Just a reminder that fans attend games to see the PLAYERS not the umpires. If you’re going to hold players to such high expectations, their on field counterparts need to be held to the same standards. An umpire screws up, he’s held accountable just like a player. A player doesn’t touch an umpire, an umpire doesn’t touch a player. A player doesn’t point at an umpire, an umpire doesn’t point at a player.
Although I will admit there were a few instances that I liked where the player did something wrong and he’s not even arguing it. He’s got that look of “that’s right, I did that. And I’ll do it again.”

I read a story where in either 1981 or 1983 when Angel was an A ball rookie umpire in Florida, he was jumped by two drunk angry fans for his bad performance and beaten. This doesn't speak well for major league baseball because of the fact that the umps Make questionable calls and there is no one to check them. Surely you could have it that as long as you don't direct it, you can say it? E.g: Screaming "that was a shit call!" while walking back to the bench?

MLB players, coaches , and managers need to completely ignore the umpires. Umps want to be a part of the game rather than officials, don't let them be. After exchanging line-up card, don't have another word to say to them. Don't argue balls and strike, check swings nothing. On the other hand don't talk to them, look at them. Don't offer help when they get hit by a foul ball, nothing. all of their dramatics when calling a third strike, all to be a part of the show, BS. Totally ignore them and the BS will stop. They will learn the strike zone, or be reported. Start protesting more games, just to be a thorn in the side. Just don't talk to the umps. I realize that not all of them are bad, but they all belong to the same union and should be treated the same way. Have a nice day.

With today’s technology we do not need the home plate umpire to call balls and strikes. But, do we want computerized umpires calling balls and strikes?

A handful of these are just not enough info to see if it is a good ejection or not. with that said. most of these are equipment violations, arguing balls and strikes, showing up the umpire (showing where the strike zone is by drawing on the ground is ejectable look it up) as well as chirping at the umpire from the dugout. all ejectable offences. I even noticed a few catchers who were lucky they did not get ejected for touching the umpire.
