I used to ditch high school to hang out at Front Porch Music in Bakersfield California and spend my lunch money on guitar lessons. One day, C.C. came in with one of his bandmates who went in the back to talk to one of the guitar teachers, J.R. Goldman. C.C. was just hanging out with nothing to do and noticed my best friend and I practicing a Van Halen song and ended up teaching us how to play the intro to Top Jimmy. He said he was in a signed band from L.A. called Poison, that they just finished recording their first album and said we should check it out when it released. He was so kind, patient, humble, and cool. Obviously, the experience stuck with me to this day. C.C. is a class act.
I can’t get over his salute to the crowd especially with what’s happening with his solo. It was like he was playing another song.
I love CC DeVille he's the reason I picked up a guitar
These aren’t tour real names are they?… this is probably something you should keep to yourself.
one of few, for me too ....no one plays like him, special crazy head and that talking melodic guitar ....because of 4-5 solos he played on flesh and blood album i can say he's my top 10 guitarists of all time and i'm listening music from 90s
I love CC solos on the albums and later when he got sober live. It's really melodic and has some cool shred licks
This teacher's analysis demonstrates the highest level of restraint in the face of the guitar world's greatest example of lack of restraint. Full credit for maintaining clinical objectivity for 8.5 minutes while describing something which has triggered people for decades. Awesome.
David your first sentence made me laugh out loud. That was perfect.
Best comment.
Agreed. This video is arguably dripping with more restraint than it is sarcasm. Hopefully the guy won't require therapy after making this video.
I'm a middle child. It's where I got my patience. ;)
That first sentence was brilliant! LOL
No one ever went to see Poison for technical musicianship. Poison in their prime were the ultimate party band. I saw them several times and usually in an outdoor Pavillion in Houston in the summer where still it's 95 degrees at 10:00pm. They had good harmonies and just had fun. My wife and I actullay got pulled up on-stage from the front row at the Woodlands and Brett ran around with a video camera. I gave CC a high five. After that, we were ushered backstage and I saw Cinderella, Dokken, and others. It was the Glam Slam Summer Jam and I'll never forget it. Poison was good time music that never took themselves too seriously. They were lucky to be where they were and knew it.
Gross lol
@@dethyprlps9020 huh? Wth are ya talkin bout
Good time music. Boy do I miss that. 80's was best decade ever.
Wow you & your wife were lucky to have met those awesome 80’s bands 🤘🎸
I may not be technical but I did it with style. This is NOT my best moment for sure.
C.C. is a unique animal who cannot be imitated. He deserves much more credit.
Without question!!!!
CC, thank you for "Life goes on", one of my favorite solos of all time.
Life Goes On is a different kind of thing all together. my favorite song of theirs. Just ahead of Life Loves a Tragedy. they could do amazing things in the studio, as a down payment on partying on your.
@@yesnickcarter those are my favorite 2 songs too
La mia es Ball and Chain. Saludos desde Argentina 💪❤🎸🎤🎼🤘🤘🤘🇦🇷😀
My favorite all time solo by anybody
My & my hubby 's favorite song!
For anyone thinking CC wasn't a good guitar player or whatever....to let you know CC went to Juliard and is classically trained. Not just anyone can get into Juliard. Poison was a fun party band and CC was just playing what the song called for....he didn't have to pull out a Steve Vai riff to prove his musicianship, he did what he did and he did it well. Love CC!
Maravillosa informacion🎸🪡🍻👍🎶👍😎🙏🎸
I thoroughly enjoyed watching a breakdown of a high AF cc DeVille Solo! 😂 Absolutely great!
I saw Poison in summer of 1989 at the Long Beach Arena. Me and my two friends went to L.A. for a 10 day vacation. We were from Ny. So we took off from JFK airport and landed at LAX at about 4:00pm on a Saturday. We rented a car and started to drive around. We intended to go to the Sunset Strip in Hollywood. But on our way we saw a billboard advertising for the Poison concert that night. Well, we headed straight for the Long Beach Arena. We ended up scalping some descent seats too! The concert was awesome too! I was impressed because they sounded really good. And they looked cool too! That was Poisons "Prime". They were on fire back then. And that's coming from a guy who was more into Priest, Maiden and Metallica back then. I still love all these bands even today.
Rock on everybody. Rock on!
Life goes on has one of the most beautiful guitar solo of all time
Totally agree. Not a flashy solo, but so emotional, not a wasted note.
It is absolutely beautiful
"Chemically fueled guitar spasm." 😂 😆 Is that the same show C.C. pissed everyone off and started playing songs that weren't even on the setlist?
I think that was the VMAs when he dyed his hair pink and messed up talk dirty to me.
I think you’re thinking of the MTV Music Awards. They started with Unskinny Bop but CC got bored quickly and busted into Talk Dirty to Me.
No that came later
No, he was playing a white Les Paul in that one. That one is great for watching Arsenio and Brett trying to cover for him.
That was a different broadcast, I think they were supposed to play Unskinny and CC launched into Talk Dirty instead. An MTV awards with Arsenio hosting, remember CC had pink hair.
Learning to play exactly like CC is like learning to sing exactly like Yoko. Difficult maybe but why??
If you want to take lessons with me through my video library visit: www.the-Art-of-Guitar.com
For me; that solo shows that he was bored playing the same thing & actually was really good for the shape he was in!!!
Would’ve loved to to see you play through that in its entirety in a single take.
Man, I appreciate these videos!!! Childhood nostalgia on steroids. And I've fell back in love with playing again thanks to guys like you, Ben Eller, Paul David's, and other channels. You know, the good part about CZcams and the internet. Lol keep it up man!
Congrats on 700K subs, The 80's spawned some of the absolute best guitar players that are fortunately still around today, Cool vid, Thanks!
CC Deville is one of the greatest guitar player but sadly, UNDERARTED - Life goes on!
Amen
Are you crazy!?
he is a hack, sloppy out of tune, he is comedic atleast, Vernon Reid-ish
Life goes on is a perfect example.
I think he used the Floyd better than Vai.
C.C DeVille has a Coke Stroke live on stage.
....so that's what CC. Stands for!
(C) o (C) aine 🌨️
🎯
He clearly said it's called "auto pilot" 😂
@@Squirrelconga it actually is Co Caine Deville
Most of them did, ask Ted Nugent or watch his CZcams channel American Campfire. He''s been in bands since the late 50s and he has seen them come and go, he's has thousands of stories of others self destruction or their crazy ways....there are some really sad stories, selling your soul is not pretty. It's nice to know that some still made it though and can bring back the good memories on stage and tell their stories of struggle and educate others with their experiences.May be Peace be loud and proud also...
Just a fyi from a metal head teen of the’80’s… the acid of the day was rumored to be laced with strychnine
Getting a floyd for the first time be like: 0:11
Hahahaha
🤘🤣🤘
I know he's a crazy guy on stage. Especially back when he did a substance. But wow when he records a studio solo like "life goes on" it's some of the best.
CC was a fucking awesome rock guitar player and let’s not forget he Tracked many albums within perfect timing, precision, great rock n roll rhythm and we all know playing things perfectly in the studio back in the 80’s before Pro Tools was not easy to do. Nothing but a Good Time has a killer rock n roll tone. perfect rhythm part by CC and the solo at the end is perfect. He did drugs, big deal, every other rock n roll band in the 80’s and 90’s did the same exact thing so don’t give CC a bad name because he deserves respect ✊🏼
Exacto🎸😎👍🎶🍻🪡🙏😎👍
I love those solos. Nothin' But A Good Time took 8 hours just to do the solo though, he never could play that live. I don't care about that either, take as long as you want, it sounds great! 🙂
I saw Poison and met the band at a local club I played in in the mid 80s. Had no clue who they were and most the audience didn't know them either at that time. This was right at the peak of Hair Metal/Glam Metal bands exploding on scene. they had just released 1st album and were touring select clubs around the US. They were super down to earth and nice dudes, Bret especially. Bret never let the success they got go to his head. Anyway, when they hit the stage, they were super tight , loud and it was one big party.... the place went nuts. CC actually sounded really good then and wasn't drunk out of his gourd. I knew then they would be huge. I was pleased to see all the success they achieved but man the rock and roll world can spit you up if you let it. I was part of it and it almost got me. CC wrote some killer licks in the studio, no doubt about it and it's cool they are all back together again and still rocking.
Great story, thanks. Yeah it's great they they are all even alive, Bret had multiple accidents that could have killed him and CC was pretty bad for awhile. Now they are sober and playing, amazing.
I've seen Poison twice and met them once. CC is a crazy good guitar player who has been criminally underrated in his career. He's also the friendliest one in the band.
This is probably one of my favorite videos you've put out 😂😂 fantastic breakdown 👏
Great video! Love CC!!!
I think he underrated... great feeling, so happy he's still alive and healthy... I was always worry about losing him back those days.
Always loved this solo from CC because it's just nuts. Really cool to see it broken down. My only disappointment was you not playing it ALL the way through with a backing track.... 😭😭😭
That’s what I was waiting for. If anyone could do it, it would be Mike.
To me, CC is the guitar equivalent of Keith Moon. They’re amazing and their playing is predictable yet unpredictable, and psychotically beautiful
i was always struck by the tone of the recorded solo on Fallen Angel, it is simple and smooth
Cc Deville is an amazing guitarist…when he’s not drunk or on drugs. He was a classically trained musician Love poison. They are still rocking.
CC is an entertainer....I've seen Bret Michaels when he tours solo & when he tours with poison... CC is a full out showman which is definitely part of putting on a live show 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
CC is trash! Wasting everyone's time and eardrums. 😆
Good Morning from Germany! 😁🇩🇪 I love how you manage to make this solo Sound great
Good lord. CC is a beast. Nothing but respect here. Way to many bedroom critics. When you accomplish the career he has, let me know.
CC plays rock guitar. Thank you!
Lol
This must be C.C.'s channel. Lol
Great Job man, CC is the Best! So underestimate. I allways go back to him.
At the 7:57 mark...... "Obviously, CC went overboard"..... Said no one, coming of age in the 80's, EVER... Great breakdown of excess, regardless! Thanks for your hard work!!!
Watched this performance on TV at the time. Remembered the solo was nothing like the album (didn’t have the album but watched the music video). It was crazy & all over the place but you know what? The audience loved it!
I’ve watched later performances of Poison I’m taking a decade or more later after CC got healthier. His solos on the Flying V guitar were fast, accurate, and occasionally melodic. And the crowd still loved it!
Fast, accurate, and occasionally melodic! 😄 Yeah the girls love Poison. I don't get girls, I mean I love the music and the guitar solos, but they certainly aren't pretty.
Just seeing this now, missed it somehow. Love this video mike, great job!
It is a little unfair to CCD to judge him on this ‘chemically’ induced moment. His solo on ‘Life goes on’ is every trick in the book in 30 seconds and sublime. I would have really preferred that. This was just an example of the drugs overcoming the man.
When you have to play the "tricks" you are not that good.
I like CC, but I've never found him to be a top tier player from that era... However, the solo in Life Goes On is still in my top 10 solos of all time.
agreed, cuz this solo sucked
Cocaines a hell of a drug...
Yeah. As soon as I saw the thumbnail I said, "Uhhh he's not possessed, he's just wired out of his skull."
notating that solo and teaching it a god tier level of musicianship and patience that I cannot fathom.
He definitely gets respect for this!!
This was hilarious I saw Poison got kicked out of the show because I was just having too much fun and got too crazy. I do remember it was a really fun show! You should do Alex Skolnick next the complete opposite of CC LOL!
Skolnick indeed has some great solos like Return To Serenity and Electric Crown
Love your vids dude!
CC is my favorite 80s guitar player because of stuff like this.
As one of my friends puts it...."CC DeVille is the best bad guitarist ever"
Is your friend stand-up comic Brian Posehn? Because that’s his quote.
One of them for sure.
You hit right on the money and only very few of us know that..p.s you mean baddest
he wrote million dollar hits though in a sea of Hair metal that most didn't make it in. You got to give him that though. He was pretty damn good in the studio.
CC is great. Definitely full of tricks and show but a solid player. I’ll always be amazed at how they and by they Im referring to musicians we are clearly out of there mind and can still play phenomenally.
I won't play after even a few 🍺🍻 beers
Muscle memory. That's all I can think of. I was at a benefit years ago where my band wasn't playing. One of the groups that was, I had been a member of. They hauled me on stage. I was....um....absolutely SHELLACKED by that time. I wouldn't have believed it had it not been taped, but I watched me do a very passable lead while - literally - falling into the bassist and ending up on my knees. OK, how drunk was I that night? Before watching the video, I argued that I had never even been on stage that night.
Muscle memory.
Definitely full of cocaine as well.
Its a phenomenon, and not just playing but keeping up the stamina day to day, traveling, press, PR, shows etc. etc. I have trouble just getting to work the next day after a night of partying nevermind the all that business
SHARP .. FLAT .. SHAR SHARP .. FLAAAAT !!!
Loved this. Thank you. Happy 60th, C.C.
I remember watching poison in tulsa in the 3rd grade. CC+Deville was aggressive! He was also in the demo versions of some of Warrants songs. Btw they're on CZcams.
🤘😝🤘
He actually looks a little crazy during that solo haha 😆😂🤘🏻🔥
Good - rock 'n' roll is supposed to be a little crazy.
Hahahaha Mike should also be mimicking the face impressions, as well, to complete the solo :D should match %100. :D hahahha
Sounds horrible aswell
lol CC IS nuts.
Cocaine is a hell of a drug
I remember watching this back in 1991 and thinking this was the worst solo I’d ever heard. It was kinda shocking at the time. I also remember being disgusted by the wild applause it received from the audience. This performance kinda put the final nail in the coffin of the 80s hair metal scene.
Total rubbish! CC wasnt really respected among the guitar community to begin with but that night I turned the channel and said “Wow that was pathetic”. Why even bother trying to play that mess?
Cover song guitar players will never understand originality. No matter what your opinion, that’s his art, his solo, his song… Cover song guitar players will be just an imitation no matter how much better they play it.
I always interpreted the applause to be emblematic of just how “cool” the guitar was viewed and appreciated at the time. For even such a sloppy random solo to get the ladies to applaud, kind of shows how popular guitar solos were, if you think about it. Nowadays, you could play Al Di Meola flawless and no woman is gonna even give a shit.
ok
Yeah, this was the apex of his addiction, and shortly after was fired. They reunited, and released a live dvd, in the late 2010's, (i think). CC was sober, and man did he shred! I also remember his horrible performances, and had low expectations. But he was tight, accurate, and I was uber impressed. A very good sounding, well engineered performance. Check it out. Sorry I don't have specifics on the live set.
You so nailed the CC DeVille totally off the map guitar screaming demon bushwacking whip cracking madness great job man thanks for the video
Your analysis is over the top. Very nice!
This teacher is awesome for learning a line solo that was made up on the fly by C.C. To top it all off C.C was high on something when he played this version on TV that day!!!
I mean live solo!!! 😂🤣😅😆😁😄😃😀
7:33 yup, totally agree. CC plays for the fun of it, not because he wanted to be a guitar hero; but behind all the craziness there's some serious guitar work happening.
At the end of the day is Rock n roll, it is supposed to be entertaining, and it is! 30 years later we're still talking about it.
Man that was an absolute gem of improv soloing! I swear dude this was such an entertaining & funny video! Bro, you had me almost losing consciousness laughing so hard throughout the video by your verbal & facial comedic expressions! You're so funny by not trying to be funny. You should put out a few more of these style videos for just the joy of entertainment because your teaching vids are top notch, plentiful, & well done. These kinds of vids are just rewards for loyal customers. Keep rockin', awesome video! Peace.
CC is Awesome! Is the only guitar player ever seen running and jumping around and still sounds like he play perfectly.
I have always thought that C.C was very under-rated. Drug and alcohol fueled solos aside. So many iconic riffs
....forget it...lets divebomb again...lol
I really enjoy your disecting of these solos, you're an awesome player. you did an amazing job with that wild-non-solo-no-structure- unimpresive solo. If you can reproduce it. My hats off to you. Enjoy your playing and your channel. Keep it up dude!!
I really enjoyed this solo breakdown. There's a lot of good stuff goin' on in there.
I've seen Poison 4 times form 2001 to 2004. That guy is just over the top live.
I'm surprised you just admitted that.
I like what I like and I give no fucks if anyone else thinks it's lame.
@@djay6651 I'm into Thrash. And I've lost count of how many times I've seen Poison in concert. Admittedly, it wasn't to see them all of the time. I wanted to see bands that were touring with them. Other than C.C. going off the rails, Poison wasn't a bad band. They were a fun band that symbolized everything the 80's was about. Plain and simple! But, I will say this. I went to the Poison/Warrant concert. Warrant wiped the floor with Poison.
😬 what you want to be saying is, i took the money i saved from not going to four hack concerts in 2004 and instead bought bitcoin for 20$ a pop. I now pay CC $5000 a night to throw keytars into the hotub on my yacht. i have also cornered the market on bret michaels wigs.
@@impossiblewindows4367 bro why are you such a hater in everyone’s comments. Poison is wild not very intuitive music but it’s FUN. That’s okay.
CC is my wife’s cousin and I’ve had the pleasure of meeting him a few times. He IS a true artist and guitar legend, and his personality really is exactly what you see in his stage presence. What most people miss about him is his platform sneakers he always wears. Dude is short, but HUGE personality!
You are so lucky i grew with that music they are so awesome and beautiful videos...
Lol. Marty Friedman wears platform shoes as well. Super tiny guy.
Gene and Paul are the original platform shoe dudes.
@@tribunation except Marty can play
I was CC's friend in elementary school. He was as crazy back then. Good times for sure.
Great video. "Forget it, dive bomb" lol C.C. is a master and my favorite guitarist high or not hes ridiculously good and highly underrated
LMAO I dont know how you kept a straight face while making this.Props to you. This is hillarious.
Man, the solo in Heaven Sent is godly, so much groove in it, great note choices, totally Lynch
Nonsense is always hard to replicate exactly. The reason he played what he did instead of the recorded version is because the recorded version was either A: multiple takes that were too hard to pull off, B: sections he played correct once and stuck together, or C: played by somebody else.
Or D: multiple lines of coke prior to the show
@@simonjohnson1381 This is the more likely scenario
Awe man, I watched and enjoyed the entire thing, but was left wanting.. I waited to hear you put it all together full speed
Great video. Just subscribed to you. Big Poison fan from back in the day. Love you how said "chemically fueled." Very nice way to put it. :)
Studio version: 🎶🎶🎵🎵
Live version: ❓⚠️〽️❇️⛔
This was close to the time of the MTV VMAs which was CC's final performance with Poison for what was to be many years. That was chemically on purpose as the band was imploding at the time. Whatever was going on and about to happen at the VMAs was already happening. CC didn't care, was an addict, and was essentially done with the whole thing.
This was CC giving the finger to the band! They were in a huge fight right before the show!
ROBOTRON was my favorite arcade game back in the early 80's.
Saw him a couple years ago when they co-headlined with Tesla and Def Leppard. C.C. Deville played the solo pretty much exactly as it sounded on the album, but with some harder attack and wider bends. I suppose he figured his old fans were more fond of the nostalgia than the histrionics. Or maybe he was just a bit calmer in his old age. ;)
Or... he is sober now?
Less coke….😂😂
CC's best solo is without a doubt "Life Goes On" . Its perfect in all the way, lots of emotion and technique in it. You should check it mate :)
This song is THE reason I started to play guitar.
One of my favorite solos for sure
"CC's best solo" is an oxymoron
My Fav'.
I couldn't agree more, every time Life Goes On randomly plays on my playlist I feel so much happiness with that first lick intro, and just wait for the solo to happens, my brother always repeats the solo part over and over again
Awesome video! Always wanted to see a deep dive into this moment. Also great to see you supporting Kyle Dunnigan....KURP! :)
That's rock n roll and how it is really done, we need more of that right now
Never understood why people love to diss C.C. - I think he has mad skills and his style of playing suits Poison's music very well.
Great song writer. His live performances not great.
Probably because Poison is trash.
Because he can barely play?
He’s good but sloppy
Because people are full of shit, fuc em......just call them out to their faces.
I saw Poison at the Roxy (small club) in Hollywood when after they were huge and before they could play big places again... so like 2002 probably. Anyway, C.C. over-played all the way through every song and it was actually kind of amazing. He was totally in the zone just doing whatever he wanted. I always hated his playing in the 80s but now I can see that he's actually pretty handy on the guitar.
They played big places again? Crazy I thought they over and done by the 90’s. These bands were playing bars in the alternative years when I was going to shows. By the 2000’s I was too busy in college.
@@bojangles6444 Do not ever underestimate the demand for nostalgia, even for things that almost everybody was ashamed of 25 years ago.
@@pfzt A lot of these 80s metal bands who have hung on through the down times are seeing a resurgence because their fanbase are at a point in their lives where their kids are grown so they can go to shows again. They can actually play nice venues too, because the fans have money to spend and don't mind paying a premium to sit down in a nice air conditioned venue with comfortable seats.
@@pfzt yeah true. In the 90’s I barely knew these bands existed. One weekend they had an 80’s metal weekend on mtv. (Crazy huh?) I was shocked I never heard of most of the bands and it was good guitar solos. Better than 90’s solos at least. Some very technical players- you never heard that in the 90’s. I was into hair metal for a little while just Bc I liked the guitar playing and it was so taboo in those days. I never liked poison much though. George Lynch from Dokken had some good solos, same thing with Ratt. Basically I would skip through the rest of the songs lol. That’s the music that made mtv famous imo. Big hair, big solos, tight pants lol.
You’re one of the best guitarist on CZcams man!
Very cool video duder! 😃👍
Since you're doing 80's guitar solos, you should do the Peacemaker Die solo by Extreme. It's insane and worthy of your effort.
Anything off Masi "Downtown Dreamers" would be awesome too.
I just saw Poison at the Stadium Tour and C.C. Was awesome. He didn’t miss a lick and even honored EVH by playing a portion of Eruption.
I absolutely loved this video.
That's some crazy stuff, thanks for the layout! Could you PLEASE tell me what that neck pu is you have. Been trying to figure this out for the longest time but can't find them anywhere.
I remember in 88 or so I met a engineer that said CC didn't record his solos a studio musician did. He said alot of famous bands do
He’s credited with the solo for Cherry Pie so I’m not sure I believe that he didn’t do his own solos in studio
Hired Gun is a great doc on Amazon about these guys. Studio time is expensive so the record companies often hire the best studio musicians to get it done quick.
@@simonjohnson1381 CC Deville is credited for that solo?
How is that possible when he didn't even record the solos on the Poison albums?
@@kwantoon you got proof that he didn’t play the solos on their albums?
I've got a question: How long do you generally take to learn something via 1/2 speed till you can play it full?
Would like a barometer of my own progress.
Really depends on the solo. For Paradise City it took over a week just to get that one lick down (the one I did a video on). For other solos I'm able to get them up to 100% usually in a few days, but remember I've been playing guitar forever so I've been able to find patterns that speed up my process.
45 seconds
ive been watching your videos forever, you taught me the sweet child lick and the crazy train lick, and like a dum dum i just realised i wasnt subcribed. u the man bro
Love the guitar. That's my favorite too. I own several JS models and numerous Radius models. Feels comfy, sounds great, plays amazing, never goes out of tune,
I think that we all can safely assume that DeVille was NOT on heroin. 🤤 😴
More like crack.
No he had a horrible coke problem
It's alright, it's alright: Cocaine.
Big Time coke head then.
No coke he's bad ass
Honestly some people with adhd get zoomin off dope
But CC sweat cocaine
This is indeed a good reminder of giving space to your emotions, go with the flow. I played with a guitarist years ago who was clearly very skilled, but he couldn't improvise if his life depended on it. Let's call him anti-CC. Having said that, feelings can only take you so long and without the necessary skills, you can't express them. I'm very nostalgic about hair metal from those glory days, but I also think that it came to a point where harmonics and divebombs were used almost as a disguise. It's flashy and cool and makes non-guitarists think you're very skilled. Kind of like in a Michael Bay movie, where there are constant explosions from start to finish so that the audience doesn't discover the complete lack of story. ;)
Great video. Would love to see you go over the variations and fills CC did that show in Talk Dirty To Me with the rhythm parts.
That solo for heaven sent is my favorite of all of them...it fits the song so good and is so raunchy. For me his solo on that song represents the angst one feels when they are all tied in knots inside from a woman they love. .it has that intensity that matches the message of the words
Seen him live in the ‘80’s when Poison opened for David Lee Roth on the Skyscraper Tour. CC struggled all night. It made me wonder if they used studio musicians for the guitar parts on their recordings. CC couldn’t play most of the solos. It was mind blowing to watch Steve Vai light up the place after watching CC struggling.
He was just way too high. 😁
I also sore c.c. DeVille with poison in the 80s with David Leroy and Steve Vai and Billy Sheehan I saw them at the Nassau Coliseum in New York CC had no problem playing every one of his solos and he was excellent as a matter of fact I wasn't the poison fan till I saw them in concert and so so how good CeCe was on guitar so he did have a substance abuse problem back then he was probably coked out of his mind when I saw him but a few CC when he's not all coked up in the drugs aren't taking control he's an exceptional and great guitarist and he's a lot of fun he's also very underrated so why don't we just give CeCe a break I'm sure you've had your amount of substances in U2 especially back in the eighties as we all did
A ton of those bands used studio ringers
Cocaine’s a hell of a drug!
Crack cocaine, apparently.
Especially the good coke they had back then
Cc is such an underrated shredder very excellent guitar god absolutely awesome😄🎤🎸🎼🎵🎶youve got millions of fans here🇵🇭
Good songwriter. Definitely not a shredder.
Yeah just listen to all his jams and Riffs let your eats be the judge🎸👍
Excellent analysis
He has always be an under rated lead guitarist
No. No he hasn't.
CC Deville does not get enough credit for his playing and how well his solos fit in with the songs for Poison. I've seen Brett Michaels live with his solo band twice and they mostly play Poison songs but they dont have the same energy, magic or whatever you want to call it because the guitar player can't play them how CC does.
Not many can, ask any decent guitarist what solos are really hard to play accurately and a lot will say any CCD solo.
Wrong, he gets way too much. He sucks balls in every way possible as a Musician. It's obvious why Poison turned Slash down since they didn't look for talent, they looked only for the right style of clothes...
CC rhythms may be catching but his solos suck....may have something to do with him being so strung out on coke.....which will never allow a player to play his best.
His solos all sound exactly the same.
@@enaquasanitas7017
It's not his tone. His vibrato really just sucks LOL! Even when he's not bending, he sounds out-of-tune and I don't think it's the guitar. Might be perfect for Poison, but he really is a pretty lousy player.
My fave player. So much fun live
Lol “The faster and sloppier the better”. First time I’ve ever heard that in a transcription lmao. 🤘🤘🤘
