- Apex Legends New Heirlooms In Season 21 Are A Ripoff as No Legend released in the past six seasons, a time period spanning over two years, has an heirloom. Luckily, leaks suggest Apex Legends has a plan for that. Unluckily, leaks suggest it will set you back $700. It seems, the leaked universal heirlooms will cost a similar amount, requiring players to buy out a 36-item Collection Event in order to get the new cosmetic. However, that’s not the only cost. The heirloom will then be customisable, and all the upgrades will set you back that same price again.

It had a lot of hope, been playing on and off for about 4 and half years, bought a few battle passes, bought about maybe 60 apex packs over time and with being level 378 I still have yet to come across a heirloom shard, but will probably update this later if I've gotten it by then@@cowley0118

I have 7 heirlooms and a ton of legendary skins for every legend and weapon.. if there was a way to refund EVERYTHING and never touch the game ever again i most definitely would.

it doesn't matter if they sell them again, the exclusivity has been taken away the moment they added the pk recolor and then the flatline recolor, more people engaged with actually buying the PK than people taking part in the challenges, so selling them is fair just not at 160 dollars. you can't say that its nice for them to release them for free with challenges but say its scummy to sell them because they were exclusive items. no matter which way you take this, they were exclusive if one way is scummy the other way is scummy, there are plenty of battlepass legendary skins that have been sold as recolors and even bundled with a battlepass weapon it just wasn't reactive but because it was a reactive its now a problem.

The heirlooms as mentioned can be a good way to go deeper into the lore of a character. As an example, maybe Maggie has brass knuckles as an heirloom. Maybe she twirls them around on inspect, but once in a while you get those rare inspects and she opens a a little hidden compartment in the palm support with a lock of hair, or even a drawing or picture. Hinting at that maybe once upon a time she was a mother, that is what she lost, what made her "mad" Maggie.
I think the artifacts are cool and all but there's no reason they should cost so much for all the cosmetics to get them when it seems half the cosmetics are like stickers and frames and holidays for filler to make it seem worth 300 dollars. Also a thought that I have is will the artifact shards affect the heirloom drop rate or if you get artifact shards before your guaranteed heirloom pack will that counter reset

Regarding the topic of reactive skins, you've captured my sentiments exactly. Despite assurances that the Battle Pass would offer unique, non-recurring reactive skins, it appears we've been misled once again.

This game could, and should, be so much more. Instead it just feels like EA screws it up at every turn. They sleep fine at night knowing they can just keep ripping people off with recolors and events where you have to spend 300 to get the ultimate reward.

if they think people are gonna buy recolors of tthe artifact dagger they are dead wrong. i even shelled out for the first one, though admittedly that had to do more with the skins i was forced to gamble for. i was at 200$ before i got the mad maggie skin i wanted. anyway, there aint no way im shelling out for more of the same heirloom even if i can swap the pieces. the only way it would be worth it is if you could change the shape and animations of the artifact danger which does not appear to be the case.

To be honest, I regret buying the FF sword even as a fan of the series. If I knew what it would have done to the content schedule I would have never bought it.
The universal heirloom is EA taking more from our pockets from an item that was already hard to get. At least the originals had lore behind them. If you play a certain character, you couldn’t wait till yours came out. These have no backstory no identity or depth behind them.🤢🤢🤮
