- I went to PNC Park to watch the Pittsburgh Pirates battle the Atlanta Braves, but also to check out the Pirates Cove all you can eat seats. Section 201 to 204 at PNC Park is the designated section and you get unlimited hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, peanuts and soda until the final out of the game. Ha! I do have a Toto with a heated seat so about as comfortable as we can get with a
Mission at hand.
I used to work at the ballpark. Im familiar with the layout inside outside and deep into the catacombs of the club house. Theres a reason pnc park ranks consistently in the top 3.
Is it just the overall design of the park or is there more to it that gives it the high grade. I think it’s the best in the MLB but that could be some bias there.
@TomWasHereOnCZcams I think for me it's definitely the accessibility. And the jack.n Mac dogs (which sounds like a sexual innuendo to me).
Such a shame the Buccos lost when you were there. To be fair, though, they have been getting more hits and scoring runs since the Pirates called up Henry Davis from Triple A, even if the pitching isn't great, so you gotta give credit to them.
By calling the seating section Pirate Cove, do you think the Pirates are trying to capitalize off of the San Francisco Giants' McCovey Cove? Regardless, PNC Park is still a beautiful ballpark.
They were playing the Braves who had the best record in baseball, just glad they kept it competitive! Also, not sure if it was an inspiration from McCovey’s cove, I don’t know if that’s a recent name or if they always called that section by that name.
@@TomWasHereOnCZcams I remember watching Pirates promos for those all you can eat seats on FSN Pittsburgh around 2009 or so while watching a Pirates game, and I don't think they had a name for that yet. So yeah, it might have been a recent name.
