@AllyDeLarge Well in the book Louis LOST his brother, in the movie they changed it to him losing a wife and newborn infant. Also in the book Lestat was involved in Claudia's death and he tried to save Louis while letting the other vampires murder claudia and Madeliene. Armand and Louis actually spend years together after Louis burned down the theater and killed the vampires. There's a lot more that was changed. Oh and Lestat never bit the interviewer at the end.

After watching Castlevania on Netflix , it occurred to me that the Vampire Chronicles could be off the chain if done with animation. Castelvania is based on old video games I never played. The Vampire Chronicles could be awsome ad an animated series if done right !
@AllyDeLarge Correct she did write the first draft of the script, but Neil Jordan went in and rewrote the script completely, but Anne got "sole" credit as it was writers guild rules and regulations. That's why she explained in this video that she didn't like some of the changes.
@Dank951 I wasn't talking about things that were changed... I was talkin' about specific details, like the bloody tears, that didn't make the movie. She mentioned that once, that she didn't like the fact that the vampires weren't cryin' blood tears! She wrote the script, so many of those changes you mentioned were made by her.

What did you think of the musical Lestat? I don't suppose you could convince them to release the cast recording for those of us who would like to listen to the songs? I thought Drew Sarich was amazing as Armand, even though he doesn't look at all like the Armand in the books.

I myself loved the Lestat musical, in it's San Francisco form... Not the New York version...

I wonder what are the things she didn't like... I know one of them is the fact that Louis didn't cry blood at the end of the movie.
