      I’m a local of Boise and I’ve been up in the sawtooths a bit and have tons of friends that have as well. Nobody I know has ever seen a bear in the Sawtooths. The forest service says there are black bears but again; I’ve never heard of anyone seeing any. None of us locals use a bear canister or do any beer hangs. I don’t even bring bear mace. It all seems unnecessary especially since there are no grizzlies.

      @@mattmiller6246 No offense but this is bad advice. I did this loop last year and ran into two black bears within 20 minutes of each other. One of which was literally 6ft away from me when I rounded a blind corner. Not hanging your food is irresponsible. Statistically more people are killed every year by black bears than by grizzlies.

Kraig’s style - and let’s be real - this is all thx to him - takes us back to a time where it was more important to listen and be present, appreciate the splendor of a visual, the serene environment and how it sounds - than a droning monologist giving you all the info in rapid fire segments. Kraig’s stuff just hits the right tone and is a constant reminder that simplicity is often the right answer. Bravo man! Seriously!

    I knew something was different about this one, I thought Kraig must be experimenting with a new frame rate...and then you confirmed it in the BTS. Just my opinion, but I prefer the look of your older videos (specifically the drone footage and 24 fps full frame), but love that you experiment and are always trying new things. Much respect as always!

    • @lukerz00
      @lukerz00 Před 4 lety +1

      @@5thlakeadventures Yo! To the best of my knowledge, there is no restrictions for non-Idahoans coming to visit. However, Boise/Ada County and a couple other places have legal mandate for wearing masks outside and inside. Stanley, Idaho, where the Sawtooths are located does not have a mandate right now. A few backpackers and hikers were wearing masks just while passing people on the trail. You should be alright.

      Thank you very much. I also called the city office and asked, but that Lady said stage 3 right now and that is 14 days quarantine for outsiders. I got to think about it, atleast 6-8 hrs total to get there by flight so I want to be sure. Thank you once again my friend. Namaste 🙏

      Bears yes, they want nothing to do with you. Cougars yes, they would rather remain away from a human sized opponent. Wolves not so much in this area but they are more common elsewehere in Idaho, but it's extremely rare to see them or cougars unless you are experienced and looking for them.

      @wayouttatune2 Unless you're in grizzly country there's really not much to worry about aside from moose. They are the real dangerous ones. But again they are generally uninterested in human contact.
