Diva dance from Bastau concert is next level from this one. His vocals got far better by then. Technique changed and voice matured
Fellow Kazakh singer Daneliya Tuleshova she is just 14 and is already developing a singing style that is captivating. Ask your friend Charismatic Voice about her. Two recent songs, 'Arcade' by Duncan Laurence and 'Not About Angels' by Birdy. When she was 10 she entered and won The Voice Kids Ukraine. Her blind audition was an amazing version of 'Stone Cold' by Demi Lavato. It went viral and at this point has been viewed over 66 million times. She also had her run on AGT 2020. While she didn't win, and there is some controversy about the voting methods in the finals that has always been hinkey. All I know is she was winning every after performance poll that came out, and by a substantial margin. She was also receiving the most views every one of her performances had more than a million views. I'm not saying bad things will happen if you don't listen to her. But I have it at the highest clearance levels that Dimash is following Daneliya very closely and making note.......OK I'm just kidding but please give this young talented and very beautiful lady a chance to show out. I think that fall at the end just adds dramatic vibe to the performace. He performed this song many times and he made it looks so easy and sings comfortably, not falling. Lol
I read a comment, that he added the fall at the end as a reference to the death of the alien woman in the movie after she had sang Diva dance. Another possible reason that comes to mind is that it is quite goofy and what I`ve heard, Chinese people like goofy humor. Just like I do.

Dimash was having an issue with his vocal cords & was singing against doctors orders. Diva Dance from his Bastau Concert a few months later is SO much better.
Dimash is so passionate, then delicate during Confessa before the frivolity of Diva Dance. It’s true that Dimash’s vocal precision and extreme range are - literally - out of this world. Also love Elizabeth’s channel and yours!

I know that everybody will tell you that you watched the wrong version of Diva Dance and that you should check out the Bastau one. I just want to add that the main difference between them is that Singer version was performed 2 semitones lower than the original version, while Bastau's just one semitone. All in all, Bastau's is pretty impressive.
as always with his performances, there always are small differences and you can (and should) watch them all :-)
for "diva dance", i always recommend to start with this first version from the singer competition, followed by other versions, to finally finish with "drunken concubine" which he performed together with a singer of "chinese opera".
btw: in the movie, the "intro" to the short diva dance song was "lucia von lammermore", and here it was "confessa" (original by adriano celentano, well known italian singer for decades, can also be found on youtube)
ps: "Andrea Silvestro" sounds italian, and in italy "Andrea" is the male version of that name, eg Andrea Bocelli. thus at first i was confused a bit whether it was her channel or his channel ...

If you noticed that he wasn't singing Diva Dance note for note, you have to check out the version he sang at the Bastau concert. He surpassed himself and he is even closer to the original.
And because the Bastau version is just a minute, you could add the third Diva Dance mashed up with Drunken Concubine in a spectacular duet with Beijing Opera singer Li Yugang. They have a real voice battle.

Great reaction guys. But the one you would’ve liked a lot more is the diva dance he sang at the bastau concert it even had a couple of the blue aliens there. It’s only about a minute and a half would love to see you react to that. But great reaction guys.

You are wrong, Dimash was sick during his "Daybreak" performance in Singer 2017. This version of Diva dace supposed to be like this, no mistakes.

Albanian opera singer Inva Mula, when she was offered to sing an aria for the film, said that it was impossible to sing like that. The human voice cannot change registers and intonation so quickly. The aria was recorded in parts and then merged into one whole. Only Dimash can do it.

"Diva Dance" Bastau is even better.
He performed while sick in this episode. For a better Diva Dance rendition, watch his 2017 Bastau concert version. More powerful and more high notes.
Also his duet in China of Drunken Concubine/Diva Dance for a special battle of singers and a special surprise whistle note.
He does a couple of variations on the Diva Dance. Even though this is a short “chopped” version it might be my favorite because of the juxtaposition with Confessa.
If you want a version closer to the movie version watch his performance of Diva Dance from Bastau.
