I got a PCP replacement for this Board from the manufacturer but i do not know how to replace :(
Do u mean PCB? You can follow the teardown steps in the video. Should be simple as that
@@itssamueltan yes the PCB because mine i buy had on F3 red RBG not working so they send me replacement of the PCB. Only what i done before by myself change the Switches and keycaps but that's all i never open a keyboard before.
@@divinfrozen hmm u can try, but if you're afraid you might break it, you can find someone locally who can fix keyboards
@@itssamueltan i am not sure yes i am afraid i think am mostly afraid to open because it is clipped the chance is there to break. i Will follow as in video i have some other keyboard if something breaks so sad i buy this and got directly the red RGB not working
The Lucky65 is openly available on AliExpess. I ordered mine 6 days ago, it should arrive tomorrow. Why would anyone get it via a group buy now? That makes no sense. Otherwise, good video.
I just got it and am having connectivity issues eith it. The keyboard keeps on disconnecting do you know how to fix it?
Hey, you can try resetting the keyboard or try using the dongle closer to the keyboard
Is this the xinmeng m71 ? I have seen inside m71 and this keyboard is the same with sk71 ?
Yes it's the same OEM
Can the knob be set to change the volume and not navigate in menu ? Or you always have to navigate to sound menu ?
Tbh I can't remember, but I think u can adjust the volume without going in the menu
I'm thinking to get either this board or the LEOBOG Hi8. Which one do you think sounds better?
Hmm I they both sound great tbh. But the Lucky65 has better build quality.
Which one should I buy? fantech maxfit87 or Ajazz Ak820? please tell me
Well, which one do u like
I personally prefer the ajazz, specifically the sound of it
@@rajkecy2223 hmm then you should get the Ajazz, since you'll most probably be using it everyday. It's important to get something u like
great review! i have the sugar65, do you think i should get this as well? i am thinking of getting it but if it sounds and feels 90% similar to the sugar65 then maybe i'll consider other options
Hmm I think they sound similar? But not the same
Do you know the name hotswap socket of aula f75 use? Kailh or gateron or something else? Thankyou!
Hey I'm not really sure, but I think they're TTC Hotswap sockets. But they will fit cherry style switches
@@itssamueltanThank you. I have a bit worry because noname socket.
The kkt mint switches are PERFECT for the newer rk100. Thanks for this video, I would not know what to get without it.
They sound so nice tbh 🥲 welcome btw
Nice vid mate
Thanks
my shit breaks when i use it wirelessly
What do u mean tho 😂
Would that knob switch work in a keyboard that didn't have a knob initially?
No, it has to have the compatible socket on the PCB
I RECENTLY PURCHASED A FAIR CONDITION IPHONE XS 256GB SPACE GREY FOR RM 700 AND EXPECTING IT WILL HAVE SCRATCHES BUT IM SUPRISED TO SEE THE PHONE IS IN VERY NEW CONDITION LIKE NO SCRATCHES
Nice
Nice vid but is this keyboard good for gaming?
Yea and thanks
Are you going to mod this keyboard?
Well honestly no, it already sounds great
@@itssamueltan Thanks for your reply! I do have the Aula F75 I was wondering if I'll mod it atleast change the switches for deeper thocky sounds.
@@ReevesPlays oh yea, changing the switches to a more "deeper" sounding switch will definitely make it thockier
Hi, I currently have a tester68 keyboard. I was thinking about swapping my switches and keys over to another board. I have gateron milky yellow switches. Would you recommend I swap it over to the GMK67 or Lucky65, or that I just stick with the Tester68? Or, if you have any other 60/65 keyboard recommendations, please let me know. Thanks in advance.
Well the GMK67 is a great budget option. But if you have more budget to spend the Lucky65 is great too. Just depends on your budget
@@itssamueltan Ok thank you. If I am going for thock, does the Lucky65 have a better sound than the GMK67?
@@schmeglyomigy6174 yes the Lucky65 sounds better imo
@@itssamueltan Ok appreciate it. Do you think the GMK67 sounds better than the Tester68?
@@schmeglyomigy6174 definitely
mine doesnt work with VIA, do u have any solution?
Is yours VIA compatible? You just need to flash the Jsoj file a few times for it to work
@@itssamueltan I downloaded the latest VIA version and usb json file from ciddo web but still didnt work, i have no idea what it needs
@@nguyentuan-br1kz you need to flash the Json file a few times in VIA
@@nguyentuan-br1kz mine at first seemed like it wouldn`t work but after messing around the layout appeared, id just suggest trying alot
Is the mouse use software to change the rgb light and tumb switch
No
Do you know anything about the ZiFriend M68? It's also a magnetic switch keyboard.
Yes I have, and I think it's the same keyboard tbh
GAN is the future. Interesting how much heavier it is though. I might keep it at home rather than travelling with it.
GaN will be more compact but much more heavier. Size over weight I guess
Great review. How can I make the keys more silent? I am a "normal" keyboard user ;)
I would suggest changing the switches to a silent switch
I am saving money and not sure if i will buy this one or the gmk67 which is more expensive. May I ask what is more durable for long term use Bluetooth or wired? I am a little worried if tester68 will last me a long time.
I would recommend the GMK67 tbh. The tester is now very outdated and not really meant for long term use.
How's the quality of the aluminium case, is it rough or more refined and smooth ?
It's refined and smooth with the Anodized coating. Only the weight is slightly rougher/not as smooth of a finish. But I think that is because mine is a pre production sample
Bought this one two days ago. Loving it so far😍
Nice
I have a question... I'm installing the stabs right now but i don't now which screws I need to use for them... can anybody help me? (sorry for my spelling im german)
Hey, the screws should come with the stabilisers. They go in the smaller hole on the PCB
Great video. Thank you
Welcome!
I have both the "Ajazz AK820 pro with Gift switch", and the "Keychron k8 pro with Gateron Browns" which is double the price of the Ajazz, and for me Ajazz is the better option because of the more creamier & refined sound. Keychron's keycaps are more well-finished, however the typing experience in Ajazz is better.
I agree, Ajazz is worth the money but lower in quality. Keychron has much better build quality but it's not as refined in the sound department. But if you want to mod it more it definitely can sound great too
k701 or this
I think it's the same PCB and Switches, just the case and keycaps are different. Just pick which one you prefer
What I hate about rk61 is, 04:18 it has a white plate. It makes it hella ugly. the LED couldn't mask off the white color of the plate sigh... I should've bought Red Dragon K530. That keyboard looks better.
But doesn't the white plate help reflect the RGB and make it look brighter? Unless u prefer a more stealthier look
@@itssamueltan ye
I watched your video months ago but haven't seen this board close to that price since. Last night I found it for ~$59 with overnight shipping. I built it this morning with the Leobog Reaper switches and a set of Drop DCX WoB I had and dang... it sound and feels amazing! Not sure why I ignored this for so long. It's not as nice as my QK75n but for less than half the price it's quite amazing! The only issue on the build is that it is super flex, which I like, but meant I had to be really careful, as I didn't need to take it apart since I already knew what was in it, putting in the switches, actually supporting the plate at times on the lower keys to get the switches into the plate first then the sockets. All great though once finished. For me the Win Lock key was on by default which is fine but unexpected and as you showed the knob was set to control RGB rather than volume. Not sure if I'll put the badges on or not as the black on black, like your build, looks very clean! Great and through video!
Hey thanks! Glad that you got it for a reasonable price tbh. The knob can control the volume or the RGB, you just switch in between the modes by holding FN+Knob if I remember correctly. For the price I can't really complain too, not the best quality but it's good enough.
DO NOT BUY THIS, ordered a set and got the product without labels, some of they keys are not straight where the ceramic meets the connector, the keys bump with the housing of the keyboard. Overall very dissatisfied with the experience. I don't recommend this product.
Did you choose the ones without legends? And I would suggest getting some customer support if they sent you a faulty set or wrong set. They could help you with that

Do you know how I can remap the knob? Mine controls the RBG brightness for some reason
You can refer to the manual, I think holding FN+Knob might change it back
@@itssamueltan you're a lifesaver
Do you think this or the sugar65 is better?
Well honestly, they are both from Weikav and are very similar. I would say just go with what you like in your budget.
@@itssamueltan k thanks
@@SwiftyProdz1 welcome!
Does anyone know if the "driver" on the manufactures website includes software as well? The .ZIP file contains an EXE and I dont know if i can trust it.... OK Im assuming the software you showed is what I have but didnt install yet
Yeap the driver is the software
This board came out at about $30 6 months ago and now we're up to $80. Soon we will pass $100!
The Sugar65 you can get for 30
Well tbh, you can still get it around $30 from the OEM. Just like the Sugar65, you can find the OEM on Taobao
@@user-db1vn4ov4l yea same by Weikav too
@@itssamueltan I just registered with Taobao and no..... this is what it says "WEIKRV SUGAR65 Mechanical Keyboard Kit Wired Gasket CNC FR4 ¥684.1rise Starting from about USD 95.16" They didn't even spell the name Weikav correctly. There are no boards in that price range or even close for the USA. There pricing is actually higher then Aliexpress direct.
@@itssamueltan do you know where i can buy it for $30 on taobao? cant seem to find it
Making such iconic mark and not giving the green color is a scam
Ikr! I initially wanted to ask for a green version but there isn't any available 🥲
And the box is GREEN too 😭
@@silentKeys20 just teasing us 🥲
i was planning on buying it and even pledged 1 dollar for the extra discount but when the kickstarter launched apparently i have to pay 100 dollars for shipping charges to my country... this is a damn joke
What?? I thought shipping was going to be covered. May I know where you're from?
@@itssamueltan India, and no it's not the shipping costs 800 HKD which is 100 dollars roughly
Im contemplating between getting this board and the monsgeek m7w. Which do you reccomend?
For me, I think the M7W feels more solid. But the Lucky 65 sounds way better.
hi. i owned a M7W purple. And surprisingly, it is good. But, the stock stabs for the M7W is really scratchy so you need retuned and relubed. Maybe do some holee mode also. I havent tried the lucky65 i wouldnt know in term of sound signature compared with this board. maybe as sam suggest, if you looking for sound preference, maybe this one is to go.
ak820 pro vs Monka 3075 pro v2? please let me know
Honestly pretty similar, the Monka just doesn't have a Knob
@@itssamueltan then im going for ak820 pro

i was thinking of getting rainy75 but i cant find it on amazon and i dont really wanna buy from anywhere else, so i'm going to get this instead.

It's decent, but for the price I can't complain much
