If you used powdered sugar will dissolve better and mixes better, just an hour of fashioned grandma tip
Thank you so much for displaying this machine I was thinking about buying one myself. I would love to experiment with making ice cream with coconut cream.
Made your moms strawberry ice cream yesterday and it was really good! Thanks for sharing!
Oh wow just made it my kids are super happy. Thank you for sharing. Its like tasting ice cream for the first time. Really good

I just made this !!! My Family Loved It !!! Thank You for the recipe and video instructions.
Glad you liked it!!
Just made this !! It was perfect ! Thank you !!
Great video! Thanks for sharing!
Would it work if you use whipping cream instead of 1/2 and 1/2?
I've had the idea of making chilli chocolate ice cream just bought a machine and it arrives in 2 days so excited
Will adding lemon juice to the milk or half and half cause it to curdle?
This is great! Thank you
Glad you liked it!
Thanks for the video.
When I need to make ice cream in a short amount of time, I start with ice cold milk, cream, Half & Half, and fruit so my ice cream machine does not have to waste time chilling warm ingredients.
I also use liquid sugar (such as honey or maple syrup) so I do not have to waste time waiting for granulated sugar to dissolve.
Great tip!
Will it not curd mixing milk and acid (lemon) ?
Can you replace the lemon juice with vanilla extract?
Just subscribed. Thanks for sharing this.
Idk why i love these videos so much they’re so relaxing
Very helpfully tip.
Haagen dazs once made a ginger ice cream that was out of this world. It was their “Five Ingredient” line. They also had mint ice cream- no chocolate
chips, just mint, and it was also delicious. The ginger didn’t have the spice, but it was loaded with real ginger flavor. Sadly, it was discontinued due to poor sales. I wish I could recreate it at home.
Experiment! I bet after two attempts you'll have it just right! I missed TJ's ginger jam and made a cheat version, no pectin, no cooking, just made a kind of small-chunk/puree, added some keto-friendly sweetener and voila, delicious for spreading on my appetizers. Embarrassing but I have had my "brand-new" Cuisinart ice cream maker for several years without using it, put away in the garage. :( I'm getting it out tonight because I'm making too many trips to my favorite ice cream place and need to be decrease sugar. Good luck!
More video's, don't stop!
You would just pour the mixture into the bucket and then add the paddle and lid. You don't need to pour it through the hole in the lid. The hole in the lid is for adding fruits and candies toward the end of the mixing process, if desired.
Not so. To make it properly, you do it exactly like she did. Do your homework. Read the mfgs manual. Read other's reviews and read articles about the proper setup and use. You'd be amazed at what you can learn 😊
keep doing more flavours !! thanks
Фантастика!!!!
How does one recover the thick layer on the sides and bottom of the bowl after removing the soft ice cream?
with so many ice cream makers available on the market, i'm lost as to which one would be a good "starter" one for someone that has no history making ice cream? any suggestions appreciated 🍨
You are wonderful!
Would that work using less sugar? Or using Monk fruit sweetener?
I know people who use honey, maple syrup, even stevia. It's just a personal preference.
Yummy
What if it doesn't get thick at all. I have put the bowl in the freezer all night and cooled the liquid. I waited 30 mins and it was still runny
I just bought the ICE-21 and made 3 batches already but I found that they melt too fast. Anyone got tips?
All these nerds whining about double dipping. Its obviously for her family.
Surprised by the lemon juice. Interesting.
Why isn't the recipe in the show notes?
Why so many comments because of the double dip, it's not that big of a deal ya know? Besides they are all family eating the ice cream.
Haha. I also noticed the cross contamination, but figured it was all hers and she was making sure no one else touched it. 😂 I just keep rinsing the spoon before I dip again.
I guess some people don’t realize you can make your family sick too. It’s not just strangers that can get sick. Yuk.
Do I have to freeze the ice bucket?
Yeah
Could you make it with milk and whipping cream
@@ghanacryptogurl3574 YES typically it would be whole milk and whole (Whipping) cream.
Off course u have to freeze the ice bucket otherwise the liquid will not became ice cream.
Is also helps if the mixer is proper cold before is introduced in to the frozen bucket.
@@ghanacryptogurl3574 I know people who make it with almond milk or even coconut milk and it turns out fine.
does the ice cream get thick if you leave it turning longer at all?
Not with that type of an ice cream maker because it warms up so the recommended amount is 15-25 min. After 25 min it is going to be too warm. I love my Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker!! Just on here looking for recipes and this is a great one; only I am going to use sweetened frozen strawberries.
@@cindyhodgdon5439 Have you tried the same recipe with a sugar substitute please
@@fathimahassan3150 I know people who use honey, maple syrup, even stevia. It's just a personal preference.
@@frankenfurter58 Thank you!
@@fathimahassan3150 You're welcome! I've even heard of people using alternate milks like almond, coconut, soy, etc, with excellent success. Don't be afraid to experiment. I find I get the best tips from reading people's comments, so take a good scroll when checking around.
Sorry, what is two parts?
What name machine
Cuisinart
Chocolate?
No eggs??
1/2 & 1/2 from the store is not really 1/2 & 1/2. It is 3/4 whole milk & 1/4 heavy cream.
Do not ask me why they call it 1/2 & 1/2.
Where’s the recipe????
Ignore my dumb comment! Ugh
@@cherch5 haha 😑 we all make mistakes!
Ew! Double dipping!!!
Marky Maarty I agree and looks like some of it ran off the spoon back into the ice cream... Ew!
Licking the fingers and double dipping was kinda gross but the recipe looks great
It made me cringe. All that bacteria grows. Licking fingers ...
And her hair was hanging in there at one point. lol
4:45 But it's actually "literally less than 30 minutes"! :D :D She's so bad with timing :D :D
This is the noisiest ice cream maker on the market; it is horrible. It is so bad, my husband will leave the other room to go upstairs. That's bad. After a few uses, the top will not stay on; it falls off. I have to place a weighty object on top to keep it on. So I do not use it much. It does make wonderful ice cream. Just a pain. Will buy a different brand next time.
WOW... Such a whiner! It's not that bad LOL!!!!
20 MINUTES? that's so long. Lemme get my liquid nitrogen - Take 20 seconds.
Girl, your detergent video is pooping!
Pooping?
You stuck the spoon into the batch of icecream....ate off the spoon....THEN AFTER you had the spoon in your mouth you put the spoon BACK INTO the icecream maker AND took another bite! You contaminated the entire batch of icecream! Yuck! That's disgusting! Thumbs Down!
Did you see the part where her hair was in the bowl ?
That ice-cream is not for sale )) and this is how all homemade food is done 🤪
Ive said the same even before i read all the comments. Gross. Just GROSS.
Maybe she's going to enjoy it all to herself!
@@yulyar5069 Not all home made food done like this. NO!
I almost puked after the double dip of the test spoon into the family ice cream. Cringe.
Your over reaction almost made me puke.... grow up
Same lol
Same here. 🤮
The fact that you find your own family disgusting to not eat from their spoon or drink from the same glass is amazing
when you do that you are putting the germs from your mouth into fresh food making the food technically contaminated. what if she ate chicken before and now theres tiny fibres of chicken germs in it? doesnt matter if its family. @@Luciphers_Workshop
I hope you’re the only one eating that ice cream coz its gross when you scoop it and put back the spoon after you put it in your mouth 🤮
hey weirdo. you some kind of germ phobe??🤡🤡🤡
Can barely make out what you are saying.
Bad food handling. Use gloves…
It's her own home and I'm sure she washed her hands first. Gloves are a bit of overkill imo.
I can’t believe how people are so negative on plain video to show you how to use ice maker. Really. This is funny to read it. They didn’t get to the point for sure. She is not doing for you, you are not going to taste it to bother if she is using the gloves. She is sharing the recipe so if you like to use it then you can use your gloves if you are really want it . At least be grateful for her effort to make a video and give you idea how to use ice maker and show you nice recipe . 🤦🏻♀️👩🍳
Safety first bud, I wear a condom when I have private time with myself, good safe practices, but I draw the line at wearing gloves to make food! But I do make the food before I have private time! I'm not a frickin animal you know. Btw, are you a real person or one of those mean "bots that put stupid comments down?
Double dipping for people no thank you
Don’t put the spoon in your mouth and put back , it’s disgusting 🤢
don't you put a penis in yours?🤡🤡🤡
What is UP with that section of hair that hangs in front of your shoulder in every single freakin video???
Seriously? Are you here for the ice cream?
It is best to put hair back and be sure to use good food practice to prevent contamination when making a food video.
Did she double dip…ewwwwwwww
why you put sugar?shame for you
Because the sugar is integral to controlling the rate of freezing so that you end up with a smooth and spoonable cream, instead of a block of ice crystals.
This automatic hatred for any use of sugar because the latest fad is "sugar bad" is down right ridiculous.
@@damionlee7658 !👌
@@damionlee7658 PLus I know people who use honey, maple syrup, or even stevia. It's just a personal preference.
@@frankenfurter58 You started with "Plus I know..." as though part of the comment was missing, feel free to add it in. Anyhow, you know people that use honey and maple syrup... You do realise those are both sugar, right? Seems a bit silly effectively saying 'You don't have to use sugar, because I know people that use... Sugar instead'.
So we get past the senseless comment about using other sugars, and move onto Stevia, used to sweeten the ice cream when you don't use sugar to control the freezing rate (unnecessary when using sugar as it also has the effect of sweetening the mixture at the same time of course). When using Stevia or other similar sweeteners, you have to use something else to control the freezing rate, which means putting salt into the ice cream. Yummy!
So you pick your poison, you can use a sugar to control freeze rate and simultaneously sweeten the ice cream, or you can use sugar free alternatives to sweeten, and try to hide the taste of the salt you have to put in instead.
Either way, sugar is not some demon that people need to avoid at all costs. Like ice cream itself, it is all about moderation.
@@damionlee7658 If you're not diabetic, or cane sugar intolerant like many people are (including myself), then you wouldn't understand. Some of us have to choose our poison wisely.
Really puts a spoon into the machine then her mouth the puts the dirty spoon back into the machine and takes more ice cream VILE
