    Nick, as a counterpoint to TI DLP Pico, you should give Sony/Microvision an opportunity to showcase their 720P, infinite focus, Laser beam scanning MEMS pico projectors. There are currently two devices available in the market... the Celluon PicoPro and the Sony MP-CL1. Both are available on Amazon and are consistently outselling their DLP counterparts. MicroVision laser projection is also in the Robohon, one of your best videos.;) What's the most exciting is that Mircovision/Sony pico light engine has been successfully embedded into a smartphone. That phone was on display at the MicroVision suite at CES. This phone is currently for sale in China under the brand name of Qualper.
    I hope you give MEMS laser pico projection a look. It will make for a very information comparison video. If on the other hand, you are being sponsored by TI... then I completely understand.
    Keep up the great work.

      +adchop It would be great to film at Sony/Microvision, if you can tell them to invite me to make a video with them I would be happy to do it in Redmond or Japan or in Korea with Celluon, I would be happy to go. I also filmed Celluon and I saw their compact projector. I don't know if those are outselling DLP though, DLP is pretty huge. DLP was fitting inside a smartphone 5 years ago and I filmed it in Samsung Beam with 242thousand views czcams.com/video/qU_bTKYh5_Y/video.html but for some reason they didn't do the right marketing to make the idea a huge success, the potential is giant, it's just that the sales and funding people are not confident enough about the potential of their technology and they just haven't yet implemented smartphone-pico the right way.

      +ARMdevices.net The glyph is the most exciting and revolutionary product i have seen so far in terms of screen or projection tech. once they can get the resolution up and do versions that cover higher field of view the glyphs tech would probably also replace screens for VR and in general as long as the frequency stays in 120hz range as resolution gets scaled in future iterations.

    well its august now, where are all the $200 1080p projectors?

    • @FlameRat_YehLon
      @FlameRat_YehLon Před 5 lety

      it's July 2018 now and the cheapest 1080p projector still costs at least $300 in China, $400 if you are looking for DLP.
      I guess the $199 is really just those 720p or 480p ones.

    Hi & thanks for the vid/info... I am going to try & track down that sound bar thing. Gymco? P1. I have an Qumi &.. its good However the audio is almost useless - it can barely drive earbuds? Who wants a device u need to carry an external amplifier? So- I'll take a loss & dump that & get the P1 sound bar thing. Also- I heard about the LASER tech. 3 years ago & am waiting 4 that stuff 2 come out of the closet. adchop's comment below is very interesting

      +Kamalakrsna Devi they crowdfunded the new version of it as Jmgo View on www.indiegogo.com/projects/jmgo-view-projector-a-smart-tv-in-your-backpack it'll be available on other platforms now that the indiegogo is shipped to backers around the world. I'll post an awesome Laser DLP (instead of LED DLP) projector video coming up. I'd like some perfect lag-synchronized bluetooth or other lag-free wireless audio technology to get good sound wirelessly preferably stereo from each side of the projection, thus in front of me with the projector behind.

      +ARMdevices.net OK - thanks for the info - I was unable to find that "Jmgo" company or products - I tried a few different spellings - but not THAT one. However... I'm now starting to consider the LASER projector technology.
      I can't wait 4ever - so: " whatever thou doist ... doist it quickly"

    Too many 720p devices. Enthusiasts desperately need a 4K HDR projector for under $2000. Not replacing my 125" 1080p screen with a 80" 4K panel anytime soon.
