Kevin Rowland is a LEGEND.. Dexy's have been around for decades in one form or another but always with Kevin and Jim Paterson. Several studio albums and they are still recording today. The album "The Feminine Divine" was released only last year (2023) and the song 'My Submission' from it is amazing. I saw them in concert about 10 years ago and Kevin Rowland is still as mad as a bag of badgers! My sister introduced me to them in the early eighties. On the album 'Too-Rye-Ay' take a few minutes and listen to 'Plan B' going into 'I'll Show You', with the words and you'll see what a great songwriter Kevin Rowland is.

I hope you guys can imagine how fresh and new this music sounded as part of New Wave and what I felt to be the 2nd British invasion. It exploded along with MTV which played this and other new wave tunes. This song still sounds fresh to me and evokes a feeling of that time A lot of music from the early 80s not so much, they are more music of their time. but this song is still excellent.... probably because of its obvious British folk influence...something that never goes out of style!
