    I’ve tried ‘em all... Something that helps any mask is one of those poles that holds up the tube over your head. It keeps the tube off your bed, it gives you more flexibility to turn over on your other side, and it helps keep “rainout” moisture away. It helps when you make the bed in the morning.

    I used the n30 and got a gnarly abscess on my face right beside the nose from that harder plastic part. Switched to this one and I’m in love. Go a size bigger than you would think. I used a small with the n30 and tried a small with this one. No go. Couldn’t exhale. Switched to medium and I’m in heaven now.

    So glad to find this video review. I just tried p30i for the first time after I used p10 which worked well. But I think I will like p30i better. Thanks for the selection of sizes. I didn't realize small gives more force than larger which make sense. I get very dry mouth often. So I will try the large one tonight. I also need to find instructional video how to adjust humidity and hose temp adjustment to be more comfortable. Any suggestion on those topics? Thank you!!

    Great video as usual, thank you. I was a AirFit p10 fan did not really like the head gear but the mask was perfect. Then I bought the N30i with high hopes and it felt like they were missing one nasal piece size to be ok. Actually, the sizing for the N30i and P30i are different. Finally the P30i cushion became available and I bought the one I thought would fit me (not at all clear and not much help from suppliers) and have been very happy with it. It is obviously heavier than the P10 but once your head is on the pillow, you forget about it and it is much quieter. Great mask! Oh and by the way, cheapcapasupplies still does not ship to Canada :(

    I started a few weeks ago with the N30i. It works well for me, but it irritates the heck out of my nose. It negatively interacts with my stubble, and causes painful, under skin pimples near my nostrils. It’s unbearable at this point, so I’m going to a full face mask, to try that..

Over and over I saw where they don't respond back to the customer, they don't take returns, they often times send the wrong items, but still charge the customers for their own mistakes. that's so sad, bc I really wanted to order the sanitizer and hurricane, ect. Your great though, and I certainly appreciate your knowledge.

    I tried a P30i last night and my machine tells me that I had zero leakage and an AHI of 0.0 but my wife said I was snoring like crazy so that means my mouth was open. How could my device report zero leakage with a nasal pillow mask if my mouth was open because I was clearly mouth breathing even with a good seal on the nasal pillow?
    Also, I dont feel well rested. Can I trust the 0.0 AHI reading if much of the CPAP pressure was escaping through my mouth?

      When my teeth start to hurt, more times than not.... it is a sinus blockage that I can't feel or hear.... my nose isn't stuffed or anything, just my sinuses. Feel around your face/cheeks/eyebrows, ears, and jawline for sinus sensitivity and pressure. Either then see your doctor, use a decongestant, or try a saline spray to clear it out. Happens to me all the time with sinusitis. It is a huge part of why I was recommended for a CPAP, because I'm a nose breather 100% of the day and sinusitis messes with my 02 levels at night. This mask, although my favorite, is messing with my sinuses so much. Trying a different fixed humidity level tonight because the auto-humidity isn't doing the trick.

    The World of CPAP seems to be a paradoxical blend of great engineering, but apparent lack of consumer beta testing? Hard plastic? Things that seem extremely obvious - like on the Resmed 10 series, the selection knob/button makes a loud click - on a device used in the bed room?
    Water tank has to be shoved in with a loud click, sloshing water around?
    Phillips scored with the Dreamwear design, but the pillows are noisy versus the cushions; but then Resmed obviously did pay more attention to venting noise? Elaborate engineering on the frame(s), but you're expected to adjust the hyper finicky cushion/pillow pressure by fiddling with elastic bands that ultimately will always end up where they want to be on your head... Instead of an adjustable angle fitting where the elastic hooks on?
    It's like they don't do any beta testing, no user feedback? Or nobody on the engineering design side actually use their products?
    Thanks again for the great videos...

    • @mufasers
      @mufasers Před 4 lety

      My pressure for my original full face mask was 19, but I adjusted down to 12 with my current nasal mask as 19 would blow my mouth open to expel the air coming in through my nose! Also, I feel like the nasal mask’s smaller internal area and proximity to my nostrils warrants a lower pressure anyhow.

      @@mufasers I recently switched to the AirTouch F20. I was still having some leaking and a friend suggested a sleep mask. I also was able to upgrade to the Resmed Airsense 10. I believe it has auto pressure settings. I have that same problem with my mouth. It's hard to describe. It's like my mouth pops open frequently.

    • @mufasers
      @mufasers Před 4 lety

      The “mouth popping open” thing has happened to me as well...I was getting some good AHI results but I recorded myself overnight after I checked out the “large leak” events in OSCAR the day before. Sure enough you can hear my mouth open and air shoot out. Sometimes for about 10 minutes per episode! My wife will let me know when it’s too loud and I wake up and try again. This is with the n20 nasal mask. Recently trying the dreamwear full face and is better (don’t have to worry about the mouth open issue) but just get a couple of small leaks in the wee hours and still tinkering with the straps tightness. It’s comfortable, though.

  • @Cherishthemoment
    @Cherishthemoment Před rokem

    The p30i has a major flaw. Major flaw. Because the air tubes are soft as soon as you lay on your side the air tube collapses and you are only getting half of the air. The only way this unit will work is if you tie yourself to the bed so you cannot turn onto your side.

      Wurly, I think I shared this with you before, it takes 30 - 90 days to get used to CPAP therapy. When I try a new mask, I walk around my apartment wearing it, to get used to the feel of the mask. If you have difficulties, use your ramp feature on your machine (I have set my ramp time at 15 minutes), and you may have to ask your doctor to lower the air pressure.
