Another point about antiperspirant a lot of people don't know! The aluminum molecules in antiperspirant are too large to be absorbed by your skin and make it into your bloodstream. Fun fact: I always take a bath before bed, I am using Korean toner in the body and face when damp and then follow quickly with a blend moisturizer. I was always using my deodorant then and even if natural, they always worked better for me (all of them) when I left them dry completely and putting them on after my bath and creams at night. If I forget about them, nothing works.
Question about the moisturizer tip. I take topical derm mediciations should I do that within five mins after showering or should I moisturize then use my topical derm meds? Thanks for the tip btw

Thank you! You can let it air dry during the day but if you struggle with yeast build up I recommend doing a quick blow dry at least at the roots just to keep the moisture off the scalp (even you arenât completely drying it that way).
And now people mistake their normal deodorant for an actual antitranspirant that you can only get at the pharmacy. The stuff in stores that's labelled antitranspirant isn't actually that.
Tip #1 is clearly from a blond who doesnât shave đȘ during the morning shower. If she did, sheâd know you canât get a close shave with a layer of antiperspirant on. You have to apply AFTER. Have never seen this doc before and will never watch again.
I sweat crazy at night, my hard water hurts me when showering and i don't want that trapped against my skin, and mt hair is more manageable smooth, and less frizzy when styled wet đ idk why im like this đąđąđą
I didnât know antiperspirant at night would go in your sweat glands and prevent you from sweating whereas deodorant prevent odor đź itâs in the name too đźđźđź
Iâve heard people say to put on moisturiser when your face is still slightly damp from the shower. Does this do anything at all or is it less effective? đ
Question, so I apply my retinol after showering and drying my face. Then I wait 20 minutes to let it 'soak in' and then apply my moisturizer after. Should I change this to have less of a time so that I can apply my moisturizer sooner after the shower?
If that works for you it's all good. You could also do the retinol sandwich which means you use the retinol on top of a layer of moisturiser and you put another layer of moisturiser on top of the retinol. It's so good when you have issues with flaky and irritated skin.
Also if you have to apply antiperspirant at night after a shower but you also can't go to bed with wet hair.... doesn't really add up. It feels like a losing battle tbh. My hair takes HOURS to dry and I can't stay up half the night just because I "should" like what am I supposed to do?!
I wish you would urge people to use a deodorant and not an antiperspirant because antiperspirants almost always contain aluminum which is highly toxic. And with antiperspirants, you get a double-whammy because not only are you APPLYING aluminum into your skin, you are preventing your skin from REMOVING aluminum from your body which is done by sweating and other means. To learn more, read 'Imagine You Are an Aluminum Atom' by Christopher Exley.
Not to be argumentative but what is the difference of your wet hair barely moving when you sleep to wet hair dripping down your body for hours most likely for me to be in a bun to get out of the way?
but if i have to do my whole skincare routine after washing my face, and moisturizer is the last step, how do i get that all done in 5 mins before my face dries?
Anti perspirant at night is all well and good but when you shower in the morning you are simply removing it anyway and need to reapply it. So surely it defeats the purpose?

I understand regarding applying moisturizer while your skin is still damp, but what about when applying tretinoin or an AHA/BHA? In order to avoid irritation, isnât it more ideal to apply those on a dryer skin surface? Seems like a bit of a catch 22.
You put it on after the moisturizer dries down
Your sun screen goes on last, over the moisturiser
@@annbateman9954Sheâs talking about exfoliantsâŠâŠ they go on before moisturizing.
Thanks doc
But sweat is beneficial for the body why i need to block it?
You do not need to
You don't have to. But if someone wants to, this is advice for it.
Thank u for the information
Thank you
Honestly, Iâve never thought of that! Will try tonight
The moisturiser thing works for lip balm too. I need to lick my lips first if I want to get any relief from lip balm.
I'm so sweaty i use antiperspirant in the morning and at night lol
You completely confused me at first, I thought 'wait, I have never heard of using an antiperspirant under my eyes'. đ
lmfaoo same here
I put my antiperspirant on at night because most are 48 hours and I just forget to do it in the morning. Didnât know I was actually supposed to be doing that!
Confirmed, this does work
Ty! BUT.. Imagine when youre in high humidityâŠ. Ugggh, nah, Im good, thatâs my sweat from last night. I personally could not.
First I thought your comment says this does Not work. Hey, again TYâ€
Im surprised i knew these tips. Yay!
I always wet my face so itâs damp before I moisturize! It feels wrong not too plus I feel like it absorbs bettter
I have oily skin but I always like using products for dry skin. If my skin barrier is messed up I get acne. My skin likes being greasy I guess.
Question about the moisturizer tip. I take topical derm mediciations should I do that within five mins after showering or should I moisturize then use my topical derm meds? Thanks for the tip btw
Soo mom always said to dry our hair before bed time bc we have cultural superstitions about how sleeping with wet hair can ruin your eyes⊠not sure about that but itâs not really comfy anyways !
My parents use those deodorant crystals đbut I canât use the hardcore deodorant anyways bc it makes me feel really âstuffyâ like over heated lol. So I donât usually wear if Iâm home đ
IM LEARNING SO MUCH. I always sleep with my hair wet and I have such a problem with yeast buildup on my scalp if I go a few days without showering.
So, can you leave your hair damp during the day and let it air dry or do you recommend blow drying every time?
Thank you! You can let it air dry during the day but if you struggle with yeast build up I recommend doing a quick blow dry at least at the roots just to keep the moisture off the scalp (even you arenât completely drying it that way).
What mascara did you use??
Dr sam ellis thanks for this video †xx
When do you put on your antiperspirant if you shower in the morning then?
Iâve never seen sharper features in my life I always think is this real ? Is this filler ? I am in awe
Filler in the cheeks and chin.
@@doeeyes2 crazy
I take showers before bed and in the morning so wouldnât the antiperspirant just be washed off when I shower in the morning ?
What blush and bronzer are you using
Oh that's why if I shower at night and put my antiperspirant on it works better than when I shower in the day time! đ±
If I shower in the morning will the perspirant still work?
And now people mistake their normal deodorant for an actual antitranspirant that you can only get at the pharmacy. The stuff in stores that's labelled antitranspirant isn't actually that.
I've applied moisturiser to wet skin for years.
Tip #1 is clearly from a blond who doesnât shave đȘ during the morning shower. If she did, sheâd know you canât get a close shave with a layer of antiperspirant on. You have to apply AFTER. Have never seen this doc before and will never watch again.
I call that, "sealing in the juices"!
I sweat crazy at night, my hard water hurts me when showering and i don't want that trapped against my skin, and mt hair is more manageable smooth, and less frizzy when styled wet đ idk why im like this đąđąđą
What kind of scrubs are those
Dont use antiperspirants! Tixic crap!
Switch to something like nopong.
Wow, you look exactly like the actress who did the nun character but a younger and prettier version of her
I sweat just as much at night đ
I didnât know antiperspirant at night would go in your sweat glands and prevent you from sweating whereas deodorant prevent odor đź itâs in the name too đźđźđź
Why would i block my sweat glands during the night?
I'm always using antiperspirant right after my morning shower
Iâve heard people say to put on moisturiser when your face is still slightly damp from the shower. Does this do anything at all or is it less effective? đ
Yeah, that's fine if your moisturizer works with it.
Yummm aluminum in the pores.
I sweat the most at night. Always haveâŠ..
Wait, people, don't put antipersperant on at night?
Does an anti-perspirant have metal in it?
so if i apply antiperspirant at night, can i still shower in the morning or do i have to bathe before bed?
For sleeping with wet hair i will add chronic pharyngitis in the mixđ
Let your hair fully dry ALWAYS, even before putting it in a bun or ponytail to prevent scalp acne đ€ź
Cleans your face in the shower. If you can't use the next steps in 5 minutes, you might be using too many unnecessary products.
You're using all my makeup products đ
what mascara is this?
Anyone recognise the mascara she is using here?
Anti perspirant at night is all well and good but when you shower in the morning you are simply removing it anyway and need to reapply it. So surely it defeats the purpose?
Not if you use the right one. I use Certain dri.
Sometimes I forget that what I think is common sense is usually not, because I am certainly not a dermatologist but I view literally everything she has said in the video and part one as common sense. Anyone else?
So we can use both an antiperspirant and a deodorant !
Why would you not want to sweat
So you don't smell. You also sweat all over your body so using antiperspirant on just your underarms is just fine for you
Can we apply moisturizer after antiperspirants?
Dry underarms?
@@moonlitskylight5740 dry but sweaty hands
I sweat the most at night. Itâs quite annoying. Must sleep with fan on high.
Why did you film while applying your makeup?
Because it's a trend.
But I thought moisturiser was the last step I'm so confuzzeled đđ
It is. How many products are y'all using that you can't put moisturizer on in 5 minutes?

Yes, if you use the right one.
your fillers were injected wrong - they protrude around the temples (typical mistake)
