I had a Wartburg two stroke car many years ago, it had a free wheeling mechanism for going down hills. Great bodies and strong chassis. The engines were easy seized if you weren't careful how you mixed the oil with the petrol.
Needs an expansion chamber on the exhaust pipes. You'll get more power that way. I'm currently designing a 3D printed engine that vaguely resembles this one. Only it's got a cooling fan and cowl because it's air cooled, and it's only 36cc. I'm going to try and see if I can get it to run off of compressed air.
@TommyWylie i agree ,its a simple engine and easy to fix , but i realy get annoyed when i hear that wartburg and trabant are "the best cars in the world " the best cars aren't yet made ! not even one car is perfect

Sounds more powerful than it actually is.
If you put a proper expansion pipe it'll probably bend a rod if not careful

@@jaggass If made properly then an explanation pipe will not only draw fresh mixture from the carburetor but also supercharge it a little bit in a way

2-Takt-Sound und -Geruch ist einfach mega für mich. Deshalb habe ich auch 2-Takt Roller von Peugeot und 2 Standmotoren (Fichtel&Sachs und Rotax).

get the fatty pipes (expansion chambers) + shave the head + get some good carbies + set up advanced ignition timing = 100 and more horse power.

the pulley on top of the cylinder head drives a shaft with a cooling fan for the radiator located behind the engine.
