I've always used a thin cotton cloth between the iron and fabric. Hadn't thought about using parchment paper, I'll have to give it a try. I've also turned the item inside out and ironed it that way while still using the cotton cloth as some fabric will melt even with a cloth if you try to do it on the outside.

@@intotheunknown6736 Are you wearing the dress, or is the dress wearing you? The whole point of the WIDE variety we see in fashion is to know your body type and select the silhouette most flattering to it. Even designer dresses and shoes run small, so order your shoes at least 1/2 size bigger on the shoes, and depending on the designer, order your clothing one size bigger. I learned the hard way. Thank you for sharing, Happy Holidays❤❤❤

I think people forget that sizes in other countries are not the same and then sizes can run small to normal. An American 18 is a uk 22 for example. A Japanese 2xl is a uk medium but sometimes it’s not even that. If ordering online, it can be confusing.
If you’re unsure about what size to order, order a size LARGER than you think you’ll need. It’s much easier to take fabric away than add it and, if you need alterations later or to add details you’ll have extra, perfectly matching fabric for them
I dont think most people realize dresses are typically cut 2 sizes smaller than your everyday clothes and wedding dresses and formal wear are cut 4 sizes smaller .......meaning they got to order bigger, especially from some of those sites that do cuts closer to the asian sizing. @@intotheunknown6736 Are you wearing the dress, or is the dress wearing you? The whole point of the WIDE variety we see in fashion is to know your body type and select the silhouette most flattering to it. I'm rather small, but I have pretty wide shoulders (for a woman) and something of a bubble butt. A bit of flair in the skirt balances my less admirable features and emphasizes my waist. A sheath gown would make me look like a dinky football player in drag. Common sense and fashion sense do NOT equate to "misogyny," and your gutter-bound mind regarding my screen name does NOT make me "some small little man."
Wow, you totally can't tell! Now that's talent! Just matching up the material like that but wow! You're good!
A lot of times these clothes getting shipped from over seas run EXTRA SMALL. You did magic girl!!!! You're very good at what you do ❤💯💪💃
I’m so addicted to your videos!
You rock! You are so talented.
You are such a magician with these hard to sew fabrics and crazy designs. I hope more people learn how to problem solve by watching your stuff!
This is such a pretty dress! The only improvement I would have made is fixed the bow a little bit higher on the dress. It looks a bit saggy.
Why can’t people buy dresses that flatter their bodies? If you are not the size of the model wearing the dress do not order! There are flattering dress options for every body type.
You know your the best....saving all these women making memories!!!!
You are truly amazing. A miracle worker. And watching your magic I can thank my lucky stars that the wedding dress we ordered for our daughter came on time - and fit the bride perfectly! I didn't sleep much until she tried it on. All the best to you.
Why are y’all so mean in these comments ….
You are working magic for these ladies that think that there measurements are the same from when they were in High School. I hope that you are charging them a pretty penny for your hard work and your time.❤
We need to buy our actual sizes and be honest with ourselves, and be real about our individual body shapes and sizes.. because that was bought too small knowingly. I love this page this is pure artistry, and talent saving us from ourselves ❤ by helping us step out in style 😎
I am a young seamstress, and your videos give me a new perspective and ideas on the projects I work on. You also give me confidence in my work, seeing the things we do similarly. I felt like I was too young to start a seamstressing business, and that people wouldn’t take me seriously for that, but you look so young and seem so young wise. Love your videos!
I never realized how many women ordered clothes that’s too small for them. You are a lifesaver, because most of these women ordered these too small clothes for major events.
You are amazing ! You just can't charge enough, for these miracles ! Client & dress look fabulous !
It's a beautiful dress and once again you performed your magic. It amazes me how you always find matching fabric. ❤❤❤
All your alterations are amazingly beautiful!🥰
Great job.
❤❤❤
I have done alterations for friends, but your skill and patience is truly outstanding.
Ohhh! My dear, you are a Master! My Mother was a seamstress before she went back to school, and she pulled off miracles as you do. Amazing!❤ Just a thought for anyone ordering from Temu. Their sizes run small, even their shoes. Order at least 2 sizes bigger that what you normally wear. Even designer dresses and shoes run small, so order your shoes at least 1/2 size bigger on the shoes, and depending on the designer, order your clothing one size bigger. I learned the hard way. Thank you for sharing, Happy Holidays❤❤❤
Fantastic work! It is wonderful you could find matching fabric! That is always the toughest thing when needing to add fabrics and having to be ultra creative in troubleshooting!
Well done indeed !
Thank you for being able to help her.
As a bigger girl myself boy oh boy do I know such a problem.
You did great! Could you please start including the charge/cost for the alterations done. I feel like people expect your skill and hard work for a very low cost. You have a skill and people should know what to expect to pay for such skills. Thank you in advance.❤
That looks great! You can’t tell at all that you added more fabric. 😍♥️
You are amazing at what you do, a true artist!
I don’t wear fancy dresses I don’t need altercations…. But I’m up all night watching your videos.😂❤
Awesome Alteration!! Definitely loving the altered back!!
I initially thought you added butterfly’s to a skin tone fabric which l loved lol, but your work here was impeccable!
Oh my goodness. What an absolutely stunning dress!
You did a beautiful job. I just found your channel. Your work is amazing. You're helping women feel beautiful. Thank you.
Superbly talented, professional seamstress! BRAVA!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Your alterations are perfect,I admire your skill
I think people forget that sizes in other countries are not the same and then sizes can run small to normal.
An American 18 is a uk 22 for example.
A Japanese 2xl is a uk medium but sometimes it’s not even that.
If ordering online, it can be confusing.
BEAUTIFUL JOB! I'm sure your client was happy and hope she had a wonderful time at her event. ❤😊
The bow is the back is soooo cute I’m going to copy that idea!!!! Thank you ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
My goodness! You are so incredibly talented. Like-you work magic! I love watching your work!
Love the bow! Really added style to dress.
I thought you had maybe added mesh inserts with butterflies. Now i want a butterfly dress.😢
Most women know its crazy to trting to get clothes because every flipping brand is a different size for the same size number. Absolutely bonkers.
I love how you make it work!! That slick fabric makes me cuss! Ive mended several things for friends and neighbors. I enjoy your videos!! Thanks for sharing and keep doing your thing!!
Very creative it fits her perfectly I love the back it’s giving cute lady boss.
AWESOME As Always 👍👍 Sis You Got MADD SKILLS. Your Hands Are Blessed For Real 👍🔥
I can't think of a better word than you are absolutely magically gifted and amazing ❤️❤️
You did great! Adding the blue butterflies 🦋 would put it over the top!
You’re a beautiful seamstress! A miracle worker!
You did a wonderful job on that dress and alternating it
You are a magician! I hope you are being well paid for all the work you do. No one orders a size to small by accident it seems. 😊
That dress is adorable!❤️❤️🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
You are really good! It must take a lot of patience to find the perfect match of fabric, measure precisely and sew it all together to make a new dress! Incredible! Well done!
That was nice! Fantastic!! Thanks god slaying! Before you started I thought 😮 sheer she going to add sheer side cut out! You found a perfect match!
Ma’am that dress turned out so beautiful, dare I say sexy. I know every head turned as she floated around the reception glowing like a woman in love. My opinion is that the dress not only fit, but what you did was FINISH the dress, really elevated whole garment, and something else, this dress is timeless, she can wear it to so many special occasions, great finished product.
Despite being unable to get a close up look, it appears to be beautifully done!
You are amazing. I cannot see the difference in the fabric.
You did amazing at tailoring and embellishments. Beautiful. ❤
Aw, I wish we couldve seen her final look all done up. I can just imagine how stunning. Your hands are weapons. ❤
❤ You are a miracle worker and a wonderful professional.
You did a fantastic job with the alterations!! 10/10 ! I just don’t think this dress is flattering on her body shape at all. I wish she’d went with something else. But again you killed it ! ❤
Beautiful alteration! Can’t tell where the additional fabric is at all!!
I do alterations but your work still amazes me!
You are so talented! To be honest, I would not order a dress like that online. Beautiful job!
Very nice work!! The dress is beautiful.
Damn, you are a mega Seamstress sent straight from the God's!!! 💜💜💜💯💯💯🙇🏻♀️🙇🏻♀️🙇🏻♀️🙆🏻♀️🙆🏻♀️🙆🏻♀️
Love watching your work. Nothing short of incredible
The way you stressed "lightly pressed" 😂 Spoke to my soul that doesn't always listen closely to things before trying it on my own
I'm loving your videos by the way! I just found your channel today and they've been so fun to watch! Your work is amazing ❤
You are a real fairy godmother. Amazing transformation, as always
Hahaha you popping up to point at the extra fabric was so funny
Beautiful, absolutely love it. Great work.😊❤❤❤
