Totally, when I started I was doing half traditional and digital art, and using the color picker on references really helped me see the colors a little better.
Even when I was doing something traditional I would sometimes color pick the reference just to confirm if what I was seeing was right :)
And now you're so great at recognizing color that you even are able to paint colored paintings from black and white photos! I still need to learn to do that btw
@@hambot hahaha something like that 😂 Yeaah I wanna see you try!
I am happy how you talk and know your stuff
Based on the thumbnail I already know its beautiful :)) Amazing!
Thank you!!
I really like how it really looked like your traditonal piece. Anyway, I'm curious about the brushes you use, especially the one written in japanese. May I know the link or the creator of the brush?
It's a great set of brushes and they're all free!

@@hambot thank you so much i'm crying 😭
Omg awesome had the same question! Now my anxious ass don't gotta ask xD
wow, I am really glad I found this video. I love digital art, but I've always been overwhelmed by common tutorials involving dozens of layers and blending modes. I really just prefer to paint like I'm painting traditionally. so it was awesome to see a process similar to mine!
Love your art as usual, love the colours and digital art looks amazing
omg yes digital art is just a way or tool so use it the way you feel most comfortable, it not the style.
I enjoy watching you talking and painting for the whole video 💗
Absolutely gorgeous.
It was so great! its insane that you applied the traditional art method to this digital painting which resulting looks more traditional than digital. I knew its not the brush from the app but the skills and method that you applied. Im looking forward to see more digital artworks and process to your channel.
OMG, I learned to scan the texture of the paper from you thanks po :) I'm also new in digital painting and I also felt the fears of doing it from doing the classic traditional art.. the painting came out beautifully and side by side if I will compare your traditional from this digital version of your masterpiece, I really don't see any different po.. Love it
this is so beautiful, I would love to see you paint more pieces traditionally without reference, I love the way you rendered her face
Very beautiful digital painting, seems like gouache painting. So nice😍😍
ILYSM, Ate 😭 Your piece never fails to amaze meeee! 😚❤️

Hi ate i love your work po! What blender did you use po?

What brush pack did you used?
its called: Thick coating Brush Set (厚塗りブラシセット)
Can you please tell me where can I buy it
2:38 I notice you are using a japanese brush to blend . it is difficult to do it with any brush .
also the oil paint, gouache and dry gouache . the key is the brush you use to color . i tried to do some painting with the pen brush and i didn't have good results.
Where you from po?
What device are you using?
call 911 her hair is on fired
Hi, what kind of pencil are you using?

Noooooo not digital. We have lost another good one. Too bad
what are you on about
@@aprilh.6200 Unless you are rendering 3D models, using digital for artwork is a gross exaggeration of talent. No one wants to learn dynamic lighting, color theory, or build muscle memory in their hand anymore. They want line smoothing, color wheels that pick the color for you, and digital light effects because they’re too lazy to learn it with traditional. They want easy digital layering techniques where they don’t have to worry about the previous layers, or can even completely remove a layer if they don’t like it. Instead of redrawing a face, it’s cut and pasted into the correct position. The whole medium is a huge crutch

@@TOGGGAA1 I totally get your point, but you should also know that HamRib is a traditional artist. She even said it in her video that she rarely uses digital paint and she wanted to try something new from time to time. You shouldn’t discourage artists who use the digital medium because there’s so much to learn from it, just as much as traditional arts. I am an artist myself. I use both traditional and digital mediums, yet I still struggle with color theory, lighting, and anatomy even while using digital paint yet I am still eager to learn more all the same so I could be a better concept artist and character designer then probably work in studios. Plus, I personally think that the digital medium is a better option when I can’t afford to buy fancier painting stuff. Digital arts is just as important as traditional arts, it allows you to explore more and see what you can do then probably progress to animation, editing, and eventually 3d rendering. It’s all baby steps and it starts with the basics which is drawing/painting.
@@TOGGGAA1 Plus you really shouldn’t just plainly call artists “talented” because there’s so much more work they actually put into their arts, even on digital. If talent could do ANYTHING to an artist, then they should just finish a work in a snap of their fingers, but no. They work for themselves to create art. Traditional art gives an artist a more realistic art experience, and digital arts offers efficiency (for the most part). Regardless of what medium an artist chooses to pick, art is still an art.
