The landzie peatmoss spreader is well worth the money. I have a homemade one and the one from landzie. I picked up a sunjoe dethatcher, landzie peatmoss spreader and a pull behind dethatcher for a riding lawnmower all for 125.00 last year on offerup. I sold the dethatcher for 50.00 the same week. If you are overseeding each year it's worth the price.

I was gonna mention, you do not have to use the “power drive”, I actually manually push my McLane a lot, just like the TB110
I only rock the power drive on up hill, or long straight sections

If you have a leaf blower with a mulcher attachment, you can use that to spread the peatmoss. Just take the bag off and put the mulching end in the peat moss and it will spray it all over the yard.

@@YardBrah Hybrid Bermuda (sod from when the house was built in 2013). I fought the Poa Annua battle big time! Then knocked out Nutsedge and Kylinga recently. I’ll have to do one more round of Sedgehammer but it has already made a 98% difference! And didn’t kill my grass in the summer temps 🙏🏻.

For real! yesterday I was working on a project and took my time cause I knew I wasn't going to be able to cut with the off and on rain... finally at 10pm it settled so I did a quick trim 😂🙌🏾🤙🏾

Interesting to see your using mason sand as opposed to silica. Have you ever tried the latter as here in Ireland it’s what most green keepers would use.

So cut low, aerate and spread sand to level. I'm new to this and have an extremely bumpy and moist lawn on a hill. To the point the soil is exposed in the bumps 😳 and can I just use the quickrete all purpose sand from home depot by itself since I can't find the mason sand?

Best time is spring and fall for cool season but in the PNW we can really do it whenever 😂😊🙏🏾🤙🏾👊🏾
Which aerator do you think is more effective? This new one or the Amick?
Does the Amick give you lawn sausages? And it’s good for the grass to leave those on top for a few days to decompose into nutrients for the lawn I thought.
I mean the new one is more effective as in it creates lawn sausages even with super moist soil... but with the right conditions Amick creates cores too... the difference is speed and price that's all it comes down to speed and price. Amick is just a faster tool but more expensive. Yes it's good to leave the lawn sausages I just wanted to have a clean slate for the sand level 😊🙏🏾🤙🏾
Great video Brah!!! Hey question? Did your buddy sharpen your reel mower. I tired mine on a little 10’ piece of the lawn and it didn’t cut it it freakn pulled the damn grass😂. I think I might need to get it either sharpened or just rebuild it. Anyway..can’t wait to see your results keep one keeping on.

Why would you Aerate then roll? you are cancelling out the aeration by compacting directly after...
so what happens if a guy....does the same thing you did but WITHOUT the peat moss covering? i know you mentioned a bird problem. are there any other concerns if you don't use peat moss/potters mix?
As long as you rake the seed in you’ll be fine… this season I didn’t cover the seed and it came out perfect 🤙🏾

@@johnrossi6212 So people will tell you "once you sand there's no turning back" BS bro the sand is just gonna mix in with the soil. After a season if you pull a plug you can see see it layered up... pretty much it's a good form of aeration 😂🤙🏾

YOU CAN DO IT! 😂😂😂 totally doesn’t have to be every year I noticed once the soil gets a little bumpy just adding sand to a spreader and a light coat usually does the trick 😊🤙🏾
