Just in case any of you find it helpful, its actually optimal to upgrade strength *last* because of the way gaining xp works in this game. Instead of being given off of kills, its instead given off of hits, so keeping your target alive for longer lets you get more xp than killing them faster.

The Red Knights splash magic works differently than the others. Hold down the attack to shoot a constant stream of electricity.
If you destroy the catfish's furball and keep him in front of the ship, the king will fire a cannon at his head, which stuns him for seven seconds and drops his defense.
When you get to a princess and have a sandwich, after killing the others, simply use the sandwich to grow beefy then wait for the timer to reach four or lower, then kiss the princess. the kiss animation will be cancelled and you can walk around freely while the princess just makes out with thin air.
Nick would never lose a fight if he leveled up magic. That red knight magic haunts my dreams

Brent is technically playing optimally, as beating the game with the Blue Knight unlocks the Industrialist and his reskin, the Fencer, the two best characters in the game.

My brother and I used to replay to get all of the characters. Not so long ago we (brother, cousins, uncle) bought it again. It’s a piece of gem and our obsession.

Quick tip: You can buy potions at shops! They automatically get used if you lose all your health in multiplayer!
You know if you guys want to at least hear outside music on your end while the game is silenced for music mainly for the editor, you can use OBS application audio capture so that it will only capture the game sound and not the music playing from the other application.

Fun fact poison on the right enemies can actually be op if you use the basic spell. It hits a bunch of times and can grant a bunch of free xp too that way. (Xp is based on hits, for poison farm on skelebros since they take only 1 damage)
No lie last time I played I used full magic poison knight and one shot a bunch of bosses that way.

So glad they're finally playing Castle Crashers, it was one of my favorite games to play with my family growing up.
As someone who milks 0 str builds for max exp gains it was almost painful to see strength investment so early.
But ultimately im glad to see them have fun playing this.
idk if you guys did all the game in one go but if not you can change your weapon and pet in one of the early level
Some needs requirement to be equiped like the lightsaber tho
(and no wonder eevee doesn't level as fast as the other, you get xp from each hit you land per enemi and melee attack tends to hit more than magic (lowtiergod go crazy tho))
