    I do like the bigger board but I think it might be better for the Daikaiju if you only use 1 maybe 2 for the max for any number of players as that will make it less luck based and the players have more room to play.

    I know you said you can’t put yourself in these situations, but is it permissible to strategically place tiles to drive other players off the board or into a daikaiju?

    • @WatchItPlayed
      @WatchItPlayed  Před 10 lety +2

      I avoid recommending games. It's really going to depend on your preferences and the people you game with. I suppose, since you can play regular Tsuro with Tsuro of the Seas, maybe that gives you the most options?

    • @misscinnabun79

      ***** Thank you for your reply. I understand that you try to avoid recommending games, makes sense. After I read more comments and the fact that the Tsuro of the Seas can be played both ways, that also makes more sense! Plus, I really like the blue game board :-) Thanks again!

    Wait so do you roll once for all daikaiju movement or separately for each daikaiju?
    Also, when daikaiju drop below 3 do you add new daikaiju all the way back up to the set up number (5 for a 5 player game or whatever)?

    • @WatchItPlayed
      @WatchItPlayed  Před 4 lety +1

      Hey Nick, happy to help with any questions not answered in the video, but isn't that first question answered here: czcams.com/video/3RmC6M-wIxA/video.html
      And yep, you replace back to the set number based on the number of players.

    • @Spellenreporter
      @Spellenreporter Před 4 lety +1

      We played this wrong also, guess my English wasn't good enough)
      the rules say: To determine how EACH daikaiju moves, roll a single die...
      I read it like: roll a single die for each daikaiju...
      Roll 1 die for all daikaiju would have been more clear in the rulebook :)
      So thanks for your video mr. Smith

    • @starbucksmocha88
      @starbucksmocha88 Před 2 lety +1

      @@Spellenreporter I don't think it's that your English is bad, I'm a native speaker and I would have interpreted it the same way with it having said EACH like that. Roll 1 die to determine how ALL of them move would have been a lot more clear.

  • @AlanTheLabcoat
    @AlanTheLabcoat Před 10 lety

    How much bigger is this from the original Tsuro (if only has the absolute outer edge extra, could you just remove that amount of tile?)? And are the slight rule differences (eg. being able to sail past another ship in the opposite direction) explained? Great vid as always though!

    • @WatchItPlayed
      @WatchItPlayed  Před 10 lety

      Do you mean are those rules explained in this video, or in the rulebook for the game? Yes to both.
      Tsuro of the Seas is a 7x7 grid (versus a 6x6 grid)

    • @AlanTheLabcoat
      @AlanTheLabcoat Před 10 lety

      I meant "are the original Tsuro rules included in tsuro of the seas to allow you to play it as authentically as possible?". And ty :)

    • @WatchItPlayed
      @WatchItPlayed  Před 10 lety +2

      AlanTheLabcoat They don't specifically write out the Tsuro rules seperate from the Seas rules, but the rules are the same, once you ignore all the extra tiles and such (as far as I recall).

      @AlanTheLabcoat Před 10 lety

    My sister made an infinite loop on regular tsuro once.
    First we all accused her of cheating and re-tracked her trail many times, then we just figured she won.

    • @WatchItPlayed
      @WatchItPlayed  Před 6 lety +9

      Hey Bill, I don't think she cheated, but it was likely an accidental placement. A loop in regular tsuro would be impossible, as all paths in regular Tsuro start on the edge of the board, and that can never change. Think of it this way - wherever you are in regular tsuro, you should always be able to make a path back to the edge where you started from - and that would be impossible in an infinite loop. If an infinite loop happens in that game, it's likely just that someone moved their piece to a different track when placing their tile.

    What happened with the dragon from the original Tsuro? Why is there no such tile?

    • @WatchItPlayed
      @WatchItPlayed  Před 8 lety

      +Andreas Dahlqvist Hey Andreas, I'm not sure exactly what you're referring to.

    • @andreasdahlqvist4835
      @andreasdahlqvist4835 Před 8 lety

      +Watch It Played in original Tsuro there is a dragon tile, which is used when there is no tiles left in the draw pile. To indicate which player that will be provided the first tile if any new tiles are added to the draw deck. However i wonder if this feature is not included in Tsuro of the seas.

    • @WatchItPlayed
      @WatchItPlayed  Před 8 lety +5

      +Andreas Dahlqvist Ah, of course. Sorry! I blanked on that for a moment. In Tsuro of these Seas you don't need the dragon because you cannot run out of tiles. Tsuro of the Seas has more tiles.

  • @henryordish
    @henryordish Před 7 lety +1

    Pretty sure you can't end up going in an infinite loop.

    • @WatchItPlayed
      @WatchItPlayed  Před 7 lety +1

      With this version you can - it's mentioned in the rule book, so I mentioned it here too. Don't ask me how you do it - but they say it can happen :)

    • @henryordish
      @henryordish Před 7 lety +2

      Oh yeah, you end up on a little semicircular loop, then a Daikaiju pushes the tile you came from out of the way, enabling you to place the other half of the loop. Meddling Daikaijus.

    • @CraigVolpe
      @CraigVolpe Před 7 lety

      Henry Ordish If you do end up in a loop you lose.
