Someone please help. I'm installing KYB 555601 Gas-a-Just Shocks on the rear of my 2004 Ford Crown Victoria. The shaft keeps spinning such that I have to use some other tool to hold it in place, like a wrench, I see there's a special tool for it, but I feel I've already gotten it too tight in trying to get it tight enough so the shaft will stop turning so I can put a torque wrench on there. I feel like I've surpassed the 30 ft/lb spec, but the shaft still spins, so I can't verify with a torque wrench.

We have a technical support team that loves to assist, but they don’t monitor CZcams comment sections since they have their contact information listed on our website. Please reach out by emailing TechSupport@kyb.com.
There is a special socket tool for installing certain shock designs, which it sounds like you need. Be careful when installing suspension components with the wrong tools, there are many ways people unknowingly damage the shocks that lead to failures, so seek professional help if you're stuck.

I had a question on my 2002 Honda Accord LX V6 the 341257 model only comes in one style for front. All of the quick strut styles come on a left and right side model. Anything I should do to make sure they are installed properly?

I'd have to check with our tech support team. Emailing them questions like this would be a much better strategy than asking in a comment section. Please reach out to our tech support team at techsupport@kyb.com.
My guess is that it could be due to spring wind direction. The strut could be the same, but the springs used in the complete assembly could be left and right side specific for performance reasons.

Hello KYB. I purchased the rear shocks left and right for my 2007 Hyundai Elantra. Why are there no bushings and washers with the shocks? I may return for a refund because my mechanic now has to make unnecessary modifications with other type nuts and washers. Why man? I mean these seems reasonable suspension parts. The kit must always be complete. Please clarify.

The “correct tool to hold the shaft in place” that your recommending in this video only has 2 sizes for the strut top nut. 14mm and 15mm. Kyb send me out a 17mm nut. that tool wont work for those that receive higher then 15mm top nuts for their struts.

We are recommending a type of tool in the video and included an image as an example. We don’t manufacture or sell tools and didn’t make any specific recommendations.

@@kybamericascorp well apparently kyb provides different sizes of nuts for different type of struts i assume because i received my struts with 17mm nut . And there is not a tool at all out there like the example you guys put that would contain a 17mm for the strut nut. That specific tool only applies for those that recieve 14mm or 15mm nuts with their kyb. The only thing i can find is the open end wrench set from harbor freight and buy the shock absorber socket to fit on the stem and combine those two tools to get the job done for deep areas.

@@ElementTijuana There are shock absorber tool sets that include the sizes you've specified and even larger than what you're listing. If you need help finding tools, there are resources that can help you.
If you have any specific KYB shock or installation questions, please contact our tech support team, email techsupport@kyb.com

U guys should reconsidered making KYB - Gas-A-Just monotube shocks for all vehicles. Especially wether when u guys use to make and then stop offering and u offer just excel G shocks and struts.
Or they don’t give them better options instead of just one.
Such as Toyota Corolla, Toyota Camry, Toyota Sienna, Toyota rav4, Toyota Avalon, Lexus ES models, Lexus LS models, Lexus IS models, Lexus IS models, Lexus NX models.
    And even all Scion models.
    Such as Scion xA 2003-2006
    Scion xB 2003-2006
    Scion tC 2005-2010
    2008-2015 Scion xB
    2011-2016 Scion tC
Regardless if it’s demand or not a demand.
I would love to have Monotube shocks for economy vehicles. Make it more fun to drive.
And make it an amazing quality made shocks and struts by u guys ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼
