@@Derpferdler well yeah but gh live doesn't use the classic gh controllers so either way you are going to have to do game/software switching. But that comes with the plastic instrument games rabbit hole.
Damn, I gave my Wii U, 6 Fret and Copy of GH Live to my cousins, I suppose imma have to look for cheap Amazon used Wii U’s and old unsold copies.

Hey dude, I bought a new dongle, installed GH Live on my Xbox Series X all before I found out just now that I can't even play GHTV. I'm devastated as this video made me think it was back when it clearly isn't. I own a PC too, is there anyway I can continue earning achievements on my Xbox if I use the PC port? I have several achievements at like 90% completion on Xbox for the TV mode and no way to complete them from many years ago...
The only way to play on PC is with RPCS3 (PS3 Emulator), so your Xbox achievements/progress is irrelevant. You can start over and go for all trophies though with RPCS3

How good of a pc do I need to run this game on rcps3? I have a really old pc with a 2gb graphics card and 8gb of ddr2 ram. And a pretty crappy cpu too. About a 10 yr old pc with windows 10. Can I run it you think?
You need quite a decent PC to emulate PS3 games. If you have a jailbroken PS3, I’d recommend that method for the smoothest gameplay experience

I just bought gh 4 and there is no severs are up. Today is 7/23. but there many songs to learn. I suck. Hopefully after years of practice maybe then i wont not suck, lol.

PS4 emulator on pc and physical Wii u all guitars can be used on pc but the Xbox one receiver can't so you need to find a different dongle

I modded my PS3 with HEN firmware (there’s CZcams videos on how to set that up), and I log into psn with an alt account in case I get banned for logging in with a jailbroken console, and I can play GHTV Reloaded on console. They needed those microtransactions to pay off the massive debt they accrued from buying the rights to use hundreds and hundreds of expensive songs.
