      @@makingcookingfixing Well I wanted to make ice cream because I prefer to eat things without unhealthy additives, and also have some food intolerances. So the first recipe was dairy free strawberry. I'm not good at measuring, I just throw it in!
      200ml vegetable milk (you can use a nut or oat milk)
      200ml hard creamed coconut
      300g pureed strawberries
      natural vanilla essence
      50g powdered (icing) sugar (but you could use unprocessed sugar or honey)
      I heated the milk and melted the coconut cream into it, added the sugar. Took it off the heat and added the vanilla and strawberries. That's it.

    • @wendydee3007
      @wendydee3007 Před 4 lety +1

      The second recipe (almost fat free!!):
      1 bar cheap dark chocolate
      about 25g cocoa powder
      about 40g freshly ground, dark roast coffee beans
      1 litre oat milk (use cows milk if you prefer)
      enough cornflour to thicken the custard (sorry didn't measure!)
      several glugs of Amaretto liqueur
      enough brown sugar to sweeten the mixture a little
      Warm the milk and melt the chocolate and sugar into it. Add the ground coffee and amaretto. Make a thick paste with the cornflour, cocoa and a little water. Add a bit more water and mix, then add to the milk. Stir/whisk until it starts to thicken. Cool in fridge, etc.

    Hello, thank you for the video!! I bought this ice cream maker last month, and what has put me off making the ice cream is the fact the manual said that we must put the bowl in some kind of plastic zip bag before we put it in the freezer, so that ice crystals don't form. I have not been able to find anything to put the bowl in. Could I ask what you used? Thank you very much!

    • @makingcookingfixing
      @makingcookingfixing  Před 9 měsíci +1

      Hi, thank you for your question. I did not read that part of the manual I guess, lol, I just put the bowl straight like that in the freezer, no problems at all. There should not be any crystal forming, I did not have any problems, even if crystals form, that's also not a problem since you will put your liquid in and they surely would go away if you did have crystals. Have fun, it's a great little ice maker!

    • @makingcookingfixing
      @makingcookingfixing  Před 3 lety +2

      The idea of the eggs is to make a custard, ice cream (supposed to be a custard that is frozen?) But I don't think it's needed. The heavy cream and sugar will give your recipe substance.

But i was expecting this maker to chill the ingredients while mixing. This never happened, the chill out gets only from freezer 😔

    • @makingcookingfixing
      @makingcookingfixing  Před 2 lety

      That’s to be expected, even if you put a bottle of milk in your freezer it will become ice, either your freezer is set VERY cold, or you have too much water (juice) in your ingredients, it’s a play of fat/sugar for it to not become too hard. So play with the cream
