Your military story reminds me of my experience. I was waiting discharge at Ft Lee and to fill my time I was asked to count the mattresses in a platoon. I presented my numbers and was told that they couldn't be accurate because they were too close to what they should be 😂

Any thoughts on Jon Stewart returning to The Daily Show? I was very happy in seeing him return and it gave me an excuse to watch the show again since I haven’t cared about the show since he left. It shocked me that he returned but I am extremely happy he did.

The last one was regarding a situation where a cat litter box was an emergency option for kids to use the bathroom in a lockdown and an active shooter situation. It had nothing to do with furry kids

The Army kept track of every last sweater and parka hood they issued me upon discharge, but failed to notice that they lost both their copies my enlistment documents and records of my travel advance being cancelled. But they definitely had bank records showing no payment (to me) for a travel advance that they had approved 3 years before and had not paid because it was not approved until after I was done travelling. And they had a record of the approval for such advance. Now the only conclusions that any rational person could possible come to is that; a) the guy who graduated basic training, graduated AIT, and served over 3 years afterward, had money for the Army college fund deducted from his pay foe almost 4 years, probably joined the Army and probably since he did, and since the GI Bill is not optional, probably qualified for it, and since he paid for it, probably was qualified for the Army college fund as well; b) since they had record of a travel advance approval after my travel was done, but no cancellation but bank records showing that it was not sent to me, that probably I didn't get it. On the basis of these two obvious errors on their part, which I had no way of knowing anything about, they denied my college fund and GIB benefits when I got out and tried to use them, luckily I had proof of my nor joining the Army and not signing up for or paying for the Army College fund being complete nonsense, but because they could imagine a scenario, supposedly, by which they were right in denying my benefits, I had to get my congressman involved and wait almost a year to begin getting the benefits. As for the travel advance, 3 years after I got out and 5 years after the travel advance was approved too late and thus not provided, they started garnishing my wages to pay them back for money they and I both had proof I absolutely did not receive. I never got that money back. Apparently I'd need a $5000 lawyer to get that $1,500 back.

Best grounds for a rant I’ve seen in ages. Stupidest clusterfuck imaginable- if you did a GoFundMe on this, I bet a lot of folks would kick in for a lawyer. “Thanks of a grateful nation”? More like “don’t let the door hit you on the way out”

Possible definition: Having so many causes of rage, they cross-agitate each other to numerous angry tirades and underscored mix-referenced points, it can take hours or even days before running out of the necessary base-line energy to cast out the aforementioned demons; said energy often dwindling earlier as a result of severe dehydration caused by the last of madness enhancing spittle.
