Credit where credit is due gameplay wise: this is some of the best balance I have EVER SEEN anywhere, not to mention some of the best game feel on the switch. One extra stat point feels equally effective in any stat, and overall gameplay is just satisfying as hell. The whole system for dodging tackles is way more fun and fair than dekeing and praying not to die. The stadiums in clubs are satisfying to upgrade and look really impressive once they’re maxed. And oh yeah, this is the first strikers game with music that’s actually from the mario franchise. Give the game credit where credit is due is all I’m saying.

I remember this game to be the cheatiest, most anti-player AI ever in a Nintendo game. From your braindead teammates, opponents teleporting in front of the goal while you're in the charge-shot cutscene, to lackluster goalkeeper performance.

@@kappadarwin9476 Yeah, there's actually a Discord server for people playing Super Mario Strikers, Strikers Charged and Battle League. The original SMS players even use a modified version of Dolphin that saves replays of matches offline and online when playing through netplay called Citrus.
You really gotta play Strikers Charged. The opening to that game is insane and so good.

Imagine, your about to take the shot, final 20 seconds and tied, suddenly out of nowhere, you get CLOCKED by daisy, no provoking, just straight up punched, as you get up you look to the ref you can see him chuckling at his phone, as you struggle to get up off your knees, you get crushed by bowser
These guys have the perfect football fan voices, so this game is super perfect for them.
Not even 20 seconds into the video, and Nick is already going fan-like ballistic for Daisy and drooling over Wario Cake. Not to mention, the classic “you pick WAAAARIO!!” line from Brent. That’s how you know you’ve found your dinner-eating CZcams video.
