Guitarist and composer Gustavo Assis Brasil is one of the most well-respected artists and leading educators in the field today. He is the author of a pioneering and successful series of guitar books about the Hybrid Picking Technique. His books include: Hybrid Picking for Guitar (2005) about combining the pick and fingers to play the guitar; Hybrid Picking Exercises: Single Note Permutations (2008) with more than 1,400 different exercises based entirely on math permutations; Hybrid Picking Lines and Licks (2011); “Advanced Hybrid Picking Etudes Vol.1” (2019).
