This is a speed test of the VKAR RACING 61101 SCTX10 V2 to see how fast it is out of the box on 3S Power! It's one of the cheapest and most affordable Fast Hobby Grade RC Trucks we have ever seen! We aren't saying this is "Cheap" but for what it is it really is a great deal! To clock our speeds, we'll be using a GPS speed meter, which turns out to be pretty accurate! Another reason for the parachuting could be the lift of the front suspension under acceleration as the rear compresses. May be put holes in the black portions of the back of the body to let the air escape. it all is in the tuning .

Hi guys I love your videos I am a fifty-year-old RC addict one problem I have when you have to do a speed run the track that you go to is for human beings it is not long enough I go to large parking lots or industrial complexes they usually have streets that are very untraveled you truly will get a real speed with a longer run thanks keep up the work

All jokes asides, this Short course Truck is actually a clone of the Helion Select four 10SC. This is good news for you because it means you can have the option of buying cheap VKar racing parts online or buying Helion parts from your local hobby store which may cost more but means you may not have to wait.
That's unfortunate that you're having issues with Thaxxas. I've owned RC vehicles from a lot of different manufacturers and seem to always come back to their products. They're not perfect and some of their products seem to be overpriced, but overall my family has more fun and less problems with the majority of the RC vehicles we buy from them.

I have spent over 1300$ on a Traxxas x max for my son and less than 30 days it’s been sent back to TRAXXAS after begging them to help and I pay shipping mind everyone within 1st 30 days never will I buy another Traxxas just because the way they stood BEHIND NOTHING UNTIL I PAID FOR IT

Bit of friendly advice... Turn your D/R down so that the steering won't be so sharp. I have a Traxxas UDR with the 34T pinion on 6S, and I turn the dual rate down to less than 15% for straight speed runs on cement. Over 40mph with 100% Dual Rate on cement, straight, is pretty difficult to do.
With a 15% dual rate I can hit 64mph on a fresh set of 6S (2x3s Serial) batteries, straight run on cement. Also, might help to find a wider area, and about twice the length. Just an FYI from a long time RC user of many surface and air RC models.
If you break it can you go to your local hobby shop and get parts for it or do you have to wait a month

I know this is an older video but I noticed something useful..if you have body lift issues in the nose, this model can easily be adjusted for it by moving the front shock lower mount to a different hole closer to the tire, thereby lowering the nose. This will also stiffen the suspension which is good on pavement but not for off-road.
The holes in the body is great Idea. Those short course body's just don't do well with speed. I probably couldn't do that good lol. Keep it up love you guys
That thing is pretty sweet but i really love my senton 6s i hit 77 mph the other day with the speed pinion on 6s it was crazy.

Question I recently pick up an old rtr RC10 T3 I built it an it came with another LRP esc, it’s brushed I’m new to electric’s normally deal with nitro but anyways, long story short it was slow tried different gearing different brushed motor said screw it went brushless I got a Hobbywing EZRUN combo with the max10 ecs & 5400 kv brushless motor I wired everything up set my end points on my esc an everything seemed find I’m still running nimh batteries I’m going to get lipos tomorrow, but the thing is once I set the car on the ground with 25% throttle it drives fine but anything after that 25% my steering cuts in an out an so does my throttle but when it’s off the ground with no load on the tires everything is ok an I disabled LVC also cause the manual said since I’m running nimh batteries do that an that might solve the problem but it didn’t, would you have a clue to what the problem might be ?
Are parts available for this truck? How would this compare to the arrma senton?
Pretty impressive for a “Laxxas” Lash. My question is do you do research on if parts are easily available or are they compatible with the other brand? That’s my first or second concern when RC shopping.

Was that battery fully charged when you did that last run or was it drained from the last time you were racing it that might be the reason it didn't do the 80
Add stiffer weighted shock oil in the rear and it will keep the back end up under top speed. As well you can lower the suspension arm travel in the front and rear to crest a lower profile. And you’ll get about 3-5 more mph
What is a “short course truck”? Sorry I’m new. Is there also regular and/or long course trucks and what is the difference between 2S and 3S and how do I know if a car can take 3S? Sorry again if my questions seem silly but I’m new and trying to learn. We really enjoy your videos! Thanks for making them!

If anybody ever buys this and is looking for parts here in the states, Helion rebranded this exact same RC and called it the Helion Select 4. So if they have Select for parts available, then they'd fit right on this.

SCT kiting is a challenge. My Slash 2wd wants to be an airplane after I modded it. Maybe pull the lid off and do a speed run?

Laxxas can't hang at all these days. They have to use law to silence competition.
Arrma Senton for a SCT for $60 more will get 50mph.
I've sold all my Laxxas Trash but the single one that was my first truck. And I have way too much $ in it now to get any money back.

I think the reason the car goes airborne is because the cover doesn't go past the front fender and air goes right in and lifts the car up.

Love how simple y'all's review videos are. Good for purchase decisions. You do know, however, that a consumer grade GPS speedometer only measures horizontal speed. So flipping the car would not effect the measurement of top speed. If you put it on a rocket and shot it directly at the satellites at 500mph it would appear as if the rocket was doing a fraction of it's actual speed if anything at all.

It has a Bison frame, which means it's a Hellion, which makes it's awesome, Buy the Hellion replacement parts and RPM hops up's and whoop some Laxxis butt!!!!! I did that with my FS racing hydroplaning MT and it's awesome. Did it with my Bison too.
Wish someone (you two) would review the Pro version of this truck, the top tier option is amazing! It's called the VKAR V3 MASC 4x4.

I'm so sick of hearing about Laxxas and their crap attitude. Treating family friendly channels like yourself like dirt, it's just not a good look and it's bad for business. They're just bullies, but it'll catch up to them. Arrma is vastly superior in quality and instead of actually striving to improve and compete, they'd rather just sue other companies and try to throttle LHS. Keep up the good work though. Nice job guys. I have a 2wd nitro Slash and love it. I purchased it when there weren't a lot of other options out there. But now there are and Traxxas should realize that. They don't "own" the market anymore. After hearing what they did I don't think I would buy any more of their products.
