Honestly the ability to throw 1 gr is the main thing i look for, not the exact weightvof spool
you have a lot of choices these days of reels that have 1 gram castability
Can you cast a 1 gr jig with the dark wolf with magnet upgrade or clamber? Been looking for a reel that can.

I've had that reel for a while. Swapped out the lame plastic knobs for some daiwa finesse knobs. It's a good reel, casts really far. Only downside is brake adjustability. You don't really get the full range. Find your sweet spot and stick w it. It's better for heavier bfs stuff in my opinion
I got a Gomexus handle and knobs on the way

I have a haibo elite, and the weight of my elite spool is 7.9 grams.
about the same as mine and the others I saw
"On Paper" specs is like "J D Power initial quality" 😂 interested to see how these recent bfs CDM reels do in the long run.
probably just as good as all the other "non Chinese brands" who have their reels made in China
I like the 28mm spool bit better because the start up inertia kick-in much easier with lighter lure and you can accommodate for heavier lure by adjusting your cast which not a big issue for me, but that just me though
Doesn't the extra leverage provided by the line being farther from the axle counter-act that somewhat?

Well I havent casted the Elite yet. The build quality of the 2 are very similar but if I had to nitpick, Id say the Cormorant is built slightly better and is smoother, but that could be because of the knobs.

What are the main difference between the air and the elite?
frame material and spool size/weight. The Air is supposed to be for the ultralight lures while the Elite is supposed to be for long casting according to Haibo
I don’t see it better than the 16-22 Aldebaran bfs or the daiwa alphas or the ss air I going to buy the new Calcutta conquest bfs 30
Have u seen the new Ark bfs reel.
Basically they are the same reel only, but it use different brand name
of course. Ark sent me their Gravity reels to test before they even officially went on sale

I think Haibo is the manufacturer for ARK reels
@@jasonchristiansen755 I meant they sent me the Gravity G5 & G7, not the BFS. I made 3 videos on the Haibo Arise Air which is the same reel as the Gravity BFS. Go check them out
