I remember the 3D blu-ray of this can be found in the Shout factory set
I got the Blu ray 3-D ( Active Glasses ) type. I had to buy the entire Friday the 13th set from shout factory just to get part 3 in 3-D, it was well worth it. It was the same effect as the anaglyph glasses where some shots come right at your nose, I’m glad I spent the two hundred dollars for it.
Is this the only way to get it? 😢

The ending was amazing 😂😂 but scared me
I loved this movie, and i think the directing of steve Miner is far more smarter and has nuances than we think (long takes, framing,,).
About 3d, please take a look to Universal soldier : Day of reckoning.
Very twisted reboot of Universal Soldier, very arty and amazing dark B version of Apocalypse Now (kind of).
I didn't like them glasses but the new 3-D was version was much better
Imo Ny Bloody Valentine 3-D has the best 3-D watch at home on the TV screen.
As soon as Scream Factory released their amazing Friday the 13th blu ray collection I put in the 3d version of this film first. The legit 3d disc looks fantastic. Part 3 was never one of my favorite Friday films, but after seeing it how it was supposed to be seen, it went up on my list significantly. As a horror lover, Im so glad you finally reviewed this one even if it's not the full 3d version. If your open to review more horror I'd recommend the 3d blu ray's of The Maze, Creature from the black lagoon, Amityville 3d, Jaws 3d, and House of Wax with Vincent Price.

Yeah, "cringey" is being kind in regards to the dialogue. I thought the writing was absolutely atrocious, even for 1982 horror flick standards. .. Although after recently watching Amityville 3D, another 80s 3D horror flick, I guess it was par for the course. 😂 The 3D on this was pretty decent though, so I'd say it's worth a watch.
GREAT ENDING by the way! Glad to see you dipping your toes in some horror. There aren't a ton of 3D horror flicks that I think are excellent (as most horror movies are darkly lit, and 3D hates the dark) but Poltergeist (2015) was pretty damn good imo.

Great 3D flick,saw it in 3D on the big screen in 1983, I got the real Blu Ray 3D version, it is worth seeking out, however it is only available in a Friday the 13th box set released in US, You're not a big horror fan, but there are a few good 3D movies worth seeing out with excellent 3D: Dario Argento's Dracula, Nurse 3D, Julia X, Prmetheus, My Bloody Valentine, Texas Chainsaw 3D, Silent Hill: Revelation, Amityville 3D, Flesh For Frankenstein (one of the greatest 3D movies ever made!)- These are all great 3D movies and you are missing out if you don't see them. As for my rating: 3.5 for the movie, 4,25 for the 3D.

Well this is a review I'd never thought I'd see. Had me rewinding to see when the mask disappeared. Also really enjoying the screen shots inserted into the review. Fun review.
You can easily get the 3-D glasses usually. In 2008. We didn't have 4k HDMI or really none of that stuff yet. I simply went to Walmart and purchased the regular DVD, not the Blu-ray and it came with the same glasses and worked completely fine on my regular TV. A lot of times when I stream it. It comes up with the 3-D format of the movie actually. And I have to get the right link to enjoy it without the weird off coloring or blurred contrast. So it's actually more common for me at least, to not end up getting the regular 2-D. Which I find weird. But it also goes with other 3-D theatrical releases. Especially in horror such as Saw 3-D. But you probably wouldn't be able to handle that not being a horror fan and all. However the Friday the 13th franchise is still my favorite oit of all of them. I like the very different music,as if a whole symphony is playing this bizarre slasher music accompanied by the Kill Kill Kill Mom Mom Moms whenever the killer is present. I definitely enjoy the earlier ones. The look the feel the atmosphere. Everything that made the 80s so great. And 1-4 are the ones that Jason is the scariest in. However Jason Lived is very good,except it's more of a fun movie tather than a very creepy summer camp dlasher in the woods. And I didn't mind The New Blood either as finally Jadon it seemed had definitely met his match and it was cool to see the punishment he would take at the hands of a final girl with the special powers equivalent to Carrie. Manhattan was a terrible mees. Jason Goes to Hell is the absolute worst this franchise has to offer and Jason vs Freddy is a fun popcorn movie. And it was a descent script in the way or idea of how Jason returned. It was Freddy who brought him back from hell to do his dirty work so that ppl would think it was Freddy , they'd remember him again,and then fear Freddy again. Which is Freddy's power to return. Remembering him and fearing him. Then he returns to your dreams and kills his victims regaining the power he once had. And ppl standing in the middle of the between the two are complete fodder. Yes New Line is the house that Freddy built so Jason definitely takes more of a beaten obviously. However becomes the hero out of the two. But seriously still a very dangerous entiywho kills everyone he encounters in bruttfashion. I would definitely recommend the remake (2009) Friday the 13th. Ppl shit on it,I liked it. It broia couple new and cool concepts to the Jason lore. And combined the first four originals or three inttone film. He is more of a hunter, setting traps and trip wires for his victims. So they ground it a bit more. The only thing that really brings it down a d reason some ppl dislikiit was because the group of teenagers or pre adults are very unlikable characters. So you really don't care if they die. Had they made the characters not duch dicks, including the first group at the beginning. The movie would have been so much better. But I liked it a lot. And I'd say imo, that it's probably the dixth ranked for me out if all of them. Right after Jason Lives and before New Blood. But nonetheless a very fun franchise. If you watched three. I definitely recommend at least watch The Final Chapter. No actually. Watch the original then two,then The Final Chapter. Everyone agrees Final Chapter is the best in the sert. And I definitely will agree. But my fatis Part 2. But the first four films in the series are the best the franchise has to offer,and definitely Jason Lives. And the 2009 remake. But I'm a very devoted fan to this series and am very psyched for The Crystal Lake series and the new film in the wirks. We've waited way too long so they better bring it

I don't know if you survived that ending, but nice review anyway. I get you, I don't really do that much horror either. Anaglyph 3D can be a bit of a nuisance. But done right, it can still be enjoyable. And it's nice to hear this film does it right. You know, if you'd like to check out another anaglyph 3D presentation that might be worth your time, I'd suggest Shrek 3-D (not to be confused with Shrek (2001) in 3D), the film that has Shrek wearing 3D glasses on the cover. But once again, that's only if you've made it out alive.

I've been meaning to get to you about your review and I just have farted around and haven't done it yet. Anyway, a movie I never thought that I would say I want to see until you reviewed it as in Friday the 13th Part 3 in 3D. I now think that, after your enthusiasm, I will have to give it a shot and see what I think also! Keep up the great reviews!

@@TommyBoy3D Let's make it easy. There are three X-Men movies that you haven't reviewed that are fabulous 3D movies. X-Men Wolverine, X-Men Days of Future Past and X-Men Apocalypse filmed with 3D cameras and they are fantastic! Just do those because they'll be easier to remember and then we can go from there if that works for you, it does for me! Like I said, keep up the excellent work!
