Omg! At 1:57 you walk past my apartment, the one with all the windows open, across the street. I remember blasting music that day because it was such a beautiful day. I didn’t even realize until now just how loud I was playing the music lol. I remember this day very vividly! Song is Hesitate by Emerson Leif. I just moved from there and I miss it already. I also miss summer, especially now that it’s getting dark and gloomy and cold.
Thank you. I’m at home and fairly confined due to health, this walk made me so happy today. ❤️
What a beautiful city
A beautiful City! Thank you from New Zealand
Thank you for the walking tour. I very much enjoyed it from Ohio.
Thank. you for the walking tour of Reykjavik. I envy the quiet community and being able to run about on scooters. We need that in the US. I appreciate the time you took to show us the lovely city because I get to see a bit of Iceland and at my age now I would never get the chance to visit Iceland.
Thank you for this! It’s been ages and I’ve been missing Reykjavik. Much appreciated! 🙏
I so enjoyed that walk, my late husband and I did the same walk, in reverse, in 2013 when we stayed at the Leifur Erikson Hotel. Yes, we did have a photograph taken with the Polar Bears outside the shop! So many lovely memories of Iceland. Highly recommend the Golden Circle tour too. Thank you.
Thank you for the walking tour your place is quite peaceful. Hafa Adai! from Guam
Thank you so much for the walk about. Nicely done. We enjoyed this very much and appreciate your patience.
North Dakota.

Thank you for the walking tour. Nice to see how another country live and go about their daily lives. Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺.
This is beautiful...thank you for the tour. I used to live in Germany long time ago and visited most of the countries there, including 3 of the Scandinavian, unfortunately, we haven't found the time to visit Iceland until we got back to Asia
Thanks for the walkabout which was very enjoyable and not tiring!! Beautiful city.
Thanks, glad you found your way back. I hated seeing all the scooters going down Laugarveg, they must be quite a menace.
very calming walk - thank you for sharing!
Amooooo todos os vídeos que vejo da Islândia , terra dos meus bisavós ., Fomos em 2019 conhecer a terra do gelo como dizia meu avô , magnífica ., Lindíssima ❤️
Great video !!! Thanks for the video! 👍
OMG Reykjavik is so incredibly beautiful! All the art on the streets and the murals on buildings and the colorful way some places are painted! I honestly want to live here and learn the Icelandic language! It looks absolutely amazing, but it is probably expensive to live there, right?
Wonderful views of your lovely city. I have family who visited about 3 years ago. Seems very popular as a place to visit for a different experience. I live in HULL England and we have a statue on the sea front of a man looking out to sea. I believe you also have the same statue in Reykjavik as well?
If old traford theater of dream then Iceland is country of dream
Thank you.
Very much enjoyed ⚘
Happy holidays from tx
Very nice video 👍
Most videos I’ve seen of Reykjavik in summertime are full of crowds everywhere, but here it’s almost no one! Is this normal on the early summer or it’s because of COVID?
Great video!!
Very good quality video of the city walk from Reykjavik !! I like this video !! What kind of camera do you have ??
Thanks! It's a DJI Pocket 2.
Many thanks for your answer !!
Very nice! I’m wondering what time of day this was videoed.
It was around 18:00.
@@TravellerInTheWholeWorld May or June?
23 June 2021
I am from India🇮🇳
What's it like in the winter?
Around 0°C for 4 months, more windy and dark. Not too much snow though
Who is the statue at the first of the film?
In front of Hallgrímskirkja church is one of the best-known landmarks in Reykjavik, the statue of Leifur Eiríksson.
@@williamlloyd3769 Thanks.
what to say, it's 23rd of June, but it looks like a sunny day of March in Europe from the way people are dressed ... don't even want to imagine how is like to live there in winter, with just 3 hours of daylight ...
It’s gloomy and sad and depressing. Summers are amazing and it feels like being in paradise… We get two polar opposites of the spectrum. He walks past my apartment in this video and I remember this day vividly. I was blasting music because it was so sunny and the weather was gorgeous and I felt happy which was a welcome feeling since I hadn’t been feeling very happy.
The winters are not too cold but they are very long.

There is less population.what cause?
active volcano would make me nervous enough to leave.
Government stats - “The population of Iceland on January 1, 2021 was 368,792. The country's population increased by 4,658 from 1 January 2020 or by 1.3%. A total of 189,043 men and 179,749 women”. Population is highly educated and women choose to have children. It has had a stable, slowly growing population for years.
@@missymoonwillow6545 It’s just bc of covid lol, not the volcano. It’s just a mini eruption that’s happening an hour away from the capital.
Population in November 2021 is at about 375,500

Lots of electric scooters.
We all gonna act like we didn’t see that voluptuous woman at 6:17?
Uh yeah? Kinda creepy that you’d point her out lol, and commenting on her body too. Weird, man.
@@brosef5033 It’s creepy to find a woman attractive? I swear you feminists want to die alone. You can’t even say a woman is good looking without being labeled the next Harvey Weinstein.
Where is everyone

You're not going to see the entire population standing on the same street corner together on any given day soon. Ppl would say the same thing about Australia, until recently in Melbourne nobody really lived in the CBD and the crowds were just shoppers and commuters 9-5 with some nightlife stragglers. Its getting more crowded now.
*Almost forgot: "What a beautiful city you have!"
What do you mean? That was everyone. Literally, the whole population of Iceland got together to be a part of this video ❤️
Funny: how many Icelandic can fit on a German cruise ship to tx. Nyc

Tourism dies with a changing world. Why promote travel during a pandemic? Makes no sense! Seems to me that people with lots of money are being encouraged to travel and ignore the suffering in their own communities, and your encouraging more of this same way of thought. Thanks to this video, I never need to travel here now. THANK YOU. I can ask wikipedia questions about the arrogant symbolic buildings and sites man has egotistically built as PILLARS of society. I can study into the architecture stories and learn all by myself here in the comfort of my safe place, that more white men came and conquered lands, stamped their marks on it all, and set people up to live... until a volcano breaks through the surface and threatens all life... so great. Yay Iceland. The arrogance of high society is their downfall. I see rubble on the horizon. For all mankind in cement boxes and who travel on asphalt roads.
Lmaooo what are you on about 😂 Please explain yourself cause you sound ridiculous.
almost people not wearing a mask
Seems like so boring
It can be. Mostly just quiet and peaceful though. The nightlife is far from boring and all the fun stuff happens when you travel around the country.
