- 2018 Kawasaki Versys 650 - How good it is?
The Essential Guide to Any Motorcycle Traveler - Online Course: rtw-adventures.com/online-cou...
Finally I have good the chance to test this machine. It was obvious that it is not for off road, but it has everything what it needs to be the perfect touring motorcycle. It has 650 cc parallel twin engine with 69 H.P, nice adjustable suspension and powerful brakes. The tank is 21 l, which ensure 400km of range. The wheels are 17 Inch front and rear and as I said this makes it very good road machine. The building quality is very good and all the details are very well planed and made. The price in Germany is 9,000 euro without and 10,000 euro with factory hard cases.

This is a Great bike. I'm your size & been riding for 40 plus years & this bike has been very solid & dependable. I ride the highway & city. & also on the COUNTRY back roads & through the fields. Best all around bike I've ever had. That's saying alot because I've had many bikes through the years. I'm not saying this is a dirt bike. But it's kinda like the swiss army knife of motorcycles. Great VIDEO.
I just found your Channel - superb, ty for the uploads.
I've never driven a Kawasaki and never anything above 750cc, this is now my favourite bike/review, the power is ideal as is the weight and I've never felt the need for anything bigger than 750cc. I can see myself touring on one of these.
As a 50yr old anything heavier & I'd never be able to pick the thing up off its side esp. if loaded - keep it small(ish) with a big heart & I'm half sold.
I own a versys 2014. Old model. 4 years owning this bike, durability of this bike is owsem. Cheaper and trusted.
I have a 2019 Versys, and I've had it close to a year now. Very pleased with the bike. I'm in agreement with you, this bike is not meant for offroad. It's a good commuter bike, city bike, or winding roads in the country. It makes all the power you need and then some. The brakes are excellent. Fuel mileage is very good. For the price, this bike is a winner.
I agree with you completely. I just started riding at 52 and the Versys was my bike if choice to start on. Great for daily commuting on the highways.
Good, enjoy it!
Love my versys 650 2018, I just drove it back, you push it hard and it goes ZOOOOOOM!
Enjoy it then...
Wonderfully comprehensive review. Thanks for all your efforts Pavlin. Much appreciated!!
My pleasure!
Thank you for every review and great advices from the other movies. Your content is just exactly what I would like to know about motorcycle journeys. Wish you luck on your trip. Greetings from Poland!
You are welcome anytime Sebastian! Thanks for the wishes!
Thanks for the review of Versys 650, I wanted a review from you since long time as I own this bike for more than a year now. As you said this is not a offroad bike but after changing stock tyres to knobby one, it will do the job to some extent as far as touring is concerned.
Liked your honest review though I can't agree to all what you said.
Keep it up!
I will, thanks!
Good explanation on this bike, I just bought this bike Kawasaki Versys 650 last year November, it's very nice bike on the highway and every day long distance, city and mild cross country ride.
Once again a great test of another great bike. We do look forward to your videos from your upcoming trip to UK and Ireland. Live well and enjoy.
Thanks Dan! Videos coming soon.
I have a Versys 650 LT and I love it!. For touring on the road and the odd trail it is great. Also, for a adventure style bike, if you want to have some fun on twisty roads it surprisingly good!!
I live in the UK. Welcome, I hope you enjoy riding through our lovely country. Get off the main highways and enjoy! And remember, "on the left-hand side of the road"!
Left side of the road, this is something to remember...
Thanks for the review. This is also my first bike. Just got it in April and love it.
Great, enjoy it!
well done, honest everyday rider thoughts. Keep it going Sir, i enjoy the reviews you do.
Thanks for the review! have a good trip. Ride safe.
I have been waiting for this, thanks a ton
You are welcome!
Excelent review, Pavlin. The Versys continues to honour its name. With Pilot Road 4 tires, its the perfect pairing for mixed roads. I think it's the best touring bike ever, very comfortable for 2 people and luggage on a trip. I already owned 2, and after experimenting with other brands and models, I plan to buy the third soon!
lol pilot 4s on dirt road? better have an extra set of fairings handy
Hi, Pavlin!
As usual watching the video I have a feeling I have ridden the motorcycles myself, they are so realistic and honest! Thank you! Keep doing this useful task!
Ride safe!
Thanks Ivo!
Thanks Pavlin for another excellent bike review video. We are just back from a tour of Ireland taking in the Atlantic coast route and North West 200 Road Racing. Fantastic. Beautiful scenery and roads. You will enjoy. We were riding Versys 650 and 1200Bandit. Impressive 650... Well worth a test ride. Also, your English is perfect. Thanks, Maggie and Mack, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.
Maggie and Mack, thank you very much for watching! I look forward my to this beautiful country.
Great review, honest and straight to the point....big respect.
Thanks, man!
Great positive review. Good luck to your upcoming trip.
Thanks Tex!
Good trip to Scotland and tks for the honest review.
Thanks Antonio!
I liked your review, very honest. I have the 2019 Kawasaki Versys 650 ABS, and I think it's a great bike. I do not do off-road riding with it, except for my long gravel road to my driveway. For a highway bike and around town commuter, it's hard to beat. Great video, thanks! - CJ
Thanks for watching!
Another great review. Thanks for your channel, please keep up the good work.
I will, thanks Michael!
My son went with a motorbike around Vietnam and when he flew to Mongolia he got a horse and travelled alone for a certain time last year. He had the best time of his life there, meeting local people and enjoying the solitude in the mongolian desert.
Mongolia is a great place to feel the freedom.
Hi from fellow Berliner! And, coincidentally, a Versys 650 owner.
I totally agree, that the bike is not exactly offroad-worthy... STOCK. However, with some aftermarket parts (I installed a skid plate + radiator cover, removed stock drop-me-for-300€ front turn signals in favour of sw-motech stuff and installed Avon Trailrider on it, add chain oiler) it is very and very capable. Its short-based, which is both a plus and a minus offroad, it's suspension travel is sufficient for "grader" gravel roads like you've described, and while a 17 in the front, the disks are somehow VERY durable. Some fellas even manage to go "hardcore" on them, but imho, they are good for 80/20 or 70/30 usage, and if you want more, you'd have to install spoked ones.
Overall, a really nice machine, had a choice between it and 2017 wee-strom, and I found it better for everyday usage, than wee, but that's a personal opinion.
The price surprised me: last year it costed 8k without paninniers
Thanks for the detailed info! Enjoy your toy!
Hi UndeadBane, I have a 2014 Versey 650 that is ready for some new rubber. I was wondering how you like the Avon Trailriders? I would say I ride better than 90% road, less than 10% gravel and dirt roads. My other considerations are the Scorpian Trail or Conti Trail Attack. Thanks! Regards from Philadelphia, Rich
elitetileandstone I love them so far: they are really good on and off road (heavy mud is their undoing though) and promise really good longevity so far. In fact, I feel they are better on road, than stock plastic Dunlop crap it goes with.
I literally tortured all my friends and read probably everything in existence about the long lasting tires, and TKC70, Metzeler Tourance and Avon Trailriders were left as a 80/20 solution.
TKCs have really bad reports about wobbling of the front tire (like NOPE right away), plus for LE650E+F they are illegal in Germany (and Conti declined my request to make it as legal, as they are for C and D versions). Tourance and Trailrider both have good ratings, but Trailriders had much more positive ADV reviews - so I ended up buying them.
For 90% road, however, i would also consider Metzeler Roadtec 01 - everyone I know using it LOVES the tire, plus it's long lasting and won't let you completely down on stuff like gravel.
However, still, consider Avons - they've put a lot of work into that tire, and I like it personally on road too. Also, see earth roamers report on them - it was the last straw for me to buy them.
Motorcycle Adventures thanks :) I've got long way to go with upgrades to your level :)
And the suspension is just fine, once tuned - being roughly as big, as you, I had it tuned just a couple of clicks up the scale (doing that in a pro shop is a REALLY good idea), and it holds me really really well.
by the way, for the ones who'd find the stock windscreen to suck (like I do at 185): DONT set it to topmost position - wind will hit the top of the helmet + the "spoiler" effect from under-the-screen slit is all but gone.
Instead, LOWER it, so that the air is going on top of the shoulders - much less buffeting and more stable flow, at expense of bugs in the visor. Mine is now set somewhere around 2/5 from the bottommost position.
And one more thing on aftermarket parts, that's not evident from online reviews: if you are taller, than 180, Puig tall screen is a no go. Not only it looks like from a moped, but it also is aerodynamically weird, and creates a standing wave at the top 2-5 centimetres of helmet. Effect is the same, as if someone was hitting top of your head with a damn hammer. So, it lays collecting dust as a result :)
UndeadBane, Thank you for your in depth reply. I believe we have read all the same reviews on the Trailrider from Earthroaners and ADV Adventure.
I have also read about issues with the TKC 70's.. I've never had an issue with Metzler tires. But , they were always pure road tires. Back in the mid 1980's, the Metzler ME33 Laser and ME99 were the hot set up for sportbikes. I also had older Roadtecs on a 01 ZRX1200. They were really good tires.
Avon isn't really popular here in the US. I think I'm going to give them a spin (pun intended).I like the fact that they look like they are more dirt oriented than some of the competition. When I go for a Sunday morning ride, my friends we riding two new Africa Twins. I just need something with a little more traction than a worn out pair of OEM Dunlops, in order to keep up.
Thanks again, Rich
Nice and a clean review.
And certainly Versys is my type of bike !
Quality review. I have a 2012 versys and it ticks all the boxes for me.
Hi Pavlin, 1: You make a very good job, when testing the different bikes !!! You are a experienced rider and you know exactly what is necessary and what is needless . Don´t listen to the self-appointed "judges"!!! 2: The Kawasaki is a very good looking, modern styled bike with an excellent motor, but sorry, it is a plastic-bomber. 3: Good luck for your trip to Scotland, say hello to "Nessie". Come back in one piece, ride safe, Hans
Thanks Hans! I will definitely enjoy this trip and of course I will keep you updated!
Have a good trip and I can't wait to see your reportage from Ireland
I can't wait to see it ...
Excellent review! Thank you.
Nice video. Waiting for your new trip around Scontland and UK videos. Maybe my next destinations too, and every information is great.
You are welcome anytime!
I don't ride motorcycles, but i watch your every video :)
Don't waste time, get a motorcycle and start riding! :)
Cool! Maybe you have to try it...just once...
I have a small problem :) I am 2 meter tall :))) As a kid I tried dirt bike and i love it!
This isn't a problem, it is an excuse. Try different motorcycles, try a tall enduro and if you get one you can still raise the handlebars (and maybe the seat). :)
LOL, isn't there a smaller bike than a honda grom that we could suggest a 2m tall person? ;)
I have done a 20000 km trip around Australia on this bike and can confirm that his comments are spot on. Good review 👍
Thanks! 👍
12427.42 miles, for civilized people.
I really enjoyed the beginning of the film and your assessment of ergonomics. A great idea to set aside the camera and show how a guy with a specific size fits the motorcycle. I know that it can also be checked on the cycle ergo website. However, I prefer to see the example live. You must repeat this shot in the next motorcycle tests. Great work, keep it up!
Thanks Wiktor! I usually do this on every test. At least on the last 10 bikes.
In the V-Storm, Tiger 800, Tracer 700 tests, there were no shots where you put the camera completely to the side and you sit on a motorcycle. But I'm new here, so I have not seen all the tests yet. Maybe I am discussing this topic a bit too much, but it's just for the fact that I have the same height and similar weight as you, so when I look at you from the side on a motorcycle I see myself.
On some bikes I don't have enough time or I just forgot.
Great very informative video! Planning on upgrading to a 2016 versys 650 LT from my 2006 klr650
Good, so my mission is completed!
You have the right lot ride in the traffic as you like.
In Italy we are allowed to pass over cars in lanes.
Keep doing whatever you want
I will, thanks!
Nice review man!greetings from Philippines..
New owner of this very beautiful bike..2017 model..I am so impresed about this bike..Very beautiful, very good brakes, good torgue, enough power, very good for commuting and long trips as well..Its a very good vfm..
Great 👍Enjoy it!
Another honest great review!! Thanks.
My pleasure!
Just completed a trip to the Yorkshire dales and my mate was on his versys 650. It's a great bike.
Plus he got 70 miles per gallon that's fantastic.
Agree, very good travel bike.
No judging you from me, Pavlin. We all do that if we can. It's what makes bikes so good in traffic. And your style and videos are very pleasant.
Thanks!
My wife and I own a Versys 650. We have the LT version, with saddles, handguard etc.. we do 10 to 20 % off road, I'm sure the Vstrom and bikes with wider front tires will fell more maneuverable there. The advantage of having smaller tires helps provide better street and trwisties performance. consider taking them to unpaved road to give us ur honest opinion. Having said that. I'm a fan, appreciate your work and your review. Thank you
I cannot ride any of this machines off road. I would love to, but I cannot. They are demo bikes and that is forbidden..
I own a versys 650 too have been on adventure days and I have bben on gravel. When it gets too bumby and soft it would be nice with a 19 inch wheels. BUT I guess that 99% of all adventure bikes runs on asphalt. and on asphalt you want a 17 inch wheel in front.
Can we change 19" instead of 17" wheel on versys 650?
mont blanc yes, but the price of this conversion is equal to the price of the bike. I wish they made Versys with a 19 front though - everything else, from frame to suspension, is pretty mild offroad-worthy
My is 2017, pretty same color. No difference vs 2018. I just love it and ride.
Good, enjoy it!
Yes! -- been waiting for this video - thanks!
Here are some of my comments (after taking the versys on several multi-day trips):
1. seating position relative to pegs : its OK - but I found that I could ride about 100 miles and my knees would be a little sore.
2. seat cover - its good - but if you go to very hot places (like the desert) - be warned that any metal parts on your coat or gear that get hot can melt the cover - this happened to me! - and I still don't know exactly what caused it - but now I have some small melt-marks on the seat :(
3. suspension - fully adjustable - and works well when you load the bike down with gear.
4. suspension - not enough travel for really bumpy/rocky roads - take it slow and you'll be ok, but still not ideal
5. plastics - the black plastics near the radiator and bottom of the engine are surprisingly strong - I wiped out at low speeds twice on loose gravel roads that these plastics, while getting scratched up, seemed to protect things nicely. That said, agree 100% that better radiator and exhaust protection is a good idea.
6. blinkers -- these are designed to be a little floppy and resist breaking in minor falls ...but I still don't like them
7. range - fully loaded with gear (~40 lbs) - 200 miles
8. The gap under front fairing -- this is where you put all your wires when you add USB and heated grips :)
9. Foot brake/shifter -- these definitly need to be changed if you want to go off the pavement -- even the slightest fall when bend them all to hell
10. wind screen - I'm also 6'1 - and even with the windscreen in the top position it a tiny bit too short.
11. Power / Cruising - I love it - 80mph all day long no worries.
(ps sorry to our non-USA/Canada friends for lbs/miles figures :) )
a pic of my bike fully loaded in Death Valley California goo.gl/maps/NfccyYotyBk
Thanks for the detailed info!
Just love your review .. keep up
Great review as expected, thank you!
Thanks Ahmed!
Great review, was interested in that bike.
Thanks !
Pavlin, the empty space behind the front fairing is there exactly for the reason you say - so that you can put your hand there - so that you can change the headlight bulbs! This bike has two H7 bulbs which you can change without any tools, just put your hand in there and do some well-practiced movements. Being able to change a burnt bulb quickly at the roadside is a very good feature on an adventure bike.
Okay
Thanks nice review of Kawasaki.
Great video review! we here at VikingBags really appreciate your content! Keep up the good work.
Awesome! Thank you!
Great again!
Enjoy the North of Europe and have a nice whether 😎🏁
Thank's for another great review. Have a great trip to Scotland, enjoy the ride! Regards from Philadelphia, Rich P.S. I see a Yamaha T7 Tenere in your future.
Thanks man! Ride safe!
Love your reviews. Very informative. Im planing on getting a bike. It’s between this or a cruiser. I can’t decide.
Go and ride them both, then you will know.
Great Review Pavlin....Probably my next Bike.
Thanks!
Excellent review. Hello from Canada.
Thanks Jason!
thankyou for review ขอบคุณมากๆคับ
Thumbs up for comment about filtering!
Thanks James!
The roads in Germany are very similar to what we have in the states. Even the ramps that merge to the highway. Street lights are a little different, with the addition of the far side-of-the-road lights, kind of like in Washington DC. As always great review, you take the time to go over the small details but also straight to the point which really helps.
My pleasure!
Great mate...thanks for this video!
You are welcome anytime!
I ride mine everyday in city, highway and I took it off road on the weekends. Great bike and very reliable. The only down side for me is the seat which i find very uncomfortable especially if you set on it for long time.
Sat
Have you tried the “Versys seat mod”. Did a world of difference on my 300+km rides.
Thank you so much for the review! I was very excited when you mentioned you were going to try one. Don't knock it off road till you try it! (After a skid plate or a big rock will pull the muffler off the header which I did twice before I bought my motech skid plate.) The 17" front had me worried at first but after going on trail rides with husq 701's and other similar bikes the front wheel just doesn't seem as much of a hindrance as you'd think. I believe the angle of the front forks helps the front tire to bump up over things but this is just a theory.
I love your channel, I'd buy a T-shirt that says "The weight is always matter." I like that you try to keep things as practical as possible. I really woulda liked to see you open the throttle all the way up because thats the part of this bike that will really win your heart.
Thanks for the nice commend Davd! It way my pleasure to test and show you those bikes! I know that you can go off road with almost any bike, but when you have the right set in much easier. Ride safe!
I'll buy that t-shirt too ! love this channel :)
I rode 70 minutes north to a dealer (in Maryland, USA) about two weeks ago and was only able to sit on one of these, not ride it. I was surprised how manageable it felt even though I am 5'7" and 145 lbs. Nice-looking bike! Thanks for the review!
Hey Pavlin, thanks for great videos. I’m trying to decide between a Versys and tracer 700 for a commuter with touring capability. Watched both your videos and am no nearer deciding! Of course will test ride both but would love to know what you think.
Enjoy your uk trip Pailin you will love the roads and scenery up in Scotland just got back myself. As many have said if you need anything give me a shout
Thanks for the support! I look forward to this trip!
Exellent review!
Glad you liked it!
Excellent video 👍
Thanks!
Had this bike for 3 months. It was ok but felt a little too road based so swapped it for an africa twin.Best decision I ever made
Alan Mckay the 650 versys is a lot easier on the wallet than the Africa twin. But you do get what you pay for.
Nice video and honest bike!
Thanks!
All the best for you trip...may your rubber never leave the ground
Thanks!
Great video, thanks
You are welcome anytime!
Great review, if your passing Melksham in UK on your way to Ireland let me know I have the Tea on for you :)
Thanks Dean! It is not on my route, but you never know...
no worries, if you change you mind let me know, looking forward to seeing this trip
As always a great review, I am on my 2nd 650 Versys and love it, I have toured with mate's on larger bike's and have no trouble keeping up with them, I have bought a 650 bmw Xcountry for trips that include off road riding (taffy/dakar etc) as agree Versys not suitable and have a tzr 125 for track fun😉
Thanks!
My work mate has this bike and He is verry happy about it He uses it for travelling with his wife also around Europe. The only problem is the seat after allot of KM in only one possisizion you can not move
Yes, two level seats are problem on the long trips. Many owners realize that too late.
Nice review, yes Pavlin you can cheat as much as you want, for what we bay a motorcycle then :-)
Good luck for you trip and wish to see your posts.
Enjoy Riding,
Thanks man!
Greetings from India. To add on cost of ownership is also very good
Thanks!
My dream bike....
Good...stop dreaming and get one...
Motorcycle Adventures I am not afford....Plz giveaway
Great review pavlin,do you think the manufacturers of bikes are building for the shorter rider.
Maybe they should offer a choice of seat heights.
Shame your getting the negativity from some viewers, but you get them everywhere.at the moment it's dry and warm here in Ireland.
Hopefully it'll stay like this for you.👍👍
I bought a 2008 Versys with very low mileage really cheap a couple of years ago. Well-built no nonsense, reliable bike with easy handling but not really for off-road.
Agree
I do not understand people who critize you for traffic filtering rather than understanding these short bike reviews as a very valuable information for potential buy of a new bike Plus it's obvious that Berlin as well is flooded with the cars in the streets Pavlin thanks for these short videos! Pls pls pls do as well review also of Africa Twin Sports Adventure I 've heard few small negatives Waiting anxiously if they were right or not Cheers!
Thanks for the support Ivan! I already learned that it is impossible to make everybody happy. I will review the Africa later in the year.
Coming from Moscow, you don't know the meaning of "flooded" yet :)
However true, in the last two years there are CONSIDERABLY more cars.
This is a motorcycle review not traffic and bike riding instructions. If someone have a problem with this then they can change the channel. It is up to you if you wish to risk getting a fine for breaking the local laws. The way I see it is simple, as long as you are not posing any risks to yourself and the others around you then you are OK. In UK and many countries filtering is fully legal anyway.
Nice video. I doubt I will buy Kawasaki KLE 650. Bike is too expensive and for me bit uncomfortable. As you said before (and you were correct BTW) I will look into Yamaha Tracer 700.
Kind Regards
Thanks for the support Michael!
U also have my support, BUT its not ok to say " im not a German" since u live there and u are under the law of that country no matter what is ur nationality. :)
You are right, no matter where we come from we have to behave as humans!
Steve Smith: I must disagree with you. I am Polish-Canadian living in UK. I do live in UK but I am NOT British, and I never will be. I am happy in UK, I am part of British community but the fact is I am NOT British even thou I do live here. I do know British Law that applies to me (Traffic Act, NHS Access to Treatment, some building legislations) and I am not trying to even bent it, yet regardless of me being a part of British community as I am living here I am still NOT British.
You are combining two separate things and you are trying to apply a new meaning and you really should not. Respecting Law is one thing, living in some country is another thing and your nationality is completely different thing and none of these should be mixed in any way. When I am crossing different countries while I am on long trips I do have to respect local laws but I am not a part of any of these countries. Living in different place than the country of birth is pretty common and it does not mean anything. I am still being labelled as Poles, and it is nothing wrong with that as I am Polish, yet such statement is separating me from the society I am living with (Brits) and even thou OI am living in UK I will never become a Brit!!!!!!!!
Mate its not the point what ur nationality is called, i mean who cares. First of all we are all humans we have just some different names and thats it. Point is when u are in some country the law applies to u no matter what ur nationality is or ur religion. And its up to u to respect it or not, but saying stuff "im not from this country and that law doesnt apply to me because i can do that in my country", those are just not the facts, since law of that country is above. Maybe split laning in my country is allowed but if im living in Germany or im just passing, and they dont allow split laning, u are breaking the law. Simple example u have RULES in ur house, and someone comes and u tell them take of ur shoes since its how we do it here, and that person says "i wont do it cuz i walk in my house with shoes". :)
P.S. Im not from Germany no do i care about nationalities :) sry my english not best.
Hello. I want to say I enjoyed the video a lot, this is the bike that I am most likely going to purchase in the next few weeks. I intend to do some touring around my country (Romania) with it. I am about 90 kg and 186 cm in height, also I only have an a2 license. So, do you think this bike would be good for doing, let's say 300-350 kms a day for several days or would you recommend me something else?
This video is very helpful
I hope that many people will listen!
Good review
Thanks!
Wish you a great trip to the UK.
Thanks Marcel!
And drive safe. And LEFT. :-)
Greeting from Australia. Come to Australia and do a trip around the country...
I like the review I got you by about 50 or so lbs. And my point is i agree on smaller bikes. I have no problem handling a KTM 1190 because of my size and related dampening of suspension😁
Agree
Hi pavlin that space under clocks has been used by myself to mount a USB ...to the bar 'it's out of site and out of rain it's brillant..kawasaki.s . usb is silly money😣...have good trip I'm leaving england for north Spain. same time as you are coming to UK...shame could have bought you pint of beer in pub😉😉😉😉 cheers from dave..
This is good idea. Actually there is more than enough space to store even spare tire in. Good luck on your trip! See you next time...
I must ask this but you havent review any aprilia... Im looking aprilia pegaso 660 i dont know if they make it any more but i have friends that are saying good things about them.... Ty for reply
Great video mate, Don't Listen to those people, Your a Great Rider!!!! Cool as F☆☆k!!!
do you not unscrew the 2 bolts completely and adjust the windscreen to suit then? I'm suggesting this as there are 3 pairs of bolt holes and the bike you had the bolts were set in the middle pair of holes, surely if set in the lowest it would have made it taller? and the highest would shorten it?
It's a honest review I have a 2010 model did some mods for better ofroad capabilities like a switch to turn of abs. And ofroad tires tkc70.
Only bad thing I can find on mine is that there is no engine protector that does not mount on stock flimsy mounts.
Good to know, thanks!
Hy, your riding style is absolute ok.....👍😎 my god, some people here have problems
Well...
Thanks for the vid Palvin, u said something about foot peg position what is the right angle for dual purpose bike? How your body n legs should be positioned? I hope you know I mean. I ride a cruiser n my legs are in front of my body so most of the weight is on my lower back. Your advice?
I would say the legs need to be as straight as possible...
Nice Reveiw
Thank you!
IMO, this such rear shock is kinda nice looking but MAINLY -it is WAY easier to access and adjust the spring load, aside from the other control which has the knob. Forgive me for not having the correct words to draw quickly because I'm not an English speaker. I'm a loyal fan of your work - thank you!
No worries with the language - you know mine...
Motorcycle Adventures -I just found a video of ADV setup for this bike, showing a person ride it with 21" front wheel + a raised off-road fender. I don't know if I can put it here for you
So what specific bike do you prefer that's best for your desired adventure riding? That's lighter bigger front wheel etc? 😊
That was a nice review of an appealing motorcycle and I found it helpful, so thanks again, Pavlin. It seems like a very versatile bike (hence its name?) but I didn't like the engine/exhaust note very much and that would annoy me after a while. It didn't seem to have much 'character' either (in my opinion anyway) so it's not for me. I agree with the person who compared it with the Vstrom which is probably its closest competitor.
As for lane splitting (we call it filtering): it's a necessary evil but I still hate it, even over here where its legal. Give me the open road any day!
Cheers! 👍
PS. Good luck on your ride to Ireland, Scotland and England.... you didn't mention Wales but it has brilliant roads and scenery. Safe roads! 👍
Thanks for watching and for the good wishes! All the best!
Now that bike looks more like your kind of ride. With a few modifications... but I assume just not quite cutting it with the off-road elements. A bit heavy for me, but I like it. Not too sure on that offset mono shock. Odd look. Beautiful bike though. Shame you won’t be in southern England when you travel to Britain, I’d definately have a pint lined up for you mate. Great review. Thanks.
Definitely not for me, but nice bike. Save the pint for next time!
great dear sir !
I somehow feel the green and black colour scheme camouflage the contours of the fairing. Maybe its just me but I like the all black colour better
