- I took this video after the gear on my 1956 MF TO-35 got stuck. I had pulled up on the gear shift lever while shifting causing the gear to remain in reverse with the lever stuck in first.

you have more than likley one set of sliding gears out of sequence open up oil fill and see which set move then try to py the other set forward or backwards went on several service calls on these when working for MF dealer it can happen on new tractors cause is shifting to fast david brown were close to fergies but had heavier rail detents you almost needed two hands on shifter

Help !! I have a 204 work bull n mine wont go in 1st the shifter wont move left in N at all just 2nd and 3rd i have reverse on the pedal but i would really like to have 1st gear any ideas ?? Thanks guys

I have a 57 TO35 with the same problem. How did you get it unstuck?
All I did was stick a big screwdriver in the transmission fill hole and moved the gears around until it unjammed. I made this video so that next time I could try to put it into the gear that the lever is in fist try.
