- This operation easily showcases just howe good the Arc Thrower is for mobbing. While the Railgun does more single target damage, if you are needing a solid weapon to mob with, look no further. The Arc Thrower can take out every single enemy type in the game, too. Even Tanks, Hulks, and enemy Auto Cannons/Mortars! DEUCES!

i like how versatile and how long ranged it is. you can absolutely thin a horde coming at you, or fry the infantry as well as taking on large targets.
I'm just glad i am not the only one who calls them "super samples"!😅

Four people with them in a line abreast and you will melt everything in front of you.
One piece of cover or a shield and you can take on damn near anything.

LOVE THE ARC! love the "hidden mechanics" behind it and when you "fully learn" the weapon how OP it can be. Of course not as "fast" at killing certain things compared to say EAT's or Railcannon, but the Chaining is too good, I always want 1 of these in my Squad!
Great vid - been interested in trying out arc thrower myself and glad to see it can work! Any tips you might have on using it at higher difficulties?
Much appreciated! I definitely think this is a slept on weapon. Just know that even tanks, hulks and even enemy mortars/AA guns will die to this thing. Once you get the timing down, you can shoot it faster than you might think, you don't have to fully charge each shot.
After the first fully charged shot each afterwards will only need about half the charge to fire so it can shoot pretty fast. It chains to other enemies as well as allies only if behind the first target so shooting the first in line is best and make sure your teammates aren't behind them. Also it has trouble targeting enemies up close so use it in mid-long range
Arc Thrower hit box is very annoying, sometimes there's a little box in front of me or near the bot and it just wouldn't hit my target. If they changed the consistency in that, it would perform so much better.
It definitely gets caught on odd and wonky geometry. But once you get used to it, you barely even have to aim it.
If you're having hitbox issues on a target, I found aiming slightly above the mobs head helps. It lets the arc curve downwards into the mob, instead of into a null object.
As a lightning enjoyer. I believe the arc thrower/shield build is best for running ahead and ending possible fights before they begin.
I can't wait to unlock it, I used it one time after finding it mid game and it was amazing
Easily one of the best and quite possibly for me, the most fun weapon I've used so far.
Arc Thrower is perfect if you're the supply guy.

@@yourdadsotherfamily3530 Everyone is shitting on this weapon, and while it may not be a top contender for Helldive difficulty, this was difficulty 7 and as you saw, it shreds. Plus, never running out of ammo really helps.

😂 I had just woken up so I was using the PS5 controller mic here and there. The sound you are probably referring to is when I charge the arc thrower with the mic turned on which is why I was trying to only have it on while talking, specifically for that reason, lol.
this looks painful. 6 shots into a hulk and he doesn’t die and busts through your shield and kills you in 1 volley. 4 shots in a berserker and theyre still alive forcing you to use your primary
ok the only cool thing is 12 shots to kill a tank lol nvm that doesnt even count because your teammate shot it with a rocket first

It is, but I really enjoy it versus the Terminids. Plus being able to stun lock hulks and devastators is quite satisfying as well.
People buy the arc thrower use it, kill teammates and gets bullied for it and never uses it to its max potential. 😢

Ah, a fellow lightning enjoyer. Arc thrower gets a really bad rap, its an awesome weapon if used right.
It is easily one of the best weapons in the game, and can literally kill every single thing you come up against. Sure, it may not be the fastest method on certain things like the bile titan, but it certainly gets the job done.

It's rare to come up against a solitary charger as well, usually there's a whole mess of bugs to clear out and the railgun, while obviously better at stripping armour from a single target can't do anything against a crowd. The versatility of the arc thrower, not to mention unlimited ammo, makes it more useful in my opinion.
