Hey Sam! thanks for this review! I am writing on a CHERRY MX BOARD 3.0S, I really like the sound of it.
What do you think about it? I've seen that you've reviewed it.
To be honest, I like that it's made out of aluminium, but the software is so bad. What was your experience?
What keyboard TKL or 75% do you recommend?
Hmm I would say for normal/office use, Cherry works fine. But if you want a more customizable/fun keyboard that you can really make yourself, getting a custom mechanical keyboard can be the next step. For a TKL or 75% there's plenty tbh but you can try something like the Leobog Hi75 or Zoom TKL to start out.
@@itssamueltan I find those to be a bit too expensive. Is there anything cheaper? When will you review the GMK87?
The sound of this is amazing for how much the price is.
Yes it sounds great for the price
hey for the sound test was that just how it sounded on the mouse pad or does it sound different when on other surfaces bc if so I may get the womier sk71 as it also sounds good
Hey it sounds 97.59% similar on other surfaces so don't worry
@@itssamueltan Alr thx for the info reason I ask is bc I want a good keyboard to use for everything and I want it to be good sounding you should ngl do a video on using the keyboard on different surfaces
hey sam, hows the finishing coating feels like? Does it feel powdery?
Hmm it's anodised so not powdery feel, it feels like bare metal/smooth
@@itssamueltan thanks. I was afraid the quality might be like M71.
Got the keyboard loved it but then the more I played on it I found out that the number keys don’t work and I can’t load there key binds software
Try double pressing the Fn Key it switches the Esc row to (F1 to F12) and back to the numbers.
Do you know how to set the knob to control the volume? For me it only works to control RGB
Try holding it down for a few seconds
how do you edit the sideglow rgb?
FN + Spacebar
@@itssamueltan can I not set custom colors in the side rgb?
How many hours until the battery empty when using 2.4 Ghz with backlight off?
Around 90 hours or 2 weeks of major use. It's quite a big battery at 4600mAh
@@itssamueltan ok thank you so much bro
If I’m being honest I got one and the quality is right where I expected it to be, the case is kinda rough but decent. The only thing I didn’t like was how soft the screws were, I had to be super careful when installing and removing them and they started to strip just on removal. They also don’t give you a little allen key to remove them like other keyboard companies so I had to use my own tool and not everyone has the correct size. Otherwise it’s pretty alright for the budget
Hey I actually had a similar experience too, my motorised screwdriver almost stripped the screws so I had to use a manual one and be careful too.
@@itssamueltan glad I wasn’t in he only one! I had to get a whole screw removal set to get a stripped one out! 😅
But your review was very good and straight to the point, been finding myself viewing your videos more often
@@mikylamartinez224 I almost had to do that too, thanks for supporting my channel too!
Is it thickly in your experience? Was opening it necessary ?
@@Uglier. thocky? Yeah it was pretty nice out of the box, but opening it up and doing a couple tweaks really made it one of the thockiest boards I worked on. The thickness of the aluminum helps out a lot in the sound department
Is it necessary? Maybe not, all depends on personal preference honestly. But for me, opening it up and doing a couple things made a difference I enjoyed, and despite the trouble, I found was worth it. If you’re careful enough it shouldn’t be too much trouble, go in already expecting the screws to be soft and it will be fine
how did you remove the knob?
Pulled it hard
is there a way to turn off the rgb
Yes
This keyboard or m1w for quality
Imo M1W has better build quality
Do you think it'll benefit from a tape mod?
Slightly
Great English!
I think it's just alright tbh 🥲
this or the yunzi al 71
Do you want a knob? If yes, get the AL66. If no, get the AL71
i have the same mouse as you
Why did u steal mine
Its 65% keyboard and what about the remaining 35%? Is it mouse or something else 😂😅
The remaining 35% is the Function Row and the Numpad on the right side. Some people don't really use those so a 65% is enough
Oh now I got it 👍
