I was mostly blown away by the Dragon Quest I-2 HD announcements, MVSC2 and Metroid Prime 4 after so many years waiting and almost losing hope I guess I can wait another year.

I can't believe that in a direct with a new Zelda game, Metroid Prime 4 footage, and an announcement of DQ I and II in 2D HD, that Fantasian was the announcement that got me the most hyped. What a Direct! Goodness from start to finish.
I was happy. Especially for Marvel vs Capcom Collection and Metroid Prime 4 Beyond

Metroid Prime 4, DQ 1-3 HD remakes, Saga 2 Remake, NEW ZELDA... good golly it was epic. Excited to play the New Mario and Luigi with my son. And YES gosh Fantasian is looking so insane, been wanting that for years. Hoping for a physical release.
It would be amazing if Capcom could give the first 3 breath of fire games the 2DHD treatment.

Mario & Luigi surprised me after AlphaDream went bankrupt. Very excited about those games as well.
@@Castlecrasher777Nintendo didn't save Alphadream because they had an idea that the dev team was being rushed and was getting down to the wire for releases, so they offered them jobs with some of they spaces and had them work on this project. In the end, the core of Alphadream still lives.

Yes there was a dragon quest already copyright in the US not wanting to fight it was re name dragon warrior for north America

One of the best Nintendo Directs ever. The last shot of Metroid Prime 4 was the best. Samus walking through that open area in the forest looked fantastic. The rest of the trailer had me a little worried...

As a big dragon quest, zelda, and metroid fan, this might have been the best direct yet.
My son just got into fighting games, so marvel v capcom is perfect timing, and I can finally play Fantasian.
Fun fact: the original Zelda, the original Metroid, and Dragon Quest 3 all came out the same year. 1986

This was one of the best Directs theyve had in years. Feels like a last hurrah for the switch. Im glad it's going out with a bang.

Really excited about DQ 1-3, disappointed there was no Suikoden remaster update though 😭. I was really hoping for WW/TP too
I know these are new games, but to see all those pixelated graphics just brings me back to all of those great games I played during the 8 bit, 16 bit, 32 bit and 64 bit era!

I'm pretty sure there will be a Switch-successor version of Metroid Prime 4. Tons of people have had this same thought. It's Nintendo's MO. It's just that they usually do it with Zelda games... and I don't think they'll do it with this newest Zelda, lol.
I don't think they will with Zelda either, but it would be nice if they at least give it a 60fps patch since Link's Awakening had some framerate issues.
it would be a shame that they don't offer graphic resolution and framerate upgrade with the switch 2 like microsoft. i would just buy a steamdeck and say fuck to them

The Dragon Quest part was the my favorite even over Metroid Prime 4. Hearing that Dragon Quest music is just so special. But it was great to finally see a little bit of MP4 though. I hope they can show more soon. There's a lot of speculation that it might be being made for both Switch and Switch 2 consoles, but we'll see. It would be sweet to see what it could look like on an upgraded system.

Fantasian on consoles is something I’ve wanted ever since it was announced. I enjoyed Lost Odyssey so much that I got all the achievements including the ones in the DLC dungeon, the fact I now have another Mistwalker game to look forward to has me excited. Need that physical
I'm going to get Fantasian on PC, but damn, Lost Odyssey is so good. It made me sad when they went the mobile game route like surfing and stuff. Hope the game is awesome.

They need to release remastered and enhanced version of all 4 Metroid Prime games.
Isn't there enough remakes as it is. I think there should be more of a focus on new games.

The time gap between Super Metroid and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption is 13 years.... The time gap between Metroid Prime 3 and 4 will be 18 years!! 🥺
So happy about Dragon Quest. Kind of sad we still haven't heard anything about 12, but these remakes look fantastic so I'm more than satisfied with those. Hopefully we hear about 12 next year when they announce more information about 1+2. Seems like we won't get it until 2026 at least. Perhaps they're making it for Next Gen. I doubt it, but would be wild if that was one of the flagship games of the new system.

Nah, we should still get Link for the 2D games. Making Zelda the lead for a game with a drastically different gameplay style makes sense though

The Legend of Zelda - Echoes of Wisdom, Metroid Prime 4 and Donkey Kong Country Returns HD were the best announcements.
I just picked up a switch lite today. I never played nintendo switch before and there are tons of games. I picked up tears ofthe kingdom.
As someone who has been paying for Apple Arcade every month due to my child’s love of Hello Kitty Island Adventure, I squealed with joy when it got announced for Switch. Another sub finally bites the dust!

Dragon quest hd2d definetly was a winner for me!
But also the Romancing Saga 2 remake! Its one of my favorite games off all time, seeing it fully in 3d made me so happy, completly unexpected giving that we got a recently released saga game this year with Emerald Beyond
Dragon Quest HD-2D Remakes, Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection, and Metroid 4. I am to excited. I was happy with the DQ and MvC announcements and I was blown away with the MP4 announcement.
I couldn't be happier. HD 2D Dragon Quest Erdrick trilogy?! So hyped. Probably nostalgia, but I'm most excited for Dragon Quest 1. Won't get my hopes up because I'll be happy regardless, but, it will be amazing if DQ1 gets expanded as a game in some way.
Zelda Echoes of Wisdom was a welcome surprise. I know everyone wants Wind Waker & Twilight Princess, but you can get a Wii U for a fair price, still, and jail break it if the game discs are too pricey for your budget.
Capcom is doing a physical release of the Fighting Collection per the official website.
Most directs I like, and some I like a lot but this one...amazing!

I'm playing those Dragon Quests. Always wanted to get into them, but I was never convinced by aby of the ports. This style is great, it has the feel of pixel art on a CRT instead of just the regular smooth 2d graphics.
I loved this Nintendo direct! I'm most excited about DQ3 and the Zelda Echoes of Wisdom game.

This direct really went beyond my expectations. I was totally expecting just some re-releases/remasters (which would've been fine) but this was so, so much more! MP4 and the Marvel vs. Capcom Collection were probably the biggest surprises for me.
I am SUPER excited for DQ3 remake, but sadly I'm less excited for 1 and 2 because I JUST played them both for the first time ever. Planning on playing through the whole series but I waited on 3 because of the remake and now I wish i'd just waited on all 3

Turok got a remaster from Night Dive Studios. I played it a few years ago and really enjoyed it.
Probably much better on Steam than the foggy N64 version. I remember using cheats back in the day for the chronoscepter or whatever it was called

yeah the way they announced DQ I&II after the DQ III showcase was slick. I’m personally not a big fan of HD2D style, but I’m glad you like it.

Nintendo did a great job showcasing games that are releasing now, soon, and in the future.
ya know multi-media art has been around forever but the fact we're getting to a place when multi-media vidja games is a thing is wild and wonderful.
This is the first top down Zelda I've been REALLY excited for since A Link Between Worlds. Crazy to think that was nearly 10 years ago now
