I love this show, I will always love Y&R. I have watched this since the start. I remember when Terry Lester was Jack Abbott. I remember the first Jill. I remember whe David Hasselhoff was Snapper. Lots of great memories. I never want Y&R to end. I am very grateful to have been able to watch it all these years. I would love to be able to watch from the beginning again. Especially since I was in school from year 73- 80. So could only watch in the summer or school breaks. I can't believe I was watching Y&R at 11 years old. A lot of parents wouldn't let their kids watch it. In defense of my Mom, she new I had more sense than to live my life like the characters characters. I've only been married to one person. One child with that one person. Maybe the characters taught me a lesson about how not to live my life. Don't get me wrong I love the characters .
I wish CBS would release all seasons of all there daytime soaps!! Condensed if need be? At least from 1970 through 2000!;). A lot of us urn for those classics. I’m frankly sick of reality tv. I want fantasy and glamour again!!! Who cares if there not culturally revenant today! There’s plenty of us Baby boomers and Generation X who would sign up!;)
@@michelleroberts6597Yes but maybe The Bells wouldn't allow it or CBS/Columbia aka Sony. They should take a page from Proctor & Gamble who released Guiding Light DVD's and in The UK Time-Life did Infomercials for Coronation Street (1960-Present) where they did spotlights on characters.
The scene wtih Michael was amazing! I wish Cathy, Chris & Carrie did that with Corrine & The Grandmother. That would have been the best form of revenge.
When this video was made, he was indeed leaving. EB and TPTB clashed over a salary dispute and as a result EB left the show. However, TPTB realized how important he was to keep around, so they made a deal with him so he could return.
Nikki was pregnant with Jack's child when they were married and she lost it. Keemo was the son didn't learn about until he was full grown. They created a whole Vietnam story arc for Jack years ago before Kyle was even born. I forget how they wrote Keemo off the story.
Sorry to say that believe it or not once the.older characters resign from that show,the soap going to lose ratings,what you expect! His soap as been airing since I was a small child & here i am in my 60's now it,s time for any of those older heads to go on with their real lives out of the spot light! As fans we should all be g reatful! That the soap aired this long! The memories are what counts! & I truly pray that their lives in real life isn't complicated & messed up as it appears on the soap"aol...😀😊 if it is all I can say is dear"God help your children's all that's called by His name: good luck guy's in your real soap of life!(shalom)"";
Dian Broadwater Even with older characters on this show was lost a large portion of its audience. Times have changed and soaps aren’t written like they once were leaving people not interested anymore. And you’ll think with all the streaming services now ratings would be up, not really soaps simply aren’t good anymore. There needs to be fresh ideas now.
@@a.b.sproductionsllc I agree but I hated when they cancelled some of the soaps like Another World, All My Children, One Life To Live, As The World Turns and Guiding Light. Instead of working on the writing and coming up with fresh new ideas networks choose to make way for boring talk shows and reality shows.
In today's world soaps are hard to get a new generation to watch. My line is that when I watched soaps they were no cable. No internet. No Hulu. No Netflix and no Amazon streaming. A cell phone is a soap opera for a younger generation vs. the one's that are remaining on the air
When Victor got mad you could feel it through the TV.
I really wish that CBS would reair entire "Dungeon" store arch. It was Victor's first appearance, and he was really, really evil.
I wish CBS would reissue entire seasons or at least the best of each decade for TYATR on Bluray.
