Andrew, Alex and Phil are geniuses. HoHH has amazing 3-D. Blew my expectations away completely. I’m really, really excited for what they have in store. And with more films turning PD every year, they have lots to choose from if they want to go back to the ‘20s, and soon the ‘30s. On January 1st, 2024, all films released in 1928 and before will be in the public domain.
I have loved this film since I was little. I literally just watched it with my kids a few weeks ago and they love Vincent Price. So now I am elated to learn of this 3D conversion!

This movie is one of my all time favorites. Vincent Price is amazing as usual. I received my copy a few weeks ago and was ready to be ultra critical of the conversion if it wasn't absolutely spot on. But I can not express how beautiful this conversion is. The depth of field achieved by the AI software is incredible. They even made the titles "pop"!! If you are a fan of the movie then you have to see this version! Great content by the way, some of the info was unknown to me. Like the old Emergo tech....awesome!

Got my copy this weekend, ordered it late Thursday night and received it Saturday morning. Was very impressed with the shipping speed. Overall I really enjoyed the movie, the AI-assisted conversion was very good actually. Especially liked the floating head shots at the beginning. I'd forgotten how similar this original plot was to the 1999 remake, which I also loved. The only disappointing factor was I was unable to get the 4D gimmick to work for some reason. But, that didnt hinder my enjoyment of the film. I'm really glad this is getting some attention and look forward to their upcoming conversions, including another Vincent Price flick, "Last Man on Earth", the first adaptation of "I am Legend" and possibly the most faithful and my favorite adaptation.

@@TommyBoy3Dand you're right, the future implications of this new conversion process really is exciting! Hopefully someday we'll be able to instantly convert whatever we want into 3D at the click of a button. Also, the 2007 sequel, Return to House on Haunted Hill, the bluray is an interactive "choose your own adventure" style presentation with 96 unique choice paths. It's not 3D, but it adds another dimension entirely. Just ordered it, should be interesting. Hope you're well, thanks for the review as always ✌

Glad you're sharing this! I was very impressed with the results.. they are obviously not perfect but considering the resources used (basically nothing!) I was awed and will pre-order anything they put out.

I'm actually thinking of picking up the digital copy they have on their gumroad store is because I am really interested in this conversion but I don't feel like committing to getting the disc right now, and plus it seems that they're just giving you a DRM free MP4 copy of the movie. Hopefully they give me access to the QR code for the Ermergo, then again it's not really like I could take advantage of it since I'll be wearing my VR headset... Damn. Oh well. It's really cool to see a new 3D conversion of an old movie pop up in 2023, and I really hope these guys get the license to do some bigger stuff. I saw on their website they mentioned wanting to do some TV shows and I honestly wouldn't love to see them get the right to do a show like Futurama. Either the whole show or at least one of the four direct to DVD movies. But they seem to only limit themselves to public domain stuff which is understandable, if not very saddening to me.
I'm watching it right now and the 3D is pretty awesome for the most part, apart from a few things like fringe hair around people's heads and the chandelier at the start of the movie which was likely very hard to do.
