    I had a horrible tooth abscess for two days and was really suffering from it. I tried every thing, with no success... Then, and old lady I know said, "Just put some molasses on it and it will draw it out". I took a piece of 2"x2" gauze, spread molasses on it, like peanut butter on toast, rolled it up and tucked it btwn the cheek and gum... and in 20 min. it had begun to drain... In under an hour, it was dry. It also only took about 2 days to completely heal. It was like magic.

    As a kid we always looked forward to molasses on buttered bakery bread whenever the power went out and tea heated on the coal stove. Once every few years I remember about that and go get some, just as good today as it was then.
    I read a few years go that the reason unsulphered blackstrap molasses helps with white hair in most people is because of the elemental copper and supporting minerals in it. The article said copper helps with hair pigmentation, I forget how, I think it helps get rid of the hydrogen peroxide build-up on the hair shaft, which causes the loss in pigment. It also said that copper is very rare in our diets today and that not many food items have it or have very little. I ordered some online at the time and used it as the sweetener for coffee or green or black tea, worked well taste wise for me, very sweet, you don't need much. I had it twice a day for three weeks and my hair was noticeably darker and less white hairs too. But as usual I stopped taking it as I do with any new daily routine things. I've recently been thinking of getting some more as more white hair is showing up now :( , I'll have to get on it now. I've mentioned to naturopaths and others about the benefits of the unsulphered molasses and no one ever believed me, glad its true. Thanks.

      I agree. My mother believed in western medicine totally. But when I turned 16 my doctor took me off penicilin that had been prescribed to me since 4 after tonsillectomy & told me there was nothing he could prescribe to me. That I would always have a compromise immune system and catch every cold, flu, and phnemonia that came around. He was right, that I should take control of my health. Well that was a blessing. I practiced alternative medicine since 16. I raised all my children with alternative medicine's including prayer. Never once has it failed me like western medicine has. And they do not go automatically to a doctor. But I of course there are alot more people out there with so much more information for me to gather...

    Hey guys! Love your channel. I,m an ER nurse and introduced a young Dr to the wonders of milk and molasses enemas for those cases where regular enemas were not helping relieve severe, severe constipation. You mix a couple tbs molasses in warm milk and use that as the liquid for the enema. Guaranteed to work every time and is all natural! The "young bucks" still have a lot to learn sometimes and thankfully some are open to tried and true remedies. Keep those videos coming!

    • @stephanienortmann4943
      @stephanienortmann4943 Před 7 lety +1

      If you make a drink of molasses and milk it is called a brown and white or a brown cow and does the same thing as the enema. I learned that trick early in my nursing days worked in home care and had a patient that routinely had constipation due to medications they were taking, we wanted something natural since this was a common occurance. Worked like a charm everytime, in fact it worked so good it became our go to for all our patients as long as they weren't lactose intolerant. It is even safe for babies. A few years after that my daughter was born with digestive issues and had to be helped to go due to severe constipation, asked her specialist about it and was given the go ahead to try it, she is now 21 and still has same issues and it still works as good as when she was little. Beauty of drinking it you can catch it early and head a bad bout off and for really chronic constipation it can be safely used every day proactively without medical or medication intervention.

    My wife was bottle-feeding a newborn rabbit (we raise them for meat), and after a day, the baby was starting to decline...wouldn't put on weight well, losing interest in food, etc...so she started putting just a few drops of Grandma's molasses into the "bunny formula" (double-strength goat milk), and right away, the rabbit started putting on weight & feeding better on the formula. She also noted that the bunny didn't develop weaning enteritis when she introduced pellet food a couple weeks later...which happens often with bottle-fed babies and is deadly to young bunnies.

    We used to get a lot of malt extract, which was a by product of the Whisky Industrie which my family lives right in the middle of. I can only think of molasses as the stuff we feed as a supplement along with hay and bran and a little oats to the horses in winter. I imagine it would be similar to malt extract which is really high in the B vitamins and in iron (of course that is based on the fact that it looks like malt extract...not any actual knowledge lol, I just remembered that I didn't mind taking it by itself as it has a nice malty taste but occasionally mun used to gst it wifh cod liver oil in it and would wait till we swallowed it...yuk anything that gross has to be good for you!

    Great info! I'm going to start adding this into my diet more often. Before, I only used this in baking! Maybe morning oatmeal?
