YES, everyone wanted either a proper light that isn't just in one corner of the watch or excellent lume on all the indeces. This is truly a great solution, the best version of the casioak.
I own a GWM-5610U and that was my first G shock. I’ve been itching to get the casioak for a long while. This is definitely the one I’m gonna pick up. I’m ordering now lol. (I just picked up a Christopher Ward Dune C65 GMT why am I spending more money 🤣)
Positive LCD may have resonated better with the white dial, and made it useful too. The day marker could have been white as well with just a black pip. But a nice watch nonetheless ! It may be the Casio I am buying after 30years since last owing one.
I really like the Lume dial, I do not like the negative display though. While it does look nice, the legibility is just bad without perfect light conditions. So I do hope they introduce a version with a positive display.
I agree that the negative displays are harder to read than positive ones, but personally I don't think it is too big of a deal on these casioaks if you're thinking of buying one. Unless you have a job where you need to reference the second regularly, you probably won't even look at the LCD outside of changing the time or an occasional timer. If you like everything else about this watch, don't let that negative display hold you back from buying unless you see yourself using it a ton.
Return mine. Not even close to lasting all night. Doesn’t last long at all, not the dial at least. The hands stay glowing just as long as any other, but the dial is very disappointing.

fuego 🔥!! If it had a positive LCD, it'd be perfect for what it is. Missed opportunity IMO

Un g shock que muy probablemente compraría a pesar de no ser fan de la marca y que nunca he tenido, pero sí lo compraría en un futuro.
Thank you for this video. Question... Without using a UV flashlight, will the light charge up the glow on the dial at all?
Yes it will
Looks great…
But does that lume really last all night?
Casio neobrite lume has a reputation for fading fast.
I agree. It's still cool though as a gimmick. Based on this lume shot I will probably buy one today.
