Hell yeah Reg. I was looking at my X100V and wishing it had 10 bit. Started looking into trading up for the X100VI and honestly still might. But I wanted to use my favorite stills camera for video and it occurred to me "duh, why don't I just use film sims for video?!" Looked you up first and you had a video for it. Always coming through man. Going to try this out.

If it’s just for yourself, then I would think it’s fine. If it’s for clients, I would double check with them as they have the final say
Really appreciate these recipes you're putting out for photo and video Reggie. In fact, I use your Reggie Portra recipe 95% of the time for photos and I'm using Eterna and Classic Chrome 50/50 when it comes to video.
One question I have is do you still need to shoot in 10 bit H265 for the film simulation recipes in video mode for CZcams or is 8 bit enough?

It depends on what you need/expect - to get the most quality out of it, yes. For CZcams I’m typically shoot 10 bit 422 h265 360 Mbps.

For older cameras I just set it as my only film recipe for video

Dope ! Question... Does the camera give you slots for custom video AND custom photo ? Or do you only get 5 slots no matter what...?
I think it depends on the camera model. The X-T5 gets a set of custom and a set of custom photo.

5 total. One for the standard camera modes and then c1-c4
Thanks for sharing. I’m using this recipe but feel the video a bit flat and color is a bit desaturated. I have only tested it indoor. It doesnt look like your samples footage. I’m using it on the XT5 too. Anything I may have done wrong here?
It’s not supposed to match the sample photos. It’s supposed to match the sample videos I showed.

If it’s flat it just means your lighting scenarios are flat

So really, pre-ordering is really just holding your place in line. So once I get a confirmed order, I'll be cancelling the other pre-orders
