Cool comparison video, both vaders are nice, i've just ordered 40th anniversary Vader from Sideshow together with og mando thankfully cause it just went sold out this week.

That's a very nice set and the good thing is that Vader comes with the full plastic glove unlike this ANH version.
@@GemiiToys Yeah that was brilliant the Vader from the Tarkin pack is absurdly good ,too bad it cost a fortune(1300 bucks on toys wonderland🤣)great choice though...

What a coincidence, last night I removed the batteries out of my ANH Vader and ESB Vader (first release)
I'm a Darth Vader fan so I gotta collect them all (original trilogy only) all we need now is ROTJ Vader.
By the way few years back I bought my ANH Vader at a comic con, he was my very first Hot Toys that got me collecting 1/6 figures.
All Hot Toys Darth Vader figures are nice pieces. Wow, you really are a hard core Vader fan!

ROTS Vader is my dream,so underrated...
I wish the ESB helmet looked more faithful tot he ESB helmet…the ROJ qs is a perfect match and should be almost identical to ESB minus few superficial details , but the ESB mask is off and the dome is badly angled. :( but I still like it.
Yeah it’s not perfect but like it as you do. Really enjoy the ESB Vader still.
Hey man thanx for the comparison... I would like to know how your experience has been with Vader's material since I see that it is an imitation of leather, what is most often ruined in hot toys figures...
Thank you 😊 Actually I had this Vader for about 4 years and no problem whatsoever. Even the gloves, which I've seen many people have problems with I had no issue.

Hey, wanted to ask, are the hand swappable between figures because I wanted to see if I buy the ESB gloves and put it on my ANH not sure if it’ll work.

A New Hope hands down!!!! The Vader I REALLY want is the Revenge of the Sith Darth Vader with symmetrical helmet, is chestplate attached to the costume not held on by straps, the proper mental, two head sculpts one of the helmet obviously and one with Anakin's freshly burned head sculpt. Because they definitely got Hayden's face down to a T. The Revenge of the Sith Anakin is spot-on and the two of these posed together with just look so freaking cool!!!
After having the ESB Vader for a while really don’t like the shape of the helmet so have to agree with you.
Is the ESB Vader suit removeable, thinking of ordering a custom replacement using real leather

Great video! How do you mantain the fake leather in neat condition? I just got a vader and that materials scares me a bit. This is my first HT :)
Thank you! I don't do anything special really. Just keep my figures in a room with no exposure to sun light or extreme temperatures.

The ESB Vaders dome is unfortunately too angled back and doesn’t match the prototype. That’s my only gripe w the ESB version …the steepness and size of the mouth is a whole other issue.but it looks great when the dome is off
Yeah, the helmet is not perfect but to me is the best 1/6 scale Vader along side with the Rogue one version.
I have both in box, and will unfortunately sell one of the 2 soon. For the ones who have both abd opened them, Which one should i keep?
I kept the ESB version longer but eventually sold both.
I own these two and i can say without any doubt that the ESB Vader is by far the superior one.
The mms 279(ANH)is so too big is almost looks fat,the gloves are horrendous and the leather tend to fall apart very quickly...the quality of the figure in general is horrendous and the sound featute is absolutely useless since you have to swich the button from off to on every 15 min to reset the batteries.
If we add the fact that everytime you will use the soud feature you have to partially remove part of the upper suit and is really upsetting cause the most you manipulate the figure clothes the more it will fall apart and everytime it will ruin the pose.
In presence looks very cheap for being an Hot Toys figure.
The Mms 572 or 452(first version)is by far the best 1/6 Vader we have right now.
The body is well proportioned,the mask is amazingly sculpted the fabbric suit is fantastic,the plastic gloves are really well done,the base is fantastic,the only issue i have with this figure is that the helmet keep pop out very frequentely when you repose the figure.
I love the ESB one,i think is Vader most legendary appereance,the one figure i will never sell!
Pretty much feel the same way you do about these two pieces. (Tried that sound feature on the ANH once and what a gimmick that was) Which is why my definitive Vader is this ESB one. Probably the most iconic Vader posible.
I do have my eye on that Obiwankenobi battle damaged version must say. Too bad the series didn’t live up to its name…

I ve already pre ordered cause i love Hayden Christensen,his Anakin from ROTS is my fav Star Wars character of all time,i was 12 when Rots came out and since then i ve always dreamed about Hayden returns.
So to saw him under the damaged mask was incredible for me..i can say after ESB Vader it comes the Kenobi one👍yeah i agree the series had some major flaws but as a prequel fan i loved it more than i hated it😅the two of them sparring,and the freaking Qui Gon who was the first character i ever loved since Phantom Menace came out when i was six yrs old...man the feelings..

I just saw it on another video….the lid opens from the bottom and flips up. Pretty neat way to present the contents ….I kind of wish they had this packaging before I bought mine.

I snapped an ankle peg on my ESB Vader trying to get it to pivot. Not a happy camper.
