It was intentional. He's done that a few times when fast guys are on first, getting them at 2nd and putting slower guys on. It's a smart play actually.
2 minutes in and there's nothing to show WHY the ejections were made (valid/invalid) You get a play, maybe 2 pitches and an ejection?? How about some context
Cricket players catch balls bare handed literally every time they field the ball, why is it when in baseball a player grabs the ball barehanded is it like "ooooooh wow barehanded omg that must have been so difficult"
I've had these happen... I work as a HS umpire... runner on second 2 strikes.. pitch is behind the batter... the runner broke on first move.. catcher moves to catch the ball behind the batter except that it hits the bat... the catcher gloved the foul tip (strike 3.. out), and commences to throw down to third where he nails the runner.... Sometimes you just can't make these plays up...
Having played baseball many years myself as a catcher, I can tell you, getting hit by baseballs ranges from barely feel it to surprisingly painful. It all depends on where you get hit, even a slightly different place on the arm can have different results.
As someone who played left field, 3rd base, and catcher... I can say the most fun I had was catcher. Every play comes to you As a catcher.. Worse play seeing a kid getting hit in the face by our hardest pitcher. Blood all over. I met him a couple years later and found out he lost 2 teeth Funniest play was a wild pitch that hit the bar of the backstop and came right back to me. Runner took off for 3rd base. I threw it sidearm which put lateral spin on the ball. I watched it curve back toward the runner and hit him in the head. He was fine but it was funny
Theirs going to be one person who when he gets hit in the helmet with the throw back to the pitcher he’s just going to fall down close his eyes and smile
the clips at 0:19 & 1.:27 are called a Detached equipment violations rule allowing all base runner to advance 1 base because a player can not use his hat or mask to touch a ball ( rule 506(b)(3)(E)
A lot of these, you cut them off too soon. The reactions are priceless, but I don't get to see them. Super frustrating.
I don’t think the Vladdy one was an error because it’s either you take one out or 2 outs

The first base coach at 2:55😂

Baseball insider, Your videos always brighten my day, so I subscribed!
OMG brother Thank you very much
I wish all the balls that hit umpires, would have been Hernandez
Baseball announcers are particularly stupid.
Way to go Ladies.
Looks like they're taking lessons from soccer players....
😂

How bout Tom candioti knuckle ball..it was nasty
Just imagine if these guy played hockey…too many are just like soccer players
That utley a-gon catch in foul ground is ooooh m g chefs kiss 6:36
2B and SS are a different breed, man.
It always amazes me how Americans get so excited by a game that schoolgirls play in England.
Well.. the same can be said about “football” and every other sport
Is true
Also, who's the last Bri'ish schoolgirl to make $700 million (£559,447,000??)
Troll
Englishmen are too weak to play at the mlb level. Stick to soccer
😂4:49
Love kislux the way you show it! You really focus on showing off the bag. I don't think any other CZcamsr can show off bags in as much detail as you.
Thanks for your comment
Looked like the ump was smiling a little bit when the catcher threw the ball at the other guys
😂

I feel bad for the empire
😂
Darth Vader?
There was this one time I was ALSO forced to sit at a game because my boss was "treating" my crew for a job well done. I fell asleep.
Yeah
"It hits the base, that's a base hit"
🥇
Under Rule 9.05(a)(3), if the batter reaches base on a batted ball that hits a base and bounces away from everyone, it's a base hit.
1:05 the way he looked up at the batter🤣
Announcers who don't know the difference between interference and obstruction..
Thrue
Can’t see clock. Re do with circle on clock

2:13 I do love to see ball boys (people?) that have their head in the game, and knows that they have to gtfo before the UMP signals that it's fair.
It's amazing how many outfielders can't count to three.

I somehow managed to fall asleep at a Packers game once. I was like 28 too.
If I'm a major league catcher, I'm not using a cup. I'm using a bucket.
😂
4:55....not including Kevin Mitchell's amazing barehanded catch in this video would've been a crime. Thank you.
Never was a natural?.. Lifts weights and works out.. but never a born gifted player.
if Mr Hernandez is the ump ??? theres question of luck or not??
😂
lucky or not???? depends if Angel is the ump or not?
I think Angel is just hollywoods makeup artists playing with Frank Drebben...
Should be a pegging rule in baseball. Should be like kickball. Hit the runner they r out.
Is out!

The same with getting spiked and ran into
Some of these clips hurt me when I saw them
😂
I want to feel bad... why don't I...???

Most of it was just bad baseball with interjections of pure luck.
😂
Do not show this to young kids--- they'll never play baseball.
😂
Agreed, let them learn the hard way like the rest of us 😂
'Baseball Oscar Awards.'
😂
6:55 that was a fair ball. LoL. Crazy, but true
Yes 😎
Yes, it was. All day long. I wish that clip was a little longer. I'd like to hear the announcers' explanation for why they thought it was a foul ball.
0:57, you can hear him say "I caught it!"
Yes
Too bad all of those umpire hits weren’t Angel Hernandez.
😂
@@Baseballinsider hit Angel hard and hit him frequently!
Its insane how he hasn’t gotten hit once in his career
@@serious310paintball unfortunate, isn’t it?!?

Thanks bro great info 💪
What about the clip at 4:37
The only good umpire here was the ones holding the catcher up. Everyone else just started at the players or not looking at them lol
😂
yep 8:02 he acted fast and did a great job when he saw the catcher unsteady. Nice work and reflexes.
And they call baseball a non- contact sport. Lol
😂
