I love how the very first pick he announced was Hakeem Olajuwon, an international player, and the very last pick he announced was an international player. That sums up what he did for basketball in the 30 years he was commissioner ; he made it a global game. Thank you David "Too" Stern!

Well, he did great things for the NBA, but there were times were he really let the fans down. Not sure how I feel about this guy, but I'm glad he's gone. No one spends 30 years in such a role without stirring the pot and creating controversy along the way. Replacing him was long overdue.
He brought the league to new heights. Of course he was helped by magic bird and jordan but ultimately he got the tv deals and promoted the league to unreachable heights. Ik he screwed up sometimes ex. Chris Paul but the good he did was greater than the bad by a lot
