the system is set for automatic but when you got to the settings for every two days 3 days 5 days exedra you actually left a number in there would this act as a override like in the Clack valve I leave my classroom at a 14-day override so it regenerates whether it needs it or not so the question is why did you leave a number in the day value for regeneration when the system is backwashing based on water usage
Tell me, should there be water in the compartment which takes the salt, I got the 760 model installed a few months back and from day one the salt compartment was filled to about 40% capacity with water and we were then told to put in a half bag of salt at a time, however we seem to be going thru salt very quickly, it just seems to dissolve into the water. A friend of mine has a similar system and their salt compartment has no water in it.
What does that tap indicator mean with a number 1 underneath the indicator that looks like a tap.
I have allot of questions. I just moved into our new home. The water softener has not been maintained so i wanna know how to flush and out and check for leaks
my screen does not look like that what I have is are clocks. got the 3 cylinder system. one charcoal and one sand

Why didn't you set the regen symbol which looks like a triangle recyclable icon? Do I need to push this?

Please help, my screen has a lock on next to the displayed time which is off by 4 hours. I am trying to follow your steps to set the time, however, the lock on the screen does not give me the option to select the up or down arrows and the time does not flash when I press the set button. what to do? all of this started when a service man came to my house to replace a tube on a stenner pump and took my autotrol valve apart and removed my iron filter and dumped some of the carbon inside in my yard, all of this so he can tell me the cost on replacing the carbon inside the iron filter. when I decided not to go with the job, he had such a difficult time putting the autotrol valve the way it was. and the lock displayed next to the wrong time ever since and I cannot adjust the correct time and the generation no come on at 8 am when everyone is using the bathroom getting ready to go to work. any help will be much appreciated and thanks for your videos.

How do i adjust the softner? Sometimes the water feel's like silk as if the soap is not washing off.
1. Water that has been conditioned by a water softener allows soap to dissolve more completely than in hard water. It is common for first time users of soft water to have a slimy experience in the shower. This is due to using more soap than is necessary. The amount of soap needed to lather up is very small in soft water. This is one of the benefits of soft water ( less soap is needed in the bathing, laundry, and household cleaning ). Also, the pores of your skin will no longer be clogged by the undissolved soap. Once a person has adjusted their soap usage and is used to the smooth clean feeling achieved by bathing in soft water, they will have a negative "rough" feeling, if they bathe in hard water again.
Andrew Cross thanks alot . I also have another question . So if currently i find myself using a lot of soap , also seeing residue build up limescale in shower head how can i adjust its on high right now.

I can't get the water softer to stop draining water. What do I do?
By pass it. The valves on top at the water inlet will let you switch it
My screen is flickering and says error, also its stuck in regeneration cycle.
I had a similar issue--error 3. I looked this up and it means the motor has died so I replaced the motor. New motor works, but I can't figure out how to reset the system and get rid of the error message. Suggestions?
