would be more frequent, like in attacks, terraforms, and Z Moves
The Paldean Tauros exclusive breeds are also pretty tedious to find

I found my shiny Paldean Tauros by accident by defending myself from a group of them.
i wish they made shiny gengar like shiny mega gengar with the white body, it looks dope but when it reverts to normal its just disapointing:(
If I ever have to hunt shiny Hawlucha it'll be too soon, that hunt almost broke my sanity, you have to work with a small strip of land, one part against grassy places that spawn Croagunk and the ocean with Veluza jumping out at you on the other side! Not to mention that Hawlucha are hyper aggressive and can spawn in two separate walls! This one was a pain to hunt... So I named her Payne.
Quilfish was like tht for me. Took forever and was very frustrating to hunt, so I named it Bish
I hated the charcadet hunt so much, I really wanted armarouge for my badge quest and in the end I got my red MegaMan with blue eyes.
For me, one of the worst hunt I've had was a Cyclizar outbreak. The entire outbreak was just me going "WHY ARE YOU RUNNING?" over and over again. Also Salandit outbreak in a cave that makes them ALL look shiny due to graphical glitches and in the end I could only catch male ones.
You could still get some rare spawns and oubreaks or Salazzle if you want to shiny hunt it directly
I got extra lucky then. Borrowed my coworkers Scarlet/switch so we could have each other's exclusive and paradox. I went to catch him a bagon and encountered shiny salazzle. Not even 4 mins later..went back to get him a Shelgon, and I encountered shiny salandit 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️

i spent a total 37 hours shiny hunting it in PLA with no luck. in the end i just gave up and loaded up violet again. and what do i see upon loading the game? a freaking full odds shiny buizel!
The Pokémon getting stuck in walls has got to be patched for the sake of fair shiny hunts.

They only spawn in a hidden cave with a weird pattern on the floor.

Props for Tynamo on this list. It's so hard to see normally let alone if it's shiny. Although it's absolutely worth it, Eelektross has an awesome shiny
Gengar's shiny is SO easy to fix, the game literally already generated a much better one with Mega Gengar. keep the white with pink undertones, and the red/blue eyes (i honestly cannot remember what color they are, but both are much better)

Dusk form lycanroc, that sliver of time you have to guess for when it spawns, only for like 6 minutes, and you need a sandwich for it. It was the biggest pain.

Mimikyu was a nightmare to hunt. It always spawns in places with lots of trees, so when they sit under the trees, the shading threw me off.
Frigibax belongs on this list too!!! Trying to spot pink claws instead of Red in the middle of a snowstorm can be a complete nightmare!
Roaring moon took me a whopping 27 sandwiches and 2 months of hunting it off and on before I got one.
So true story. It took me only ten eggs for shiny Sprigatito… and one for Quaxly… and the Quaxly wasn’t Masudaed.
I thought the starters were s.locked, can you actually get a shiny version from eggs?

Any Pokémon whose shiny form looks almost exactly like it’s normal colors should be on this list.

I actually PHASED on a Sunkern.
It was in the literal weirdest spot you can imagine. There’s literally one Flower Patch in Victory Road that can spawn “Flower” Pokémon, and it only has room for one spawn batch.
I found my Shiny Sunkern there.
Hot take: I LOVE how there isnt any big flashes or indicators for shinys in SV, it makes actually FINDING a shiny much more fun and earned, instead of a nuke going off whenever one spawns

I was looking for shiny magnemite in an outbreak. It’s hardly gold anymore because it’s so reflective. I struggled to see it so much. Especially in the snowy mountains

I had a hard time with iron valiant because not only can it be a wall shiny. But it dashes the moment it spawns, so I actually watched 2 despawn before I caught mine.

I got extremely lucky with roaring moon. I ate one sandwich and found one without the shiny charm in 4 minutes flat. I was so, so happy.
They really needed to bring back the noise and visual that was in Legends Arceus, especially given how tiny or indistinguishable some of them are

I like the Masuda method because it allows me to turn my brain off and vibe to music without looking for a shiny

Roaring moon actually only took me about thirty minutes. Plus I got two zweilous shinies at the same time. Hunting for herbs tho, that sucks
Gengar with a "blood moon red" skin color would make it super sick!
Masuda method was my go-to way to shiny hunt before SV. Making you set up picnics for eggs just ruins the flow and now that we can just run around with sandwiches, it doesn’t even have the edge odds-wise.
It’s only worth it now if it’s your only option.

Gastly has a nice blue colour, so it would’ve been nice to see that deep faded blue across the rest of them instead of making it ever so slightly tinted.

I don't really do much with Masuda breeding, but you definitely nail two of my top 4 most obnoxious shiny hunts in gen 9: Tynamo and Tandemaus, alongside Iron Valiant (Violet's equivalent to Roaring Moon;; here's a tip, if you save and exit while standing in the middle of the big glyph in that cave, when you load back in every pokemon that spawns on that glyph will have no pathing ai and just stand there), and Vespiqueen (I had half a box full of shiny MALE Combee before I got that one, just from sheer bad luck on my part)
Not scarlet and violet, but zygarde in the max raid adventures took me 3 weeks
I love wall shinies because the Feebas I caught in the wall had the jumbo mark so she feels like the most special pokemon ever
Eevee was the first shiny I ever got because I was unintentionally doing the Mesuda method when I was just breeding them to have enough to evolve into all the eeveelutions

Roaring Moon for me was relatively easy, my 1st reset I found one and actually managed to get a 2nd before the sandwich ran out

Iron Thorns, this one costed me 2 Shiny Sandwiches.
It would need bew unique animations, but Gengar's tongue should be a violent light blue when shiny. Its bigass tongue is one of its most defining features.
I’d turn it white and yellow like the mega evaluation that gives off a holy priest vibe with the colour scheme so yellow eyes instead of red and white fur
The so rare ones that is very hard to even find 2 of that shiny takes a lot of playing.
For the gengar line i would have returned a faint glow or fog that changes colour for shiny like the outline from its pixelsprites
For me, it took FOREVER to find Sandy Shocks as a shiny... hell, they are scarce enough as regular, and shiny takes the planets being in perfect alignment
Tadbulb would've been a hard one for me if the first one I saw in an outbreak wasn't shiny lol
I honestly don’t see the issue with shiny gengar, it doesn’t change much but I like the grey!
Spiritomb and Sunkern are an absolute pain to get! I've personally experienced the worst hunt for a Klawf, 15 sandwiches and not a single one...instead I found 21 Nacli.
