Never heard of chivelry until a few weeks ago, started playing chivalry 2 and WOW what a glorious masterpiece this is! First time experiencing a game from Torn Banner Studios and they have permenantly made a big impression with a titan of a game like this, I will deffenitley keep my eyes on future updates and games. A huge fan gained here, not that 1 fan means a lot but I F*cking love this game, it helped me finally drop COD games wich lack creativity and inovation

I got another combo: if u are behind an enemy and know that u won’t kill him with one hit strike and kick. 99% he will turn around holding their block just to get immediately kicked. Works pretty well

Last video was biblical for newbies like myself three days in think about 6hrs, I’m not bad but not good either watched the tenets vid and now I’m able to genuinely fight 4/5 enemies and kill or scare off three and sometimes kill the last two assuming I don’t get swarmed like a sand which in an ant hill great work dude

Secret Technique #11: Berserk and run around doing nothing but hitting people in the back, running away, and doing it again. Watch out for arrows.
I subbed for the intro alone, there are so many cocky chiv2 CZcamsrs it's a pain to listen to them. This had me immersed almost wich helped me to better digest the information, thanks for that.
a combo I noticed a person doing to me in duels is a slash to overhead or stab to bait out a defensive feint, (you want to be positioned well beforehand) then dodge/avoid the attack and stab the person in their recovery.
you force the opponent to use an attack that is harder to move to aim, and since you know what attack is coming, you can avoid it a bit more easily.
That's really clever! A great application of conditioning and micro footwork all in one.
The music in the intro is just on point!

Special to jab tends to catch most 2h weapons off guard, mixing it up with jab to kick and you got yourself a nasty 1/2 mix up.
@Montessoir great video. Quick question, how do you do the cinematic pans in this game? Is there a way to do that in game, or a mod perhaps?
Just the spectator camera and the “togglehud” command in the command console. Press ~ then type “togglehud”. Currently broken but should be fixed in a future patch!

you should definitely make some new videos. I enjoyed this one, the music is a nice touch and you have great advice. I would watch your gameplay as well
When you are talking about swing manipulation, drags and geavies are good for sure, but what ive seen recently that seems to have a high success rate is OH feint to alt OH heavy and drag it, 9 times out of ten the person will try to counter the OH, then if they are good they will try to counter feint the feint, but you can't counter with a heavy attack, so you are kinda screwed at this point as you are now locked into the animation as you've feinted, but the counter window isn't long enough for you to get the counter off by the time their weapon is within the counter hitbox, and you'll get hit unless you can abuse some wild footwork or the opponent misses their swing, you are gonna get hit. I'm trying to work on countering the overhead, recognise the feint to alt OH heavy, and then feint into a jab. I think thats the only way to realistically deal with this unless you are out of range for the jab, in some cases it might be possible to just simply accelerate your initial counter and hit them first, but if they have a faster weapon than you or your reaction is too slow it may not be a possibility.

The tips help but does any1 good at game use 1 handers? I always go against 2 handers doing 360 swings and I can't counter even if I block, counter, or dodge because I'm always out of range and if I get close they swing faster than my 1 handwr and I eat a axe to my skull

Can ps4 players not feint a counter slash into a right slash or is he doing a different attack?
Even in a 40 person server, you get mobbed too often by like 5 enemies at once for first person to be useful. You can't see the enemies on your sides so you get whacked without knowing what happened half the time.
3rd person view is so good at countering this

If you take the code for chiv 2, and put it into Skyrim then maybe if the ai can hack it

Do you usually 1st or 3rd person?
I prefer first, but third is objectively better. If you decide to play first you will be at a disadvantage, but with hard work and dedication, can still beat and compete with 3p users!
